“Prescribed” medications 3x but never received by my pharmacy. They only care about the money. I put my subscription on hold for 1 month but they would not let me reactivate it unless I pay for the months I had it paused. Also, not much help getting your insurance to approve it. You’d still be paying$1000/pen.

Please be aware that this is a very expensive ($49 + ~$100/mo depending on your up-front commitment) way to access prescription GLP-1 drugs (Saxenda, Ozempic, etc) used off-label for weight loss. What they don't tell you is that these drugs are VERY expensive for average people ($1000-1500/mo) on top of the Sequence subscription if your insurance does not cover these meds for weight loss. In other word they depend of your medical/prescription insurance paying for the medication. Otherwise the only options available to you are a few non GLP-1 drugs (like Metformin) that are included in the outrageous cost of the subscription and have substantially less dramatic benefit for weight loss. So in short you are paying for a prescription that your PCP could write you. It does include a core Weight Watchers membership however the actual "diet plan" the Sequence dietician gives you is a joke. It was a 1 page handout with general diet recommendations and a picture of a plate with portion proportions that you could easily Google. Save yourself the money and join Weight Watchers directly and talk to your doctor if you are interested in weight loss drugs. (Though I am kind of angry that WW essentially scammed me out of $300 at the moment so maybe join Noom. ;-} )

I never heard from anyone via email or a call. Yet they have my money and more worrisome, they have my ID and medical insurance information. It’s been 7 days. I’ve notified my credit card company and now need to notify my medical insurance company.

I have never spoken to a clinician. They raise hopes and make promises they can't keep. It's essentially a scam.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. In some states, members are able to choose between doing a chat consultation or a video consultation. Every member is assigned a Clinician and must go through a clinical consultation. Is it possible that you've chosen a chat consultation? If you'd prefer a video call, your Care Team can help you set that up—or you can email us at hello@joinsequence.com.

Started out good, but the past few months they have really gone downhill. You almost never speak to your prescriber, only a customer service "care coordinator". Every request takes days to respond, and they will almost always get it wrong. I've been waiting for them to update my prescription for nearly 2 months now, while paying for them every month. I asked to go down in dose, and they keep sending a higher dose EVERY SINGLE TIME. When you remind them that you'd like it lowered, they still send in a higher one, then apologize and say they will fix it, then go completely dark and never respond. This company feels like a pill mill that truly does not care about patient care.

I signed up for Sequence recently and have had some very concerning experiences so far. A week ago, I received an update from my care team that my insurance was requesting additional documentation proving 6 months of a weight loss program as part of the insurance prior authorization policy. When I checked my insurance portal, no prior authorizations had been submitted. I notified the care team and they apologized saying they were gathering information before submitting in case my insurance requested it. I provided the information and then they updated me that the prior authorization had been sent. I’ve been keeping an eye on my insurance portal and nothing is showing as pending. Today, Sequence said my prior authorization and coverage was denied. I asked if they could forward the communication from my insurance company because nothing was showing in the portal. She said sure and then proceeded to share with me a denial letter for another patient, for another medication, with another insurance provider 🤯 this seems highly unprofessional and very sketchy.

Sequence was great when I first started about a year ago. The staff were very attentive and responsive, but that has changed in the last few months. Had to switch treatment and insurance wouldn't cover new treatment. Sequence was unable to assign with getting my insurance company to cover the new treatment and suggested older medication that isn't effective. They will convince you that they can help with your insurance company when you first sign up, but they are unlikely to get your medication approved. Only join if you want to pay out of pocket or have a documented diagnosis. The monthly fee is not worth the service provided.

They take days to respond to simple inquiries which continues to force your treatment weeks back and with 26 days left in my treatment after paying over $200. They then said that they couldn’t provide me with the medication because I needed to pay for another 30 days even though my request for my medication was before 30 days were up. Horrible.

I can understand that insurance won't cover certain medications. What I don't understand is why the doctor would specifically say that the generic medication would not be good for me and yet they still shipped it out. Luckily I read the fine print and found out that it could be harmful to my health in combination with the medications I'm currently taking. That could have been very bad for my health.

Have been using sequence for about 1 year, I have dealt with the hurdles of getting Mounjaro and believe me they are frustrating. I have been successful at losing weight (54lbs) but essentially I only use a sequence for the prescription. I can do it w/o their support. I am most frustrated with the time delay it takes to respond to messaging. It is especially slow anytime during a weekend or holiday so I do not find them a high reliability company, far less than that. Because of the lack of timeliness in getting back to you many times I've missed my scheduled dosing. Getting back to you in 2-5 days is outrageous.

First it took forever to get a prescription. I got a script for Wegovy, even though I started in April and supplies stopped again in May of 2023. My pharmacist stated every physician should have known about the upcoming shortage. I took it for a month with no side effects lost some weight it was great! Then they stopped making it..again. They put me on Saxenda which is a daily injection. Worst medication ever! Had immediate side effects went to ER for abdominal pain etc. I made the mistake of being honest about this with the online clinician. My blood work was high but within range. He wanted me to take more blood tests and get more paperwork in order to continue Wegovy in September… two months later when and if they began production again. It took me three months to get two, two month prescriptions from this company due to lack of on-time communication. I refused more tests as I am now feeling great since I took MYSELF of Saxenda. Long story short I paid this company hundreds and countless trips to get tests and letters and in the end I got nothing. Cancelled my subscription; there are far too many companies like this out there to be so inconvenienced by one.

Just clickbait for weight watchers.. you'll spend a lot of time filling out information and they'll tell you you don't qualify and they will send you to weight watchers. Total waste of time

This is a membership scam. My appointment was with a qualified medical professional who said that I should ask my insurance company why they would approve. She indicated that I could be approved for an umber of drugs but I was denied. She showed up to my appointment fresh out of the gym or nap time. Impossible to find information on the website of how to cancel your membership. This is a scam. Beware!

I experienced a frustrating sequence of events while trying to obtain Monjouro medication. Initially, I was informed that I needed a prior authorization from my doctor in order to acquire the medication at a cost of $40. However, despite being assured that the prior authorization had been processed by Sequence, it turned out that they had not followed through on their promise. Consequently, I had to pay an exorbitant amount of $540 per month out of pocket for the medication. To make matters worse, upon contacting my insurance provider today, I discovered that Monjouro was indeed covered, but I simply required a prior authorization. I am incredibly infuriated that the doctor failed to submit the necessary paperwork, resulting in me needlessly spending $1040. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, particularly given the lack of any response from Sequence following this incident. Furthermore, I suspect that the positive endorsements I have come across on platforms such as TikTok and other social media channels are merely paid promotions. It is essential to exercise caution when dealing with their service.

Complete waste of time. I tried to get two different medications and both would have been at least $1300 a month (even with my insurance covering a small portion of it). I asked if there were any cheaper options and even the cheapest option, assuming my insurance covered more (which seems doubtful), would have been about $700 a month.

Scam. They take your money and schedule a meeting. Then the day of the meeting they say that they have to reschedule 2 weeks out. Save your money and your time.

Scheduled the appointment and no one joins. No response to my message asking about my appointment. I will keep trying but this seems to be a pattern. If they actually show at the next appointment I will update this review.

HORRIBLE. Your insurance will not provide coverage if you do not have a diabetes diagnoses. Unless you can afford to pay 1000 per month (plus their 99/mo subscription fee) don’t even bother. Also, during the intake call my provider tried to tell me that these were lifelong drugs/weight loss solutions. They want you to be on lifelong medication bc it benefits them. They are trying to subscribe drugs for off label uses and insurance companies aren’t buying it.
