Notice how now a few bans are lifted their web site comes to life offering great packages and Holidays for everyone. But let’s look how they have preformed throughout the lockdown to see the companies true colours. I give you my experience which looking at other review tells how the company regards its customers.I booked a full hotel and flights package for Myself, wife daughter boyfriend and granddaughter in Jan (total just under £10,000 ) for a holiday on the 1st of July and paid deposit remainder to be paid by DD on the 12th of June. Then came the virus, we were contacted by Ryanair beginning of May to inform us that the flights were cancelled, we tried every which way to contact Loveholidays but nothing in reply all contact info removed from their web site just referring us to our manage my bookings page .We contacted the hotel who informed us that they were closed and would not as of beginning of June not be reopening until the 10th of July( so no holiday) Still by the end of May Loveholidays were not cancelling holidays after the 30th of June. On the 12th of June they withdrew the remainder of the holiday money from my account on the 30th of June one day before we were set to travel they sent an email informing me that the holiday was cancelled and would I accept a credit note to rebook at a later date.Through Manage my booking page it gave me an option to request a refund which I chose as I clicked the button it came up that they would be in touch in 30 days to advise me on the next steps and at the same time issues a credit voucher to rebook over the next 12 months .They say this gives them time to collect monies from resorts and airlines I have been in contact with both parties and none have taken any money from Loveholidays for my booking I am so angry that basically they have stolen £10,000 of my money for a holiday they knew at the time was not going to take place. There is no one to contact and no law on the consumers side I know we have all gone through hard times of late but this has been wrong and them as a company just robbing of Peter to pay Paul I honestly hope they go under One day I will get my money back until then if this review can help change someone’s mind in using them it’s been worth it .Loads of holiday companies out there that have tried hard please look them up

At last some action from the government. The CMA has written an open letter to the travel companies they have had most complaints about - they haven't named them, but we all know who they are! It took me 4 months to get my money back but persistence and complaints to ABTA amongst other measures finally paid off, but i hope this latest action by the govt. means things improve rapidly for the rest of you awaiting refunds. Type in "CMA latest" and you will see "CMA open letter to package travel sector " dated yesterday. In a nutshell, if companies do not obey the law pronto enforcement action will be taken against them! Sort yourselves out Loveholidays!

I booked a holiday to NYC with my family for July. Love holidays didn't tell me whether or not to carry on installments or not. There was absolutely no correspondence of what to do. I then received a text message 3 days before I was due to fly to tell me that the holiday was still active and did I wish to cancel or go ahead? I texted them back saying is this some kind of joke as the borders are closed? Then I received a reply to say that they didn't take any other answer other than yes or no. I did not reply, I was not going to cancel my holiday and lose £4000. The day before my flight was due they finally sent an email to say the trip was cancelled. I could have told them this after seeing that Virgin were not flying until July 26th (don't know how they came up with such a random date, when borders are still closed). The email sent me encouraged me to take the vouchers and an additional £100 worth of vouchers. Not a chance!! I think the person who said class action is correct. We should all stand together and take class action. I doubt I will see my money for months if I am lucky. The email also only offered the vouchers for the accommodation, not for the flights, blaming it on the airlines and saying if I want to speed things up I should reach out to the airline, who have already told me its Loveholidays responsibility. This company will go under, there is no doubt about that. They haven't been responsible, they have taken money/installments when they really shouldn't have. This isn't monopoly money love holidays, its not yours, its people's hard earned cash!

I have had to take legal action after all other avenues failed , they even seem to be ignoring the court judgement to repay my money i have to wait 30 days then the Bailiffs will be instructed . Never touch LOVEHOLIDAYS with the proverbial bargepole . Would not be surprised if they go under very soon !

I understand it’s been challenging for them during covid 19, however we have just found out our package holiday has been cancelled 7 days before we were due to leave. Before this confirmation we had not heard back from them in 3 months. Awful communication, thousands of others have had similar circumstances. Awful service, don’t book from them. Dicks

I am currently in Tenerife. On arrival no shuttle transfer available, office was closed cost me 100 euro in a cab. Get to the hotel to find it closed and I'm being moved. I paid for a 3 pool multi bar resort. I'm in a hotel that looks like it got the wood for it's furniture on the cheap from Noah. 24hr line is a joke, terrible service and half the time the outside area is full so stuck in my room. Absolute joke of a company. I honestly think a class action lawsuit is needed by those us in deplorable situations. Either way I am taking legal action.

