“Very impressed. Firstly, the service received was excellent & speedy. Secondly, the trimmers are brilliant. Cut through the hair on my old timer Scottie, George like a hot knife through butter. The full clip took far less time than it has to date with other cheaper trimmers. I definitely recommend them & Masterclip.”

“Great scissors! I have tried them a few times to trim my Tibetan Terrier's coat and they are sharp and easy to use. I've had trouble finding scissors good enough to do the job in the past, but these are really good. I especially like the rounded ends which make them much safer to use. I took the inserts out of the finger holes to make them more comfortable, which was easy to do.”

“Turn on/off switch is in a bad place, I’m constantly turning it off by accident and they get hot too quick”

“My dog has a double coat and one of them is like wire wool! Over the years, we have spent a small fortune on cheaper clippers. Some never worked, some worked for a short while. These masterclip clippers were eye-opening. Yes, they cost more than 3X the most expensive alternative; but they run and run and go through my dog's awkward fur like a hot knife through butter! An hour long job (if it worked at all) now takes 10 minutes. Yes! JUST TEN! You need strong hands to change the blades, but that is the ONLY downside. I wish I had known about these before I tried all the rest! It would have saved a small fortune to have spent the money on these in the first place. My bin is shortly to be filled with all the rest of the clippers! Masterclip is all we need.”

“I have a very wooly cockapoo and I've had many different clippers, that just haven't made any effect on her coat. I ordered a pair of Masterclip plus a set of guards and they were delivered the next day. Fantastic customer service! For the first time my clippers have gone through her coat like a hot knife through butter. I love that the guards also don't let the heat pass through to my dog. One very satisfied customer!!! “I am very pleased with my clippers as they are easy to use and no trailing cable which is dangerous if you have an active pony or horse that is nervous. The blades have lasted some time and I have just had them sharpened but haven't used them yet but intend to soon.”

“I checked out the reviews for these clippers before placing an order both the make came up the best clippers and the individual reviews were very good. After placing my order they arrived the very next day. I needed them for my shetland pony who hasn't shed all his winter coat, they worked perfectly. Would defininitely recommend.”

With the correct tension on the clippers and using the andis 5 in 1 coolant spray every 4 to 5 minutes on the blades they usually perform very well. “First time using the Masterclip Animal Clippers on my small dog Shitzu cross 5/7/25. Wasn’t the best experience unfortunately and the worst haircut I’ve given my poor little lad. No proper instructions or diagram on best adjustments and the print in the booklet is tiny. I have clipped all my dogs myself for many years 3 of which were miniature schnauzers so I am very experienced although an amateur and i would say the blades are too fierce. No way could I clip my dogs smooth medium coat without using a comb even on the longest cut. The plastic comb I used 3mm on shortest cut setting and high speed did cut through but the finish looks choppy. The comb didn’t fit properly to start with being new. However even fitted properly it hasn’t left a good finished look. Used the clippers on longest cut setting without the comb for the ears and i had to be extremely careful not to take chunks of hair off his delicate petal shaped ears. My dogs hair grows quite quickly so will try again in about 3 weeks time now I’ve had time to use it for first time see if any improvement Disappointing though, as I was looking forward to using my new clippers having spent almost twice as much on them than my previous pair. They actually lasted longer than I ever thought they would and always made a super job of my dogs coat right from the word go. I always bought Wahl in the past.”

We understand how important it is to have proper instructions, and we'll certainly take your feedback into account to improve our user guides. Our Showmate II is a trimmer rather than a clipper and we recommend it for detailed trimming or tidying up around the pads, feet and back end for sanitary purposes. For body clipping on a Shih Tzu we recommend one of our A5 dog clippers. If you are not happy with your purchase please return it for a refund. Kind regards, Team Masterclip Animal Clippers
