“Ordered some super chunky yarn and delivery was reasonably quick within 2 working days by Royal Mail second class. Yarn was super cheap and good quality for the price. Really easy to knit with with no knots. There were a few splits and frays but nothing major. The colour of the yarn was nowhere near the photo on the website. I ordered yarn in 'storm blue' which shows a grey undertone on the website but is more a navy blue in real life. Saying the reason for this is variations in screens is just a poor excuse. Come on, we don't live in the 90s and looking at other reviews I'm not the first one to mention this.”

“The quality, the range and the prices are excellent. The part that lets you down is the delivery. My last order (57230) was ordered on Sunday 2 April and you e-mailed me on Monday 3 April to say that it had been despatched. No tracking details whatsoever were given, so I waited in all day Tuesday, then all day Wednesday and the parcel finally arrived on Thursday 6 April at 1.20 pm. On the parcel label it confirmed that the carrier collected on Monday at 12.33 so for the parcel to take over three days to be delivered in this day and age is very disappointing. It would help if some tracking details were provided.”

“i've only used the dk yarn so far, and i like it, only using it for knitted toys but great for that, not used the 4ply yet so can't really comment. was abit surprised as to how long the delivery took though, nearly 1 week.”

“Price - good; yarn - very good; service - quick, but why oh why, cannot Marriner yarns be bothered to get someone on the phone who can spell an address in Wales. She got it very wrong although I spelled it out for her. You are in the Welsh capital city, do the country and the people the courtesy of at least teaching your staff how to pronounce and spell names. If you need someone to come in and teach them I can direct you to such a person - who also lives in Cardiff. It should take your staff roughly an hour at the most - it's not a difficult language to pronounce. I am not a Welsh speaker, but I do try to be polite enough to get the correct pronounciation for names of people and -places - you would earn an excellent from me were you to do the same.”

“I have had yarn from Marriner before and have always been pleased with the service and quality and value for money. However, I ordered some chunky acrylic yard in October 2016 and realised when nearing the end of the garment that I had not ordered enough. As I wanted more yarn for my next project I ordered one 100 gm ball of the chunky acrylic plus my further order. However, when the order arrived I noticed that the Dye No. was different from that I had in October. Normally this would not make a huge difference to the eye but in this case the colour was so different that I could not use it. I rang Marriner to see if any of the October Dye No. was available and was told, 'I'll have a look in the oddments box.' Then told that there was none. Not very helpful at all. I was disappointed that such a big difference in colour could occur, but more disappointed in the 'couldn't be bothered' attitude. It will not stop me from ordering again but in future I will make sure I order enough yarn!”

“Website easy to navigate when browsing products. As a new customer easy to register customer details, place order and pay for items ordered Great choice of yarn with plenty colour availability also other knitting accessories and patterns to purchase and download without waiting for pattern to be delivered. Order purchased in morning so as advertised same day dispatch if order placed before 2pm. I was pleased with free delivery as my order over £25. I was disappointed as delivery took 6 working days to arrive. Order arrived complete at home adress. Have used some yarn already and I am pleasantly surprised with quality. Yarn was good value for money. Would recommend but please give option for faster delivery service Thankyou”

“The yarn is great value. I usually buy for a church group who knit for charities so it is easy to spend the £25 and get free postage. I would normally rate 5 for very good. Sadly my last order was partly for some wool for an individual who was finishing a sweater in Aran Moorland. The wool that we received is completely different from previous orders. The flecks are now bright colours rather than the muted tones one would expect fro the Moorland shade. She has agreed to keep the wool but still has the challenge of how th make the front of the man's jumper she is working on.”

“Delivery was quick and there was a good choice of colours. I ordered the baby double knit because I knit a lot of knitting of dolls clothes for charity. The yarn was soft and knitted up well.”
