About Le Chameau:

Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“The rubber spray for my Le Chamaeu wellies seems to be good & once iv'e washed my wellies Dried them & then sprayed them with my rubber spray they come up beautifully i would recommend this product”

“So. I bought some wellies to replace a failing old pair (that were 7 years old) and the new ones had a problem. The thumb loop - to pull them on - snapped. Having googled, I read a few posts online about some bad experiences with Chameau’s customer service, so I left a poor review about how they had broken and I couldn’t be bothered to get them repaired. Then, I got a call from their customer services department who sorted a return for me and I now have a fully functioning pair back. I now feel it’s only fair to update this as I have been impressed by their pro-activity and while I already love their wellies, my disappointment in the breakage has been placated by a speedy replacement. They shouldn’t have broken in the first place but I have been very impressed with the speed and effectiveness of the team at Chameau in sorting my replacement. The wellies themselves are great - I love the ‘tractor tread’!”
