I am not due to book in until the 31st of August, I am now worried there will be a problem.

Still a bit of a hike to the terminal. Entry, exit & ticketing was quick & efficient although entry signage/layout could be better, it would be quite easy to end up in drop-off zone by mistake. Major gripe - car park surface - it's pretty poor! It needs them to reinvest some of that substantial parking revenue into completely resurfacing the short stay car park. I gather mid-stay is equally rubble strewn too!

Unfortunately the machine asked us for an excess fee of £147 when we were there over an hour before our collection deadline.

Over all my experience was OK - however when arriving in the car park there was not a lot of parking spaces - the ones remaining were in unmarked bays - which meant people had parked badly and the few available spaces were VERY tight - or redundant. After driving around the carpark several times, I had to squeeze into a tiny space next to a car (which was parked at an angle), fold down my wing mirrors and climb out of the passengers side...which was not ideal so early in the morning (and being pregnant - and not as slim) and it meant we had to rush for the plane.

Long stay carpark was still fairly expensive (£78 for a week in May). On the plus side there was only a short wait for a bus both to and from departures so it didn't take long. I prebooked and had a brief moment of panic when I put my ticket at the exit barrier and was told I owed £158! There was, however, a quick and polite response when I pressed the button, and the gate was opened after I gave my booking reference number. So make sure you have your booking reference on you! Oh - and DON'T lose your ticket. If you do, they will charge the max rate.

Whilst this Mid-stay car park was convenient, and the bus service prompt, the state of the roadways, directional markings, lane signs is very poor indeed, and urgently in need of significant refurbishment, considering the charges levied there.

Close to terminal, easy to book and quick exit. However poor road surface and lack of signposting towards vacant spaces mean only a 3 star rating.

Easy to follow instructions about entry and exit when we pre-booked. All went smoothly as we entered but we were disappointed at the quality of the car park surface and lack of road or space markings. Having used other airport parking this was not up to the same standards. Even Inverness was better and much more remote! Yes, less used but in view of the passenger numbers and income from parking, surely drivers deserve better than a rough surface in the short term parking area. Smooth exit procedure meant a fairly speedy escape.

Easy to find and good bus service. At peak times a little difficult to squeeze on if you have children and a buggy. Could do with tarmacking the car park

My car was not recognised and on return after 8 days I was presented with a screen bill of £171 despite having pre-booked and paid in advance. Luckily the call assistance button worked after 30 seconds, and after giving my code the barrier was opened by the assistant. However, there was only one exit working and the queue behind me of cars waiting was beginning to build up. The technology should be slicker than that.

Was annoyed as I pre-paid for the service but I was still issued a ticket to gain access, luckily when leaving I managed to get a member off staff to raise the gate even though the machine expected me to pay again. And I arrived and left in the alloted time. overall I was disappointed with the service but happy with the problem solving.

When entering my card to exit, I was informed that I still had to pay £76 to be able to leave the car park (I had prepaid). I pressed the call button, which kept on ringing out and I had to wait 5-10 minutes at the exit barrier until someone answered to let me out. After a long flight and forthcoming drive home, this was not ideal at 10.30pm!

Generally i am very pleased with the Mid term car parking at Luton airport. I use this car park every week, when i travel home on a friday. The bus drivers are freindly and helpful. It's a shame that the spaces aren't marked. This can often lead to people parking across 2 spaces and during busy times it can be very difficult to find a space. This process took me 35 minutes once. Also, pedestrian access to the car park would be helpful

What can you say about a car park, There was a space (plenty) I left, returned and car was where I left it! handy for the airport but not cheap, but I suppose a captive market. Will use again when I fly from London City again.