Ryanair have notified me 3 weeks ago that Loveholidays have received my flight refund. Loveholidays have not returned my money or answered my messages. I believe this to be a serious breach in trust and I will take legal action against the company if not resolved immediately.

I don't know where to begin. Due to fly in under 2 weeks and found out myself that our hotel is closed and that they'd told Operators a fair time ago. Meanwhile I'm being asked to pay my balance!!! I have tried for 2 weeks on every possible website/email/contact - nothing!! There is no excuse for not having been told that our hotel won't open again this year and no alternative offered - no idea what to do - very very stressful and also whether we have to pay in full in order to somehow get the money back. We will never never use this company again!

This company is a joke or a scam ,my holiday should of been on 26/05/20 it was for my son's wedding, love holidays sent me emails not to worry about anything and that they would contact me 7 days before flight if it was cancelled due to covid 19 ,unfortunately this was the case ,but not heard anything in any form from them and left me and my wife in worring about our money ,we are waiting to re book as my son has a new date for wedding ,it's just impossible to get in touch with them they wasting peoples time with a phone number that's dead and a chat on line that does not exist (it's been saying it's busy now for over 1 month ......SCAM) I'm now seeking legal advise and compensation for my time wasted and the nessacery stress enough is enough .a terrible way to treat customers I feel for anyone that's having the same stress full time

Appalling customer service no loyalty to customers whatsoever. We booked a package then later found out hotel was closed loveholidays didn't even have the manners to tell us this they would have had us travel with no accommodation so they'd have left us homeless for a week or further out of pocket which they have done to other customers

I have heard via email from my hotel that it is closed. We are due to travel on the 18th July and still have had no communication except for an email on the 3rd stating holiday is due to go ahead. Tried to cancel but this excludes the flights but as we booked as a package surely it should be all of it. Don't want to go to a different hotel. Tried the live chat but it is impossible to get on. Don't know what to do next do I just wait for them to contact me judging by past reviews it be a long wait.

Im not usually the type to get irate when things are out of my control but THIS experience with Loveholidays has been the ultimate NO. Not even a partial refund. Not even a sorry. Not even an acknowledgement. Not one person has responded to my queries. I have so far received two automated emails which were less than enlightening. Phone lines - don't get answered. Live chat - you're better off talking to a corpse for reassurance. Even the airline has finally refunded the cost of my flights but Loveholidays have STILL NOT RETURNED IT TO ME. Don't bother booking with this company unless you absolutely revel in anxiety and unnecessary stress.

We booked through love holidays last year so booked again for this September to celebrate my 60th Birthday and renewal of wedding vows. Well aware of pandemic but thought they would be in touch if any problems. 2 weeks ago Jet2 cancelled our flight, They since refunded our prebooked seats and we were sent a full breakdown of info sent to love holidays. Not a word from love holidays. You can’t ring them, use live chat, email or post a message on website, post will not be answered as offices are closed. It is obvious the holiday can’t go ahead without flight but we are at a loss where to go next. Our wedding vows have been arranged, dogs booked etc, do we cancel???? Go onto “manage my booking”, no joy there. There is a message that reads and I quote from their site “ We are prioritising customers according to travel dates proximity. Due to unprecedented number of requests it may take a bit longer to get in touch than we would like. However don’t worry we will be contacting you. If we don’t get to speak to you BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE DATE don’t be concerned, this will not impact your ability to access your options to amend your travel dates, receive a refund, credit note or request cash refund. Is this a JOKE? They should be in touch with us way before the date we are due to go on our holiday. What about overnight hotel bookings before flight, airport car parking, dog kennels. It’s not a simple matter of changing dates. I find the lack of customer service disgusting. We booked with Bluesea Holidays in June. They were all working from home, but we were contacted, given several options and given a refund within 4 weeks directly into our bank account. LOVE HOLIDAYS absolutely appalling service. If one company can do it why can’t you. You need to look after your customers. They are your bread and butter. Will NEVER BOOK WITH YOU AGAIN unless your customer service greatly improves. You are going to lose a lot of customers.
