The skirting arrived 5 days after ordering. The driver was very efficient and left the skirting outside without even knocking the door!!! Also, every piece of skirting was damaged around 150mm in, which had to be scraped. Order more than you need, to avoid being short!

We have been tempted by Skirting World website advertising that all their mdf is high density moisture resistant. When order arrived it didn't look like MR mdf. We could tell as items for the paneling (dado, skirting, beading) have been ordered unprimed. It was made of normal (grey) mdf that was on the lower side of quality.

Mfd skirting g was dumped outside with no attempt to ring bell. Despite fact we'd been up early to take receipt 6am. Just managed to get inside at 7.30 when we checked for delivery details. Skirting om but customer service awful.

I received my order of samples very promptly, it was well packaged and the samples of a sensible size. The only reason for the lower score is because two of the samples I ordered were missing.

Goods delivered to wrong address, driver nog interested in rectifying issue, despite offering a solution this was dismissed by driver. Had to rearrange tradesmen and take more time off work to receive order, two days after initial delivery date was agreed. Overall an extremely poor experience using Skirting World. Office staff were helpful when I called in with concern, driver, the face of Skirting World, was sadly not the greatest advert for your company.

Ordered from b&q, was actually disappointed it was from a 3rd party selling on their website.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We do take advantage of the B&Q marketplace and have many happy customers through this avenue. It is clearly stated on the product page that the order is fulfilled by Skirting World (and our brand name also appears in the product title). Your order was manufactured and delivered on the 3rd working day after placing your order and we have heard nothing from yourself regarding the quality of the product or service provided (so assume all to be as expected). We appreciate every review and look to take action to improve where possible. It's a real shame to read negative a review that appears to be purely based around us utilising more marketplaces online. 1st time I ordered, they sent the wrong skirting and also one missing piece. This was rectified but I had call my carpenter in for another day 2nd time I ordered, I told them I wouldn’t be at the house for the delivery and asked for this to be postponed. They delivered anyway and left this outside in the rain Actual skirting was ok

The Skirting arrived on time. But it was all loose and obviously being sliding about the couriers van which has resulted in scratches and chips all over 90% of the boards. On further expectation the primer on the boards is really poor and not been sprayed correctly. The boards also chip very easy even when I put a set square on it to they have been getting chipped too. So over all as a carpenter/ joiner I’d say they are very poor made for the cost and I don’t think I’d use any of the products again.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, Paul. We're sorry to hear about the issues you have pointed out. We cannot see any communication from you following the order and we would advise reaching out to our customer service team. We do not expect customers to make do with faulty goods and given the chance we will always try to rectify any issues. Skirting World

as the mdf is only primed on one side the wood curves like a banana once it gets inside the house. such a shame it isnt primed both sides

Order 9m of pine skirting but they wouldnt guarentee how many pieces it would come in. I had to take a risk ordering and luckily it did come in 3m lengths which was o.k. One of the lengths had a large hole all the way through and another was damaged at one end. Again, by luck, i did not need it all and managed to cut out the damaged bits. Overall not that impressed with the quality but did manage to do the job.

I've purchased items from skirtingworld before and been reasonably happy. This time round, not so much. The way items were packaged disguised a few dents and scuffs. I chose the 2-groove architrave and the lines are in the middle when they should be more one sided. Also, I'm not convinced this is moisture resistant, as a few specks of rain whilst moving to the workshop soaked up like a sponge so had to discard parts of boards. Overall its not bad, just not upto the standards I expected. I'm dredding the amount of time it will take me to sand down for painting. On the architrave too, on all 6 lengths, I had to cut off approx. 8 inches due to the grooves not being to full depth. I am also unable to upload a review with images to the website.

So the story goes that like many others I was looking for some specific skirting looks and Google has led me to Skirting World website. The looks were there, the price looked decent, so I went ahead and placed my order. I've ordered primed boards. Everywhere else, when I bought primed things, they were ready to paint. What has arrived (quite quickly to give credit) were primed (heavy splatter) boards with MDF fibres standing high. This was nowhere near ready to paint. When I have contacted Skirting World and expressed my dismay, I was asked for pictures and it was confirmed that the finish was not good enough but if I needed something ready to paint it should in fact been ordered as UNDERCOATED... They do have a page that describes the difference but the description is vague when it comes to making things clear. Just some pictures without long words would have made a ton of difference. To Skirting World credit, I was offered a replacement that would me made for me (free of charge) to the better grade (undercoated). The pictures I was sent seemed to imply that it would be just the thing that I was expecting in the first place. For me, the extra fee between primed and undercoated grade would have not made a lot of difference, as it would have saved me a lot of time and that costs money too. Very fast (4-5 days I think), I did get my new order which was finished better but it was still bad. Now TWO coats over the MDF with 2 sanding sessions, the product clearly was of poor quality. I could still see untreated grains of MDF through the finish and the finish was still of that heavy "orange peel" effect. So, despite Skirting World best effort, it seems that they are simply unable to produce a factory-quality product. The skirting still looked like the best effort of a first-time handyman painter. Now to the so-called moisture resistant HDF, which all boards are supposedly made of at Skirting World. I didn't find any green tint on those boards (may not necessarily a requirement but I came to expect seeing that with moisture resistant boards) and a couple of rain drops that got onto the boards on the day of the delivery have resulted in a noticeable fibre expansion and break out of the treated surface. Not even my local DIY shop's MDF does that without any treatment on it! Something dodgy about that moisture resistant HDF... So, overall I can see that Skirting World is getting their customer service attempts right but still not there by a long throw! In the end, it is the product that I want and I want it good quality. That last target is still off.

skirting is good quality, however product was delivered to the wrong house and left outside overnight. With heavy rain a lot of the board had swollen

The delivery driver dropped the parcel outside on the porch. He did not even ring me to say he’s done it. It was damage. The primer was all flaking. I will never buy with this company anymore…
