The mid-term carpark was not in great condition and parts looked like an abandoned building site. Payment was confusing. I had booked and payed in advance. On arrival I could only gain entry by taking a ticket which then asked for a further payment on exit. On the up side, when I spoke to someone on the barrier intercom I was allowed to exit without making the additional payment.

Easy to find and lots of parking spaces available The shuttle bus service was very quick Only issue was the road works, hence a diversion to get back onto the M1 on return

Yet again the car number plate recognition did not work. Don't plan on a quick getaway from this parking.

We were slightly behind time arriving for our flight so the pre-booking and number plate recognition meant that we got into the short stay car park near the terminal with no fuss or delay and there were plenty of spaces signposted. On our return there had been a significant delay with the flight, so we were leaving 20 minutes after my anticipated latest departure time. It was very pleasing that we were able to exit without incurring further charges. The staff in the car park were also very helpful.

Car park was rather unorganised with no specific bays and struggled to find a space. When exerting the car park, registration was unrecognised so although I prepaid, took about 15 mins to get out of the barrier at 1am as no response to the "help" button.

I booked on line the Short Stay car park as it was near to the terminal, however this car park is also used as a drop off and collection car park which means it is very busy at all times. Finding a space was a nightmare, and there were cars that had literally being abandoned in spots that were not designated for parking. One such car had been parked in a position that obstructed the free flow of traffic around the car park which was causing chaos. The offending car was still abandoned in the same position when I returned the following day from my trip. On reflection I would have preferred to park in the medium stay car park and taken the short bus ride to the terminal.

We booked into the short stay car park at Luton Airport for a 2 day trip and very nearly missed our flight as it took us over half an hour to find a car park space. There seems to be no mechanism of determining when the car park is full, nor for ensuring that there are sufficient spaces for those that have pre-bought. I won't be using Luton Short Term Car Park again.

Prepaid ticket was of no use at all. We had to queue to leave the car park late at night as EVERYONE was having to call the help line to have the barrier raised. Not a good experience. Not much choice of an alternative though.

the bus stop shelter leaks like a sieve when its raining, not protected enough. I think I got wetter standing in it than if I was under an umbrella outside!!

The parking experience was very poor due to the state of the road/car park... also there werea lot of pools. It is quite tricky to identify the exit, and the path to go out/iin of the car park by walk when you need to go to the terminal. The price was OK for a small airport like Luton but i was expecting better conditions for these price. It was almost like leave the car in the middle of a field full of stones, puddles...

Its the bus system that is just not fit for purpose, you need to put on more buses and not cram us in like rush hour on a friday night tube train. I am 32 but making a lot of the more elderly customers stand up is shameful. Put on more buses and make it an actually bearable experience. I would not book again.

Had to wait a long time to get out following problems with barriers. On bus should be made clearer what section we are stopping at.

Toilets were very unclean. Quite good restaurants etc once you go through security but it's so unclear when you arrive that you end up staying in the entrance to grab food. Needs better signing and updating the website of the facilities. Otherwise good experience.

COMPLAINT Booking reference JNN51 Short-Term Last-Minute Flexi-Saver. LB60 DDJ 1. I found that the entrance to the short-term car park was not clearly marked and I went the wrong way. Particularly If you are travelling alone, signs which are clear and visible are important. 2. The surface of the car park seemed uneven. 3. I was dismayed to be charged an extra £74 for extra time. I had pre-booked on-line for the period Friday 17th April 0900 until Saturday 18th April 21.00 for the sum of £40.99. This seemed a fair rate. I arrived at Luton Airport earlier than planned on the 17th April as the road conditions were much better than I thought they would be and I entered the car park at 07.17. On my return, the flight had been delayed so I did not exit the car park (via exit 2) until 22.09. I was shocked that I was charged a further £74 for the extra time (receipt 049410) and there was no employee available either in the airport terminal or the car park to discuss this with although I tried to find someone. I was not aware that the extra time would cost so much and this should have been noted more prominently in the booking conditions. I would be very reluctant to ever park at Luton Airport again and I was disappointed with the experience. To pay £114.99 for two days parking is simply too much. Carol J Hughes-Hallett 06/05/15

Very close to departures, easy to get in, the surface of the car park is a disgrace and the cameras never read my numberplate properly so its a pain to get out when pre-booked.
