“There needs to be a more varied menu for the prepped meals. Remove the mushroom and cherry tomatoes. The latest Spanish brunch is a big disappointment, I currently have 10 melas a week but will be looking elsewhere should good new meals not be added.”

“Deliveried 1st package that got stolen as wasn't left at my house. Replacement package had missing items.they failed to email stating so. Gave me 5 pound voucher that I've to manually insert myself.”

“The ingredients aren?t very healthy (note: e-numbers, preservatives, sugars etc) if this was true muscle food it would be grass-fed and without any additional ingredients.”

“Last minute delivery change after we selected a day we were going to be in then to have it changed last minute mean parnter had to get day off work to accommodate your mistake lossing money we need will think twice about ordering again”

“Going to have to give it three stars only because every time I order prepped meals they come all over the place leaking, sometimes the lids are not closed properly and I have to clean all the boxes before putting them in the fridge or freezing them which means running them underwater and wiping them which takes a lot of time as I order 25 containers at a time. A simple fix could be filling the box with scrap cardboard or bubble wrap so that they don't move around a lot. Not sure if this is a delivery driver issue or a muscle food issue, either way it is annoying.”

“A bit disappointed with the quality of the steaks from Musclefood. I would have assumed that they understood that lean meat is what their customers are looking for. The rump steaks I received have loads of fat running through every piece. Not what it says on the tin at all”

“Delivery was good and chicken breasts were great. Other than that the size and quality of other cuts was laughable. They must have a laser cutter for their pork as you could roll cigarettes with them. Anyway, you get what you pay for and I can see the attraction if on a budget, but I will pay a bit more elsewhere.”

I’m sorry to hear you’re worried about the condition your meat has arrived in. Vacuum packing and gas flushing is used to help maintain the quality of the product over its shelf life. This may cause an initial smell when the package is opened. The vacuum packing process causes the removal of oxygen, which may result in the browning of red meat often towards the end of the stated shelf life. Opening the packaging and allowing the meat to air for 5-10 minutes will allow the smell to dissipate and allow the meat to re-oxygenate and return to its natural colour. I hope that this has helped to clarify the concern raised and put your mind at ease.

“Disappointed the pork steaks which I opened them the smell I threw them out not to keen on the diced chicken . I found the meat wasn’t very chilled needed to be a lot colder.”

“This used to be very high quality food , I am finding the quality not as good , I also thought meat was British to find my chicken from Romania so I will no longer be buying chicken from muscle food”

“Just received my first box of muscle food. It was the offer £39 pack and another with mixed meats for £1. What i have received is very dissappointing and i feel not very good value for money at all.. The portions of meat are very small. And apart from the chicken portions, will not go around a family of 4. I was looking forwards to making a batch of pasties with the diced beef, but what i received will just about fill 2 pasties. I will not be purchasing again i am afraid. For £39 i received chicken and a few pots of rice and a few other snall packs of meat meant for 1 person only i feel, really not worth the money. £46.00 with postage!!”

“Good quality meat . But pictures make it look like you get alot more then you do. Also the ready meals where so spicy you couldn't eat them so they all ended up in the bin..”
