“I couldn’t get all of the stuff downloaded into keepster. I even broke it out into 3 separate months. I still need the month of October and cannot seem to accomplish what I am trying to do. I have yet to receive my “Sept” and “Nov” texts and will see what they look like before further criticizing or adjusting my review. I would love some assistance but don’t seem to be getting it.”

“On September 19th, 2020 my boyfriend passed away at the age of 23. We were together for a year and some change. Maneuvering through life without him was foreign and weird. I felt so lonely. I didn't know how to go back to my everyday life. I was interested in getting our texts turned into a book. We texted all the time. You can see the birth of a relationship develop as you read our texts. I wanted to preserve that and not lose it. I found Keepster. The whole process of choosing the texts and creating the book (fonts, color, title, etc.) was incredibly simple. I keep our text message book in my memory box for him now. I open it up and it brings the biggest smile to my face. It's been a year and 4 months since he's left this Earth. I'm afraid as time goes on and life events happen his memory and personality will fade away. Keepster has helped me remember who exactly he was. This company has created something wonderful and is helping more people than it'll ever know. God Bless.”

“My experience was good. The instructions were clean and as someone who is not "technological" savvy I had no trouble. I wanted to make sure that I had a forever record of my last year of texts with my mom who sadly passed away with cancer this past March. It was the perfect gift to myself to make sure that I have saved an irreplaceable conversation.”

“Keepster is awesome!! I was hesitant to download this program although I truly needed space on my phone, but not only was it easy to use, it saved my messages just as they are on my phone. Searching for a message on Keepster is as easy as searching on my phone. Love it!!! It has been a few days since I started using it, but so far, no indication that it created any safety concerns. As a matter of fact, if you follow instructions from the creator, she tells you what to do to make sure no one else sees your messages. Highly recommend!!”

“I would recommend making a book of your text messages between you and someone you have lost in your life. As part of the grieving process I found it helped to have this precious book that I can visit to relive the beautiful words we shared. Thank you Keepster. The website was simple to use too.”

“I love this idea and I am super excited to get my books! There are just a few things I would tweak: - I had to go through and delete duplicate messages that were created each time someone "loved" or "liked" a message. That was a pain. Even if I searched for these messages, Keepster would only show 40 of them at a time, so I had to search repeatedly to make sure I got them all. I would appreciate if there were an easier way to delete these messages, or if Keepster could find a way to simply put a heart or thumbs up on the messages that were loved/liked. - It would be really nice if there were a mobile app version that could take messages directly from your phone. My computer did not have very much space on it and I had to delete a TON of files before I had enough space to do the backup. Perhaps this could be avoided with a mobile app. - I would prefer if the emojis looked just like the regular old Apple style emojis. - It would be cool if the messages could actually look exactly like they do on a phone (in blue and gray bubbles) - Each time I removed messages, Keepster would take me back to the "View Messages" window (instead of the "Edit Messages" window). If I wanted to remove more messages, I would have to start all over and go back to "Edit Messages," reselect the dates that I wanted, etc. - Finally, I found that I had to quit and reopen the app in order for most changes to take effect. e.g., when I deleted a bunch of messages and then started a new project, the new project would still have all the deleted messages in it unless I quit the app and restarted it before beginning the project.”

Hi Jenna Thanks so much for your review and feedback! We take it all very much to heart and I'm glad to share that we immediately acted on your request to increase the number of messages that can be removed. A fix will be shortly launched enabling 400 messages, searched by any keyword, including 'tap back'/reactions, to be deleted all in one batch. All this to say, as a relatively young company, we actively listen to our customers to help Keepster constantly become even better! As much as we wish you could use Keepster on an iPhone, it is simply not possible as the app depends upon having a local backup of your messages. Or, stated differently, you cannot backup your phone messages to your phone! In addition, we believe there is tremendous value in having a local backup of your messages on your computer so at least if a phone gets lost, damaged or even becomes obsolete, your messages will always be safe and easily accessible. Regarding your design suggestions, it might be good to know that our books were designed by an award-winning team. But still, we will certainly put your suggestions to our community and let the votes be counted! Lastly, we are sorry you had to quit and re-open the app. We have not been able to replicate that issue - but it's always good to ping our Support Team in CHAT in real-time so we can troubleshoot whatever is happening. Again, thanks so much for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback. We truly hope that when your books arrive, they'll exceed your expectations and that they'll be a treasured keepsake for many years to come!

“Something in your web led me to believe I could use kerpsyer to convert iMessage to pdf or text. Apparently not possible and not possible with a very long thread. I have no need of a printed book, so the app is gone.”

Mark - sorry if something about our website mislead you. But, Keepster specializes in allowing you to make professionally printed books from your iMessages or Whatsapp chats. We have the option to purchase a PDF as an add-on so you have a digital copy of your Keepster Book too. Plus, you're Keepster Book can be up to 800-pages ... so, it would be possible with a very long thread. Hopefully, you reconsider. We are standing by on chat to help you if you need assistance.

“This app comes up when you google "save sms messages as pdf." This, and the description of the app is misleading. I spent over an hour getting this garbage to work and only after downloading all the messages and getting support, did it become clear that I'd have to order a book in order to get the pdfs. I am involved in an awful legal situation and didn't have the time to be misled or have my stress added to. Please advertise clearly.”

We are so sorry that you found our service not to be what you were looking for. In no way do we intend to be misleading. In fact, we have taken great care on our website and in all of our advertising to use precise laguage to explain what we do: Keepster is a service to backup messages and save them as printed books. At present we also offer an option to order a digital copy of a book, as an add-on only. As a business that focuses on turning meaningful messages into keepsakes, had our Customer Support known that you were not needing to create a book, they would have gladly saved you the time.

“I like the app and it’s cute to create a book of text. However I strongly dislike that you can just print a pdf from the app. Books are great for the Wife and Grandma, but without the direct ability to print to PDF, it looses the appeal for us in the business world….and I believe a great revenue stream for Keepster.”

Thank you for sharing that you like the idea of creating a book of texts! At present, our focus is on creating books as tangible keepsakes, with a digital copy as an add-on. We are committed to providing this unique service, taking into account how emotional or sentimental some texting conversations can be. However, we understand how important texting is in all types of contexts, so the feature to create stand-alone digital copies is already on our roadmap. “The application is super easy to use! My phone carrier does not allow you transcripts of your texts so this was the only way to get a copy from a group conversation with a lost loved one. There isn't a value I can put on the memories I was able to save.”

“This is a beautiful keepsake! My mother passed in 2019, and I couldn’t bear to delete our text messages going back to 2016. I found Keepster and easily uploaded the texts, selected a cover, composed a dedication page and more. My “book” arrived and it was more than I expected. It was professionally put together and beautiful. The sentimental value incomparable. I didn’t realize the end product was going to be a chronological journal of not only our conversations but also historical events. I HIGHLY recommend you use Keepster to create your keepsake!!!”

“I think the idea is good but it doesn't follow through. I connect my IPhone 11 via USB and choose the text message conversation that I'd like to save. It seems to be working but doesn't complete, just keeps spinning like it's working. The initial conversation was saved the 1st time I used Keepster. Itunes was updated and I was easily able to choose the conversations to save, and it was done. It hasn't successfully saved a conversation since and the messages are not lengthy.”
