Wrote this review this morning on Trustpilot and they blocked it trying to cover themselves. I have now lost all confidence in them as a company. I wanted to sell my Windows 8 laptop and received what I thought was a good quote from them, packaged and sent my laptop. I received a "revised" quote back from quality assessment saying they had found the laptop didn't have windows 8?! It was fully reset and checked (I work in IT) before I sent it off. The revised quote was about 10% of the original quote and I rejected instantly. What a waste of time this was. Don't bother wasting your time with this company.

I would give big minus if possible. My 12 year old son collected all DVD's what we had with my permission as he wanted save money to go for school trip. The final value was little bit over £80. The boxes was collected etc. Then in few days we received email the items hasn't arrived yet. We need send items or othewise everything will be cancelled. I get in touch with MusicMagpie. They said items has been lost within delivery company not with them. They will open case and get back within 5 working days. It's been a month and still didn't heard nothing. Just disgusting!!!

Absolutely nothing wrong with my phone, sent it to them and they declined saying it had screen burn. Completely wrong and fraudulent.

sent a faulty iPhone 5s 32gb Gold (bought refurbished from musicMagpie via amazon in 2015) but I put it in an older iPhone box (for a broken iPhone 5s 16gb Silver which I had sold to Mazuma). They do say any box will suffice but don't believe them! I am pretty certain that they used the IMEI on the box to do a checkmend report instead of the iPhone that was sent, which showed a block. I asked them to run the IMEI report again using the iPhone I sent and not the box. They came up with another report (not apologising for previous mistake or explaining anything) and sent a report id no and saying that there is still a block that I need to have removed. When I checked the new report no, there is no red flag mentioned on the report at all but weirdly the report is also dated for May 2015 when we are in May 2017. When I queried this, I was sent another auto email repeating their previous email. Checkmend are themselves rubbish communicators - the people receiving the emails (i assume people are replying but not sure) is also sloppy, robotic and irrelevant to the query. For £25, the irritation this is causing doesn't seem wroth it. They say they will recycle responsibly if the issues are not resolved. I hope that this is at least what happens and they are not just going to be rubbish in doing that at least. I had a flawless experience with Mazuma and would recommend them heartily - they will also send you the packaging. I most certainly DO NOT recommend musicMagpie. Suspiciously, musicMagpie appears to query negative reviewes on trustpilot where I just published this review. Trustpilot are actually taking them down and asking customers to send evidence to back up experience. I have done this but anyway - do beware!

Sent in a perfectly good iPHONE 5S offered £75.00, had an email that said it had chip on the screen (which it didn't when it left me), revised offer to £70, I declined. The phone was returned today and a chip has miraculously appeared, make of that what you will.

Disappointing service - and product! I received the iPhone 6 promptly and it was in excellent cosmetic condition. But after 2 weeks' use it had a software crash and was unusable. Their response to my request for a return envelope was slow and I had to call them. On receiving the phone back they sent me an email to say they had no replacement and were refunding me - no personal contact as to whether I might like an alternative. I have bought a refurbished phone with another company now.

I had a similar experience to Trevor (few comments down) Samsung S6 Edge quoted £180 - but then some how it had 'screen burn' even though the phone was in perfect condition when it was sent to them! Will not be using them again - don't waste your time with this company.

I sent a large order to musicMagpie that included 2 Xbox 360s, a Wii, a PS2, and numerous games and DVD's. I took great care in ensuring that all barcodes were entered correctly and my items were promptly valued at £107, a price with which I was satisfied. I then arranged a date for a courier to collect my items and I ensured that I was home during the arranged date. Unfortunately, however, I was not provided the promised details of an 'hourly slot' for collection and no courier arrived, meaning I had waited at home between 8 am and 6 pm for nothing. On top of the inconvenience of then having to reschedule another day for a courier to arrive, while the majority of items were paid for as promised, musicMagpie only paid £78.45 of the total price, citing 'incorrect barcodes' on the two most valuable games. As these will not be returned despite no evidence of the barcodes being incorrect, it is hard not to feel that musicMagpie endeavour to find supposed faults with orders to avoid paying their full value. This paired with the courier fiasco resulted in a very disappointing experience. Having had musicmagpie attempt to block this review on trustpilot, it is clear that they carefully doctor their profile on the site as searches on other review sites reveal largely negative feedback.

