About Le Chameau:

Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I don't need to buy wellies very often Le Chameau wellies take a lot of wearing out. But ordering is so easy. I just went on their official website site, ordered and they arrived 3 days later. No fuss just exactly what I needed. I also bought a Le Chameau years ago, it's still going strong.”

“The reason I stay with Le Chameau is that the boots are amazing and the customer service is second to none. I have worn these boots for around 7 years now, changing from another brand that will remain nameless. I wish I had done this years ago. I wear them every day and for this reason, they do get a battering but they stay as good as the day they were bought which makes them the best on the market. I have been lucky to wear several different brands and all of them are excellent. As with any consumable, they also suffer wear and tear and with the warranty in place, there is a no-fuss quick exchange with an amazing team of customer support persons arranging everything. Top boots, top brand and top staff, thank you for everything.”

“I love how flexible the rubber is which makes removing them so much easier. I have a wide foot with a bunion on one foot and fit was not a problem. The only downside was there is no support or padding on footbed. I bought an insert which solved the problem. Love the boot and would buy from company again”

“I was forced to replace my Lacrosse grange boots from 2007. Their new boots feel like they are made out of plastic and very boxy feeling. The Le Chameau's have a great return policy after trying on two sizes. The pros - the rubber is a very good quality and does not seem like they will crack easily. The cons - they do not feel comfortable in the foot bed. My old Grange boots felt like tennis shoes walking. These boots feel ok, just more room for your foot to slide around or heel to come up in the boot. I use the boots for field work walking through wetlands and farming so we will see how they hold up.”

“Wished I'd purchased these boots years ago - they are very sturdy with plenty of grip and the fit is true to size. The Neoprene is thick and therefore my feet were never cold.”

“I would have enjoyed wearing these in my active lifestyle... if only they'd fit around my rock-hard calf muscles. I measured accordingly before placing my order and all that jazz, it isn't my first rodeo. Thankfully the return was easy; though I am MIFFED that the only options were 'return & sorry about your luck'.”
