I bought a used Sigma 70-200mm for my Nikon, used and fully functional (or so I thaught). Once I received the lens, the first problem came up - AF wasn't working. After some research I found that the firmware had to be updated because the model was older. Ok, I sent the lwns to Sigma to update it for free. They informed me that the OS was loose inside the camera and to fix that would cost me 200€ more. How can you say that the lens is fully functional when the os is loose? I'm really disapppinted in mpb.

Shambles of a company, don't use them! They reviewed my kit and they reset all my settings, gave me a ridiculous quote and then didn't put my lens back together properly when returning it. Now i cannot use my lens and they wont take responsibility and fix it.

Scratched lens that they refuse to take back. Lens was labeled as like new, fraudulent marketing and horrible customer service. USE ANOTHER COMPANY!!

Shambolic service. The customer service team suggest they don't take calls yet they have contact numbers. On reviewing my camera kit they sent back an expensive lens broken and reset all my camera settings without any permission or suggestion I would sell them my kit. They will also undercut any initial quote they send you. Do not use this company

I purchased a Nikon D3x back in early 2021. I paid extra due to their claim it had low shutter count. I was getting an err code from the beginning and after research I was convinced it was camera/lens electrical contacts. I recently took the camera in for a check and a cleaning at Mikes Camera in Boulder, CO. I was informed that the camera was not repairable due to faulty a mirror. I had only taken, approx 250 exposures on the camera. I did not cause this problem I was sold a broken camera from Mpb. I contacted them and have not received any reply.

Just awful customer service. You'd think a company that deals with your expensive equipment would have better customer service. I would NOT recommend them.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. Previously, this company was very good and deserved a good reputation. My most recent experience with them has been a nightmare, to say the least. Absolutely horrible communication. Extremely slow processing time well beyond their stated timeframe. Customer service is essentially non-existent now. You can't get a person on the phone, the "we'll respond ASAP" or "within one business day" was a joke. I have tried every day to get someone to contact me to no avail and yet my gear is still sitting in their store somewhere. I fear that it's either damaged, lost, or something else. I would not in good conscience be able to ever refer a person to MPB.com due to their collapse in overall customer service. I fear that this review may just add to an already bad situation. If you want to trade or sell your gear in a reasonable amount of time, go somewhere else. MPB is not what it used to be.

Disgraceful Ordered a Nikon 16-35mm lens from the MPB website, they described as like new, and wasn't much cheaper than a brand new one, so I had very high expectations. When received I noticed the focus ring didn't have a very smooth action, and when gently shaking the lens I could her loose parts. BUT WORST OF ALL SCRATCH ON REAR LENS GLASS ELEMENT!! Got back in touch with MPB and expected a prompt refund, given their attempt at conning me. No I had to keep chasing for a refund, it wasn't until I threatened Credit Card Chargeback, did something happen. NO APOLOGIES NO SMALL GESTURE TO HELP COMPENSATE ME ....NOTHING!!! THIS COMPANY MPB SUCKS!!!

Not a great first impression. They received my item back nearly two weeks ago and it still has not been tested. I have chased them up to see what is happening and have been told I would hear something back on specific days and haven't. I thought I would try these guys due to good reviews but didn't realise how long it would take.. (my email two weeks ago confirming they received it said it would be tested within 3-5 days). Its a shame as I have many more items to sell.

I sent 2 cameras in to MPB to purchase. I didn't hear from them for 2 weeks after they got the cameras. I sent an email and they answered that they had sent a new quote (that I did not get) and I need to approve or decline. I said send the quote. They still have not sent it

wish I could give them 0 stars. I had bad experience selling my gear with Mpb. Their equipment review process is questionable and unethical..I got a quotation for Nikon D 5300 + Nikon 18-55 mm VR2 Lens for $260 + $57 = $317. On sending the equipment , they said lens was not working, so $57 will be deducted . This is agreeable. They further said they would deduct another$65 as they have not received charger + battery. Please note the quotation was specific to Nikon D 5300 body only.. I ended up getting only $195 for a Nikon D 5300 body in excellent condition.. I regret my decision to sell my gear with Mpb. Would not recommend anyone to use their services. The tendency is to low ball through shady review process and unethical practices. Beware of Mpb!