I ordered a refurbished iPhone 6, which broke within 2 days. After a slow response from customer service, i had a replacement within 10 days (after sending many tweets and emails to try and speed things up). The replacement arrived poorly packaged and broken, as it would not charge or connect to a computer.

I ordered an Xbox360 from them and registered my details with them and paid by Paypal,so they "should" have had my Full address, but after tracking the delivery, I am told by the post office"ws cannot deliver your parcel ,because your address is incomplete" so it was returned to Music maggpie. After contacting them and making sure they had my Full address , they then send the Xbox out again WITHOUT a power supply unit, what's the point of an Xbox without power. I will never use these people again.

appalling customer service. Sent a 6S which they say is still locked to icloud. I've removed it from my icloud but they say I haven't! They now say they won't return my phone but will 'recycle' it! In other words, throw it away! Taking further advice DO NOT USE!!

I sent a perfectly working galaxy note edge to Magpie, following a £170 offer. A couple of days later I received a revised offer of £16 and the explanation that my phone had screen burn. I declined the offer and they returned my phone. The phone had been taken apart, as the security seal was missing, and screen was completely covered with screen burn. I was using the phone up until the day I sold it and would have noticed any screen damage. I am very careful with my phone's and this was in immaculate condition. I feel like MM have scammed me, especially considering their trust pilot scores are so high!

Sent a near perfect iPhone 6 that they offered £150 for and they've emailed back to say it's not as described and that the charging port is defective (which I know is not true) and revised the amount to £120 needless to say I've declined it.

Two electronic items they said weren't as listed . One I listed as faulty , they said it had a cracked screen , yes I know that that's why I listed it as faulty !! 2nd came the Paperwhite Kindle , they then came back and said this also wasn't as listed , the Kindle hadn't been used by anybody and was a replacement from Amazon . The price dropped from £39 to £12 . I declined both offers. I then noticed that 1 of the books that I sold they had reduced to £0 . When I questioned them on this item as it was a hard back excellent quality item they said the book had an incorrect bar code and have refused to return but never offered a different amount . I have approached them and Advised that the barcode I entered brings the name of the book up automatically which was surprisingly the same as the one on the book that I sent they quoted that they don't return media . I feel they are in breach of contract as they haven't even offered a different amount , they have kept the book and just not paid for it ! Basically , disgusting customer service and I think they down value your items as they think you will just say yes . Would I recommend them? Absolutely Not ! - complete RUBBISH !!

Sent a perfectly good and fully boxed Iphone 5 to music magie for £50 offer. On reciept they claimed it was locked to EE which is just a total lie as it was bought new from apple store and has had a 3 card in it since then and offered £30. Needless to say I rejected the offer. Not to be trusted

DO NOT USE MUSICMAGPIE: I only gave musicmagpie 1 star because there is not an option for no stars. This site is a con, they offer you better prices than others for your mobile to entice you in. I sent a S6 Edge in perfect condition as they offered £200, I also sent in the same package an S4 which they valued at £50. I then received an email saying the S6 was defective (screen burn) and they offered a revised price of £50, it was not defective. They also stated the camera did not work on the S4 which is untrue because it did and they offered me £8. The next bit is the con as they then tell you you have until 2pm the same day to reject the revised offer or they will go ahead and process the order. I received their first email at 10am so that gave me 4hrs. Luckily I was off work that day so could access my emails quickly. I rejected both offers so they had to return my phones, as I new there was no screen burn on the S6 and the camera worked perfectly on the S4. I can not advise you enough not to use them. I sent both phones to Mazuma and received £180.
