Worst thing ever. Unresponsive client team, took weeks to just get a denial and then I was charged. Avoid.

We appreciate your feedback. We are sorry your experience was not satisfactory, and we understand the frustration with being unresponsive and taking time to receive a denial. Unfortunately, prior authorizations are not determined by us but rather by a member's insurance provider. While we can ensure expediency when submitting a prior authorization, the time it takes to receive a determination is out of our hands. Is there anything we can do to improve your experience with our clinic?

Horrible experience. Wasted $300 and never got any medication. I asked if I could be refunded and they said no because of all the additional resources they have to offer. I said I never used them, can I get a refund. They said no. Big fat waste of time and $300.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We apologize for any pricing confusion or frustrations around the prescription process. At this time, membership costs cover the services of a member's Care Team, while medication costs and insurance coverage pricing are determined by the pharmacy and a member's insurance formulary, not by our program. For example, members meet 1:1 with their Clinician. They also utilize our Insurance Coordination team to help explore insurance coverage, medication stock, and more. Every member is also assigned a Care Coordinator, Registered Dietitian, and Fitness Coach, and they can use our live support groups and educational group event features. Per our Terms & Conditions, "The Sequence subscription fee is not refundable once a billing period has started. If a member cancels during a billing period, they may access the Sequence program until the end of the billing period. Members may reach out to their Care Team at any point to see when their current billing period ends and their next billing period begins." Is there anything we can do make things better for you and improve your experience with our clinic? We sincerely value your feedback and would love your input.

Joined with high hopes but ended up disappointed. I've basically been paying them to tell me my meds are not available and that they will get back to me in two days. My insurance approved the meds but since there is a storage joining was basically pointless. They havent offered my any real options

Thank you for taking the time to review Sequence. We appreciate you sharing your experience, and we apologize that we made you feel let down. We are sorry to hear that even though your insurance approved a medication your pharmacy doesn't have it in stock. Have you talked with your Care Team about alternative treatment options? There are both Core medications and GLP-1s that are not experiencing shortages and are widely available at pharmacies. We also encourage you to check out the shortage guide we made for members, which you can access on the Treatment section of your app or by messaging your Care Team. Please let your Care Team know if you have any other questions.

Rip off. If you have type 2 diabetes you don't need this site, you'll get the meds from your MD. If you're not approved for injectables for weight loss by your insurance due to not having type 2 diabetes, (my insurance is Highmark Blue Cross and they revoked my approval without notice) then what Sequence prescribes isn't really an option due to our of pocket cost. And I was horribly sick, nauseated and fatigued on the initial Wegovi and Mounjaro. Overall, a HORRIBLE MONEY WASTE and upsetting experience.

You will pay for this subscription every month and please know that it does not cover the prescription- you are paying to basically talk to them. Get ready for responses that take days, and you will have to do all the work in finding the medicine if you really want to find it. I finally found out I was eligible for a 3mo supply in mail in order through my insurance, all they asked was that my doc to change the script to go to them instead I thought “Easy enough!” - only for my care coordinator to say they only give out 1 month supplies at a time due to their “policy of keeping track of the patient” (even though, I’m paying essentially $100 a month for that anyways - regardless what the script / duration was) and I was unable to do a mail in order… yeah whatever. What she meant to say was they only give 1 month supplies to keep you trapped into paying their absurd subscription. The nerve to have a policy like that, while you are paying for “support” and while every other doc in the country is prescribing 3mo doses and people are receiving them. What a joke, I’m about to cancel. I felt like I was scammed out of my money.

Thank you for your feedback. We are able to write 90-day prescriptions. However, some clinicians may not be comfortable doing so if 1) you haven't yet titrated to a steady maintenance dose (since you can't change the dosing after a 90-day Rx is dispensed), and 2) you do not have at least 30 days left in your membership (to ensure they have a safe observation period and are able to handle any side effects for you). If you have a 3-month membership and are on a steady dose of your medication, we can help resolve this. Please email hello@joinsequence.com letting us know what email you signed up with.

SUPER Shady business practice. First of all, a FREE trial should be $0, right? It's not. It's $49. If your insurance denies the medication which generally happens within the first week, you stuck into a contract paying $350 to Sequence for fraud essentially. You can't bill people for a service they are not receiving.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologize for any confusion around the billing process. The $49 is not for membership but rather for the initial clinician consultation to get evaluated and see if you're eligible for pharmacological obesity treatment. Moreover, if you signed up for a 3-month billing cycle plan at checkout and are facing shortages, you can get evaluated for one of the medications that are do not have shortages, ask your Care Team to pause your membership, or cancel your membership and terminate your contract early due to shortages. Please reach out to hello@joinsequence.com for more help.

I'd like to know the number of people who signed up vs the number of people who actually got medicine, or even qualified for medicine. Does any of the medicine cost less than $700 per prescription?

Since medication coverage varies by insurance plan and a member's medical history, there are many members whose insurances will provide coverage for a GLP-1 medication under their formularies. If a member's insurance won't cover a GLP-1, there are often manufacturer savings cards that can lower the cost of a GLP-1 medication for those who qualify, or members can be evaluated for generic medications whose costs are included in membership. Those generic medications are generally the most affordable and are at no cost to the member when using our mail-order pharmacy partner. Our Insurance Coordinators will submit any required insurance paperwork, including prior authorizations, as we explore treatment options. However, we do not set a member's formulary.

