“I was happy with my first order but on my second order not that much. Pleae find below an email I wrote to you on the 12th December 2024. Hi providoor, I've ordered twice now, and in my 2 orders I have had different meals. Just a feedback with 2 of the meals so far: -Massaman beef, flavours were amazing but the meat, hardly any meat, a lot of meat hides. -King prawns in red curry, my gosh! the most amazing flavours but to be honest, only 5 prawns for 2 people? not enough for a meal. Hope you take feedback on board, as we expect much much more from your company. Thanks Unfortunately, I won't be buying any more meals.”

“I was no happy witht he meals I received the arricini balls did no have a lot of filling. Not a fan of the Coq au vin not a flavour i enjoyed at all. “The beef buorgignon was very disappointing. Meat was rubbery. Where was the sauce on the Guinness Braised Brisket Stew My order was not delivered on the date arranged then i ask for it to be refuned because i would be away over christmas. It was delivered a week later when no one was home luckily a friend picked it up for me before it was left unattended I have tried many times to contact this company with no reply.”

“The meals are very disappointing, lack any flavour and are lacking the main advertised ingrediant. I feel that frozen meals from the supermarket would be better than the meals I have had for half the price.”

“I regard myself as being a good cook, and I love cooking. However, to be able to have these restuarant quality, chef prepared meals in between my cooking is an absolute treat. The meals we have sampled have been delicious and very reasonably priced. I am about to place my next order!”

“Again no delivery info!!! Half of $325 orders thawed out, offered credit, used that but order didn't arrive. Again asked for refund, still not done. Probably 12-14 emails sent, no reply for days. Very very disappointing. Cooking instructions not accurate. Some meals okay , some not so much, some not as photo description, fried rice was white, no sauce on the chicken, dumplings broke apart, took ages to cook, not the steam for 15 minutes from frozen. Chicken soup very ordinary. Manu's mash was yummy! Poorly run business will probs fail again unless they up their game.”

“Ordered delivery for Christmas and arrived 2 weeks late only after complaining and asking for a refund which was never received. No ability to communicate directly. Poor quality product and service. No response to emails. DO NOT recommend!”

“My experience with Providoor was particularly unpleasant. Despite specific instructions in writing to make delivery to my home address and it was a Sunday as I was at home housebound, the delivery driver nevertheless proceeded to deliver to my office address. As that was an office block in the city which was naturally closed on a Sunday, he simply lefy the goods on the footpath outside the building and failed to respond to my texts requesting him to contact me. Unsurprisingly, the goods were immedialtely pilfered. My complaint the following day was met with a stock standard reply denying all liability, and all subsequent attempts at communication were ignored. Simply appalling customer treatment!”

“Honestly, it’s just a bit underwhelming. This was our second order and both have left a lot to be desired. The meals really lack flavour and just don’t give what I’d expect from Australia’s most esteemed chefs and is nothing like the food from their restaurants. I don’t believe it’s really of the quality advertised. It’s a shame, because we loved the old providoor and it was such a shame when that didn’t work out. We were excited when we saw this version advertised and it’s all star team.”

“I keep them in my freezer, and on days when I can't be bothered, it feels like a treat. It gives me the freedom to invite someone for dinner at the last minute! They are delicious and offer great value.”

“Terrible service emailed 5 minutes after placing order to change something and was responded to a day later and told no change could be made. Further mire product order was appalling and still not eaten as tested and deemed nit servable to guests for Christmas.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed all the items in our order. We made the purchase via a gift certificate, given by very thoughtful friends, after I spent some time in hospital. It certainly took the pressure off my husband & family during the Christmas/New Year period. It could only be made better, with some fresh (not frozen) options.”