Traded a Nikon d750 and Nikon 20mm lens plus $400 for Olympus 100-400mm. The lens never arrived by Fed X. I reported that I didn't receive the lens they are refusing to return my emails. They are scoundrels. I feel robbed.

Overcharge on Credit Card, Numerous Emails & phone calls! Emails not answered! One phone call answered, was promised they would get back to me that day! They did not! Considering it’s only $18.02 there non-response cost them a customer and forced me file a complaint with my Credit Card Company. By the way it’s interesting that the phone # attached to credit card amount isn’t even MPB’s! Hmmm.... Customer service after the sale👎🏻

Customer service is basically non existent. I placed a big order with them using the free standard shipping method since the estimated arrival date was far before I’d need my order. Almost a week later my order hasn’t even been picked off the shelf so standard shipping won’t work for me, it happens I get it. So I’ve been trying to call to change my shipping method to expedited and pay the difference but no one answers the phone and when you leave a message no one calls you back. I got an email response saying the wharehouse already has my info and can’t change it yet my order still hasn’t been picked off the shelf

Sold my 5D MKiii along with other Canon kit back in November. Upon arrival with MBP they advised me that the camera had been damaged in transit and they needed to speak to DHL first. 2 months later after server chasing calls they finally agreed to pay the original quote. Great I thought but there was something missing! One of the items hadn't been priced by them and have been advised that it never arrived with them. What an armature bunch this lot are. Apparently they store everything in a warehouse until the items are paid for by them. I can only assume the item was stolen or misplaced and they don't have the decency to come clean. To sum up on this i'd never buy or sell to MPB again!

Never a problem until this transaction. Traded for a camera, they sent email to complete the sale on Tuesday morning. I paid promptly, within 30 minutes of receiving the email, which inlcuded 2-day FedEx so it would be here before the weekend. It did not ship tuesday OR wednesday. In an email with their "customer service" rep KARA wednesday evening, i was promised a refund of my shipping fees and told that it would be sent out thursday via overnight shipping - so that i would have it by the weekend. I needed it for an event on saturday evening. None of this happened and i never received replies to emails that i sent - after the original. It was actually sent on thursday but by express saver FedEx with scheduled delivery on tuesday of the next week. Slower and cheaper than i paid for and they promised. I was fed lies and emails ignored. They have really dropped the ball here and sacrificed my business event on the weekend. After this - i can not recommend MPB to friends and colleagues !!

Ive used mpb multiple times with a decent experience. I recently sent in my Nikon 70-200 for a trade and they said the autofocus motor was damaged even though I had used that lens daily so I know it was working fine. I asked what they meant by that and zero response. Ive emailed two more times and its been 6 days now with nothing. I would like my lens back and the 5 minutes it would take you to respond to my email and ship it back would be a lot better than having me sit for 6 days not getting back to me. THANKS MPB

So many issues with mpb, have happened over 5 weeks ago. Lens not delivered and wrong lens sent. Sent the incorrect lens back and have heard nothing but excuses to get my money back which is over £1000. Alot of money especially at christmas time. I have emailed over 30 times without a response. Been on live chat every day and noone responds. I get a email saying we will resolve this by 5pm and what a surprise nothing. I have now had to report this to the police and trading standards. Also opened a dispute with my bank. Its absolutely disgusting and the customer service is appauling. How do these people sleep at night!!!! Not something I want to be dealing with at Christmas time. I am now writing all over social media to try and get a response. A robbing company! DO NOT USE

Untrustworthy Charlatans. They are no better than a grubby back street pawn brokers run by a money hungry fagin MPB will buy an item and downgrade the item quality as good then resale the same item as excellent at a very inflated price. From performing some basic maths there average mark up is 44% on every item. Therefore to confirm for every item sold they have marked the price up by 44%!!!!!!

After receiving my gear and agreeing to a trade for one of their lens at a cost of just over $800 they informed me that that particular lens was inadvertently sold and the next lens of that type was priced at $1200. Not happy but I went and paid out an additional $400 for a better condition lens. Later the same night I notice the previous $800 lens is now listed for $939. They backed out of an agreement with me and used the bait and switch bs while also keeping the previously sold to me lens and raising the price by more than $100. Stay away, their being based where they are should say everything about how they do business.
