“I am absolutely appalled by the way Loveholidays has handled my situation. I have contacted Loveholidays repeatedly to explain my serious concerns about travelling while the situation in the Middle East is extremely volatile. Despite the ongoing uncertainty and the very real possibility of disruption, flight changes, airspace issues, delays, or safety concerns, Loveholidays has refused to offer any meaningful help because the FCDO has not currently put formal restrictions in place. This rigid and uncaring approach is unacceptable. A lack of FCDO restriction does not mean families are not at risk of being caught up in serious disruption or frightening circumstances. It also does not mean customers’ genuine concerns should be dismissed. What makes this even worse is that I am travelling with children who have additional needs. I explained again and again that my children need advance preparation, routine, and stability. Sudden changes, uncertainty, airport disruption, delays, or last-minute cancellations would be extremely distressing and difficult for them to cope with. I made it clear that I need time in advance to make alternative arrangements, not be forced to wait until the situation becomes worse. Instead of showing understanding or compassion, Loveholidays kept repeating the same response: they cannot help unless there is an FCDO restriction. They refused to cancel without charges and showed no flexibility or consideration for a family with vulnerable children. I feel completely let down. Loveholidays appears more concerned with enforcing cancellation fees than supporting customers facing genuine safety concerns and exceptional family circumstances. This has caused my family significant stress and anxiety at an already worrying time. Based on this experience, I would be very cautious about booking with Loveholidays again. Their lack of empathy, flexibility, and customer care has been shocking.”
