I was offered £86 for my samsung s5. There was nothing wrong with it, it was always kept in a case with a screen protector. I then get told it is faulty and they will only offer £18 even tho there was nothing wrong with it. Not impressed.

I sent MM 2 mobiles on different occasions, the first was a Galaxy S5 they quoted me £75 on there website, after receiving it they offered £5.00 because they said the phone had been rooted, this was never the case I have had the phone from new and didn't even know what rooted meant untill I checked, the second phone I sent was a Galaxy S6 edge they quoted £175 this time the offer went down to £48 because they said there was a pixel fault to the screen. I could swallow a problem with 1 mobile but with 2 mobiles that had both been kept in cases with screen protectors and were in first class used condition, I can see how they can afford to collect and return your phones for free using DPD couriers Today the average price of the S6 edge on there website is £250 if I had sold mine for £48 there's a nice profit there, if only 50% of people except there reduced offers your looking at big bucks, so do yourself a favour and don't waste you time with Music Magpie you will probably get more on Ebay.

If I could I'd not award any stars at all! Having checked that my hubby had done the "Factory Reset" correctly, he carefully wrapped it in bubble wrap and put it in a box. He took it to the post office and got all the tracking details etc. It had a screen protector on it and there was nothing wrong with it when it left here; apparently according to MM, there was "liquid screen damage", so instead of the £50 offered originally, he was offered £5.30. (Where do they get there figures from?) We declined the offer and requested photos of this so called damage and we await the return of the So-called damaged phone with anticipation. If there's anything wrong with it, the s**t will hit the fan! And I will plaster their scams all over my social media!!

Similar experience. Quote £135 for phone which had always been kept in a folding case and with a tempered glass screen. Sent in to be told the screen was 'faded' and quoted £81. Will not use again.

well I was about to send in my phone but as there is more bad reviews than good I will not even attempt to waste my time as I know there is nothing wrong with my phone but I have delt with companies like this before and you should always read the reviews because people are not going to waste there time writing a bad review for no reason and when its majority theres clearly a problem going on here.

Sent Blackberry using their prepaid label and got post office tracking number. Various comms with .music magpie claim phone not received (tracking very clearly stated the date it was) then they claimed the tracking number belonged to something else i had posted and then they admitted it was delivered but is "missing". Even though it is somewhere on their premises I have to wait for the post office to pay out on the insurance. That'll never happen has it was delivered ok. Whata scam

Quoted £160 for a Samsung s6+ 64gb in really good condition and then offered £90 as they classed the phone as in poor condition. The phone was immaculate with a brand new screen. Shocking company...do not use.

Absolute rip off merchants do not use ever. Made offer price of £175 for IPhone 6 gold 16GB i waited in all day for the collection for me to be told i had missed the collection. I then rearranged collection for another time. Collection was made. 2 days later i get emailed telling me the phone is not as described battery is faulty offer price £66.04 a loss of £108.96 where on earth do these people get off ripping customers off. how on earth can a battery cost that much. Even if it did have a faulty battery which i was not aware of and i sent it into Apple would only cost £50.00 and i have also contacted a couple of phone shops who have all told me to stay away from music magpie, as the name goes magpies by name magpies by nature. They should be investigated by watchdog. Rip off Rip off Rip off never ever again. I have requested my phone back and really hope the phone is still in the same condition i sent it in.

Please dont use MM to sell your mobile phone. I have been selling phones for a long time now but decided to give MM a go as their offer was the best. Mobile was factory reset and fully charged and tested and packaged in original manufactures box along with original booklets. 2 days in offer was reduced from £130 to £13 advising there was a fault, no further information supplied as to what. I sit here in anticipation for returned mobile and wish I read the reviews before wasting my time.

Absolutely terrible, do NOT use music magpie! Wish I'd read reviews before I used them, I normally research before I ise a company and now I know why! Sent 15 items off all amounting to around £200 and they have told me that five of my items are faulty. They were not faulty when I sent them and funnily enough it's the items that were worth the most. They are now offering me around £60 for everything, I'm beyond angry. So now do I accept the offer or decline and receive my items back in a different state I sent them and not be able to sell them anywhere else? Either way I feel like I lose! Absolutely disgusting!

Similarly to a lot of reviewers I was offered a high price for my iPhone. Only to be told that this price would be reduced by almost £100 because of 'bent casing'. I know for a fact that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the phone as it has been protected by a case and screen protector since the day it was bought! Have declined their offer, here's hoping it will return in the condition I sent it. Do not touch with a barge pole!

iPhone 6 quoted £200 online. Reduced to £90 due to "lifted screen". I literally used my phone all the way up to the day it collected and it was perfect. I simply upgraded. Declined their scummy offer, got the phone back. Low and behold- the keyboard isn't working properly! I can't even sign into my iCloud now. Taking it to be looked at but it's suspected the digitiser had been left not completely connected to give the impression the phone id faulty, Such a scam. Let this be a warning to everyone- they are working a scam here big time.

MusicMagpie did not fulfill any of their service claims. The collection did not show up on the day. They had my phone for 2 days without paying me. When they eventually emailed me they gave me a tiny revised offer well below their so called "guaranteed price". They made up a nonsense claim about my pristine premium phone in its unmarked box with all of the original accessories. Then they sent me a sly email saying if I did not decline their rip off offer for my perfect premium phone within only 2 hours they would do their deal anyway. If I had not have checked my email within the 2 hours and declined they would have gone ahead and mugged me off. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive, and we apologise for the issues faced with the third party courier service. Having looked into your order, I can see that your item was received after 2pm on 26/7 meaning your order would be processed the next working day. This was the case, and your order was processed by our warehouse on 27/7. Upon testing, it was discovered that your item had screen burn which is listed as a fault on our website. Because of this, your item was revised from good condition to faulty condition, with a change in price to reflect this. Please note there is a time frame of four days to reply to a revised offer as was previously stated in our terms and conditions. This gives customers ample opportunity to make a decision on the revision - as you chose to decline the revised offer, the item was returned to you, free of charge. Kind regards, mM CS

I tried to sell a 2012 Mac Pro to them as it was easier than selling via Ebay etc. They offered £300. The Mac was in perfect condition when it left me and I had photos to back this up. Music Magpie claimed it was damaged on arrival and gave me an offer of £60. I have sent them the photos to prove it was undamaged but they have just informed me that they are sticking to their £60 offer as the pictures apparently don't show the correct angle. I am still arguing this with them as the damage is fairly substantial and you would be able to see it from almost any angle. Only sold to them as I thought it would be a stress free and quick process. Would not even bother trying them again! Having now read other reviews I'm not the only person to have had this issue.
