“I bought 2 items of skirting and received confirmation they were custom made. One piece was acceptable the other had an “orange peel””

“Quick delivery, but annoyed at paying extra for the architrave to be ready primed, only for it to turn up with a terrible, lumpy, textured finish which stood out like a sore thumb when painted. (Paint was trialled on an off-cut to see if the primed finish could be masked). I would have requested a return and refund, only that the joiner had already cut multiple pieces and fixed up around two doors before I returned home. The joiner also said how bad the finish was, but worked with it regardless as he didn't want to charge me for wasted time!”

“Not impressed at all. I think your router bits need replacing as the finish was terrible and the cuts were all chipped. I payed for the skirting to be primed and it was obviously just painted with emulsion which was applied with a roller. Sorry but i will not be using you again.”

“My delivery was due at 7.30-9.30 but was dropped off at 4.45am and left outside my garage, baring in mind it’s MDF and was not covered up, luckily it was not raining as would have been ruined.”

“The item was not wrapped & had 2 bad cuts/marks on the board, the only protection on it was the small piece of cling film attaching a qr code at the end. I would not recommend this place.”

“I bought these before and they were very strong. I needed more to complete my room so I bought more and this time they were weak and two snapped in half which is now a waste of money as I can’t use them for the length I want. It’s a shame they decided to reduce the quality of their products”

“Some of the primed skirting wasnt primed very well, large scratches and lumpes of paint. had to be sanded and painted by our inhouse scenic decorator”

“Poorly finished particularly on cut edges. Sprayed primer coat had Orange Peel effect on faces and sporadic coating on edges. All had to be extensively sanded and re-primed before use so not only did I pay for the primer coat I had to remove and prime myself at additional cost and time. I should have rejected the order but wanted to progress my project. I won't be using Skirting World again”

“The delivery was quick, the price was similar to others but unfortunately the primed finished was stippled meaning that we had to sand back every length of skirting and we ordered a whole house worth…a real shame”

“The ordering and delivery were good, and the base material is fine. However, I was very disappointed with the primer, which appeared splatter-sprayed and was very difficult to sand flat. The poor quality of the primer negatively impacted the final paint finish. If I order again, I won't include priming, as it has affected the final look of the skirting and architrave.”

“I ordered a skirting with a double edge and one arrived with only one edge which meant I could do the window boards I had intended to . I phone to let the office know that I had been sent a wrong board and have heard nothing from them .”

“Pleased with the online ordering process, competitive pricing and the quality of the product but very unhappy with the delivery. As requested the driver rang to say he would be with me in a few minutes. I stood in my doorway to wait for him. I saw him approaching and about 50 meters away from where I was and without bothering to look for the address he turned and reversed into a parking bay and drove off. I had to call him and ask him to come back. I explained that my husband had taken our grandson to school, he said that’s okay it’s a kerb side delivery. He unloaded a pack of 4 x 4200mm lengths of Bullnose MDF skirting board, I asked if I would be able to lift it, his reply was “if you split the pack then maybe” but it might break. Being a 71 year old women suffering from sacroiliac joint dysfunction and arthritic hips, I didn’t think I had much chance of bending, lifting 13ft+ of skirting board and carrying it 20 meters to my front door.”

“The skirting arrived 5 days after ordering. The driver was very efficient and left the skirting outside without even knocking the door!!! Also, every piece of skirting was damaged around 150mm in, which had to be scraped. Order more than you need, to avoid being short!”

“We have been tempted by Skirting World website advertising that all their mdf is high density moisture resistant. When order arrived it didn't look like MR mdf. We could tell as items for the paneling (dado,skirting, beading) have been ordered unprimed. It was made of normal (grey) mdf that was on the lower side of quality.”

“Mfd skirting g was dumped outside with no attempt to ring bell. Despite fact we'd been up early to take receipt 6am. Just managed to get inside at 7.30 when we checked for delivery details. Skirting om but customer service awful.”

“I received my order of samples very promptly, it was well packaged and the samples of a sensible size. The only reason for the lower score is because two of the samples I ordered were missing.”

“Ordered 3 samples and only 2 turned up, emailed to notify and got a fast response refunded my money and said would get the other sample sent the next day, that was 5 days ago still no sight of sample, really would of liked to take a look at skirting cover as mine is oversized”
