Attempted to sell approx. 30 DVDs and an iPhone 5c to MusicMagpie, using their free courier service. In short, waited in all day for the courier on the agreed day but he failed to turn up. Tried emailing them to ask what happened, but it took them 4 days to respond. Requested a new date for the courier as suggested by them, but never received any confirmation from them. A week later I receive another email suggesting I arrange yet another date. To be honest I've now given up, if this is any indication to the level of service they provide, it will be safer and easier to go elsewhere!

Have never used them before but thought I'd give it a go selling some of my old games. I sent my order via their own courier to ensure it arrived quickly. Took over a week for them to acknowledge they had received it. When they finally did they confirmed my cheque was on the way. Have just received cheque and they've sent me a completely different and lower amount. Appears they are just another one of those many scam companies who quote you one thing and pay out something entirely different. Avoid at all costs.

Was offered £152 for my iPhone 6, sent it to them and tracked the service, they were a day late in responding to me and only responded because I chased after I'd seen it had been delivered. They then told me my screen was cracked and they'd only give me £53 for it, I had this returned and the phone was in perfect condition as I had sent it! Waste of time and terrible communication throughout!

I decided to sell my old unlocked iPhone 5 through MusicMagpie. I was initially offered £80.10 via their website. When they received my phone, they reduced the offer to £25.15 with the claim that "Reason: Screen - green frame around LCD more than 1 cm". The reason changed when I called them to "the screen colours have faded. Neither of these claims are true as it was a phone used solely used for testing websites I designed for work (total use of ~50 hours). I have since decided to keep the phone for work purposes. It still does, and always has worked perfectly. This seems to be a common tactic used to maximise profits. I'd strongly recommend avoid selling any electrical devices to MusicMagpie. Order Number: 3750734

I sent my HTC One M8 in full working condition for the quote of £55. Received an email saying that it was not in the condition specified as the sim tray was missing and that £5 was the new offer. I rang to address this and the customer service was terrible and they were rude. They told me that they were not willing to replace my sim tray or increase the price so I declined. My HTC One M8 has now been returned and is in a worse condition than it was sent and its value has been effected. Disgusting service.

Sent 2 iPhones a 5 and a 6 plus both met their criteria of good condition. Upon receipt of the phone we were contacted to say the iPhone 5 had a faulty screen and the 6 plus had a faulty battery. These had both been in full time use until 3 days before they were sent to music magpie. The original offer for the 6 plus was £249.10 with supposed battery fault £45!! Less than a smashed one functional one?? The iPhone 5 was £70.10 reduced to £15. In total offer over £250 less than expected. Cancelled the transaction and phones are being shipped back. Avoid music magpie at all costs they are rip off merchants!

I bought an imac duo on ebay trough MusicMagpie back on October 30th 2015, they sold me a faulty desktop. The computer lasted exactly a year and then they told me after 12 in a half months that I was out of warranty but still could send my mac on Dec 2016. I send it computer and packed as they asked me to do it back in Dec, now they say is out of warranty. The Manager Mrs Dakota made final decision now in January after Mr Tom had told me to send my mac eventhough it was out of warranty, his stuff sent me label to send computer back. The service is bad I been most january dealing with this, now they got my money and computer!!! also I been calling and they have erased me from their system so they can not find my purchase etc, making this more difficult because they decided to not deal with bad item. Ebay is now aware of this scam...Dont buy from them, is a scam, my mac was taken from a music library center and was opened several times. They re sale faulty items to only last 13 months...

WARNING DO NOT SELL YOUR MOBILE TO MUSIC MAGPIE In the past I have used Mazuma to sell my old mobile phones after an upgrade (I would recommend them). This time I made the mistake of using Music Magpie because they were offering more money. I send my phone then check my email after having a few days off work and find an email telling me they had automatically accepted a revised offer of £8 for my mobile phone which they had previously offered £70. Apparently you only have 4 days to refuse their revised offers inclusive of weekends. I believe this is very unfair. I immediately the same day of the autoacceptance emailed them to explain I had only just seen their revised offer and strongly disagreed with it because my phone was in immaculate condition and asked them to return my phone to me or offer a fair amount only to receive point blank refusal. I feel cheated.

Courier didn't turn up to collect first tablet and didn't bother for the second time. Second tablet again didn't collect had to take it to drop off point. Tablet 1 claimed to have booting problems (even though I reset it and courier didn't collect) Original offer £35 reduced to £3.50 Tablet 2 claimed the camera wasn't working and after chatting on facebook said the tablet couldn't play video! Original offer £35 reduced to £3.50 Refused both offers and got it back, both tablets working perfectly fine apart from the low powered one that needed just a charge. Both cameras are working and tablet playing videos. This company is full of BS and is trying to con you to accept a low price so they can profit off you. DON'T USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME! VERY DISHONEST COMPANY!!!

Sent a mobile in good condition and now they are saying cracked screen and deducted 40% off initial offer. I will be disputing this strongly but the fact they have done this is despicable and I would warn you to stay clear.

My partner recently purchased a new phone so was looking to sell on his old one. He found out how much he would get for the old one from music magpie and sent it on to them. The amount suggested at the time was over £300. He received an email a few days later stating that due to a fault with the battery they would only offer £35. He declined that offer and once home we tested the phone and it was fully charged and stayed charged for days. He contacted music magpie to let them know that he couldn't find anything wrong with the battery and they told him they would get back to him. A month later and they still haven't. Clearly music magpie have some 'special' machine to test your battery just so they don't have to give you the full amount! Awful service and wouldn't ever use again!

One star? Only because you could not leave zero. They offered me a reasonable price but what is the point of that if they then arrange to come pick up, give you an unreasonable 12 hour pick up slot and then fail to pick the phone up? They even emailed me the day before and had the cheek to remind me to be in! Time wasters.

Music Magpie offer a price on there site but do not expect to get it. Once the phone was delivered (3 days after being sent) they claimed it had damage and offered only half. The phone met every standard they requested and was in good shape fully working with no damage at all. After this I checked online and while they claim to have great feedback I cant help but see hundreds if not thousands of people in the same boat as me. It seems that once they have your goods they know you would take a lower price just to save the hassle. This is not how a business should operate. Total scam
