About Le Chameau:

Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

Hi Lesley, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review - I am sorry to see this was not suitable for yourself. I can see from the order details that this is for our smaller Iris Boot Bag. Sadly this bag is not suitable for all boots and is designed with dimensions for our Iris Boots. I have popped an email over to you, to see how we can resolve this for you. Kind Regards Laura

“Found them not comfortable at all compared to me last (and now replaced wellies) 3 days from getting the Le Chameau wellies I hit a small stream only to get a wet foot, contacted customer service for a replacement only to be told that I had to return and for them to be tested before taking any action, this was me asking for a replacement not a refund after just days of receiving, it’s winter, I need a pair of wellies for daily use, so had to buy another pair from another brand just so I can send their faulty ones back. Order from Amazon or anywhere else the return policy is more trusting and dont automatically assume the customer is either lying or stupid! I don’t recommend.”

“I have bought several items of footwear from Chameau and have been absolutely thrilled with them all. One which was for my daughter who was over the moon with them. Unfortunately she still borrows mine as she doesn't want to get hers dirty...Well done Chameau.”

“Really don't like this basket. My son lay across the side one time and is now a totally mess. Looks like a squashed pancake. Would have to but at this price it would be of a quality to hold its shape longer.”

“Having had a pair of unisex neoprene-lined vibram soled le Chameau previously I find the Vierzonord a bit narrow in the foot. Otherwise very happy with my purchase. Let's hope they last as long as the first pair ( 5 years with very regular use)”

“Love the brand unfortunatly had a couple of issuses with two pairs of wellington boots this year as the fit seems to have change and they have become a lot narrower on the calf compared to other bought in the past.”

“The product description suggests the wellies are made in France. But when they arrived it transpired they are made in Marocco. Which, was a bit disappointing. Other than this the product is as described and pictured.”

“Sadly have to say I brought some boots which leaked . They didn’t feel the quality of my previous boots which lasted 2 years. I sent them back leaving me with no boots at all while they were tested . Eventually sending me another pair of boots out but took about 2 weeks . The next pair so far seem to be ok . The quality is much better . I’m not sure I will be buying these again . £200 is a lot of money to pay for wellies”