Charged $49 then they want to charge $99 for 3 more months all for a few emails & a denial from insurance. I could have gone to my own Dr & got the same result for nothing. Not sure how they think this is acceptable. $350 for what?

Don't sign up unless you know the medication is available in your area. They will lock you in a "commitment plan" and charge for a few months even you even if you can't get the medication you want. It's not sufficient to offer other medication that people don't want - the advertisement is all about semaglutide and that what people indicate when they join.

I only joined to get the prescription. I should have cancelled sooner but kept thinking something would show up. They offered to find other sources but really they can do better than Walgreens or Amazon??? I've been waiting since July to get a refill. At least I didn't keep waiting and cancelled today. They can tell I didn't use anything and only wrote in response to not being able to get a prescription. Switched to GOLO!! Much better and no side effects!!

They give you a rx for the weight loss shots but shots are not included in price. They tell you first month free then $89 for first 3 months. Well they charge $49 right at the start and won't refund it, when they sis absolutely nothing but ask for your information .

Totally lacking in responsiveness to questions. It's not good enough to put "expect a response in 1-2 days" at the bottom of every request for assistance. And then not even respond within that time. Hire more people or don't charge $99 per month for membership. I'm fine with a 24 hour turn around but beyond that, especially when you are dealing with prescription questions, it is totally unacceptable to delay like this. It's actually harmful.

If you could actually get any of the medicine it would be great. But there is a National shortage of the meds that most insurances will cover with no date to replenish in sight. It’s a rip off and a waste of my $$$ I’m disgusted that I spent money, time and the energy to do this. Most of all I was excited to actually lose the weight and that’s what makes me the most sad. I feel like I was lied to and taken advantage of.

I signed up for this program only to find out that I would have to pay cash out of pocket for the meds. I cannot afford to do that. They also charge you for “commitment” months and you can’t cancel those. I was under the assumption that they would help get this through so it would be approved with my insurance. Nope! Didn’t happened. The meds that are offered are all on back order anyway so it’s almost impossible to get them even if you pay cash. Beware of this program.

Thank you for your feedback. We are able to support those with commercial insurance on insurance file the appropriate paperwork with the insurance company, if needed for their medication. However, for those on government-sponsored insurances or those without insurance, it's likely they will need to pay out-of-pocket without coverage for medications. We also offer a few generic medications included in the cost of membership when using the mail-order pharmacy option. We understand that you felt the disclaimers about this weren't clear enough, and we'll pass that feedback along to our team.

I was billed for Sequence and all I did was look into it. I don't know how they got authorization to bill me. I have put in a claim as a fraudulent business. Beware!!!

Thank you for leaving a review. We only charge members after they sign up and pay for our service— we cannot and do not collect billing information without member authorization. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sequence takes your money and gives you no service. Its pretty much theft. I dont recommend Sequence in 2023. They ofter a list of medication, none of which are actually available. Eventhough, they cant give you what they offered, they refuse you a refund for your service. Total garbage.

Sequence failed me. Not enough information to know how my body breaks down food which is what I asked for from day one, so that I may understand how to live. Tried many diets and they only worked so far, they knew this and still just offered the same plans others offered. Paying a membership monthly is mostly for the drugs they give to boost weight loss, but no actual support to understand your body. Will not recommend it!

Thank you so much for your feedback, Jessy. We are very sorry to hear about your negative experience. We agree that it’s important to have enough information to hit your health goals. Were you able to take advantage of the 1:1 Registered Dietitian visits that come with your membership? Our RDs are a great resource to help support healthy nutrition alongside any medication treatment plan your Clinician recommends. We also have nutrition workshops and support groups under the Group Events card. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us so we can make things better. We really appreciate your input.

They are not clear in what their fees are. There is the monthly auto-pay charge but that only covers your conversations and check-ins with them. The meds (GLP-1) are going to be extra and dependent on whether you use insurance. If you are not using insurance, the cost is still very high per injection. I realized that the day after I signed up and cancelled since I can't afford that. They said because I had what seemed to be an automated message, that I could not receive a refund of $49.00. With this medication constantly being on a shortage and of it's extreme price, all plans really need to lay that out so you truly can understand what you are signing up for. I can't afford $1k+ a month plus their fees.

This is a total scam!!! You won't get a response for DAYS, they told me my RX was ready for pickup but after THREE trips to the pharmacy I was unable to actually pick up the medication because of something they didn't do on their end (pre-auth, provide a diagnosis code etc). I am so furious that I am disputing their charge for a service that ended up not being provided. Stay away!!!!

Don’t waste your time or money. The company’s advertising is very misleading. It appeared as though I would be able to get the recommended medication at the price advertised before paying. After paying I was informed that the price advertised was pending insurance approval. Had I known that in advance, there wouldn’t be a need to use this company. The medication that was recommended was not covered by my insurance. I requested a refund and was not refunded the full amount even though I hadn’t received any services. They tried to say they offered other services outside of medication however it’s not worth the price.
