Awful awful service. Company full of liars and empty promises. Lazy couriers who don't bother to deliver the parcel and then make up a fantasy stories to cover up their laziness. Unbelievable!

Yet again this cowboy outfit pretend to deliver parcels. “14.26 delivery attempt made, don’t worry we’ll pretend to deliver your parcel again when we see fit” Utter joke!!! I’ve been in the garden all morning and not once has anyone been near me from Hermes!!! So unless your employing blind invisible drivers stop the lies and actually do your jobs!!! Deliver the parcels that people pay you to do!!! Or better yet, close down as a business then we’ll maybe get great customer service from you! Impossible to contact on the phone, website is useless and live chat doesn’t work!!! Ridiculous!!!

Watched the courier walk passed my home, heard him open the porch door, then walk away. Opened my front door to retrieve the parcel only to find a card saying, Sorry I Missed You !!! He never rang the bell or knocked the door. This is a regular occurrence and it’s disgraceful. Hermes, can you employ honest, reliable, trustworthy staff please?

Yesterday spent all day 11-4 waiting for a parcel. Sitting quietly, no radio, no tv and not hearing impaired to get a message saying they had tried to deliver but had been unsuccessful. They would have been successful if they had come to the door and rung the doorbell. No card was left. There is no recompense for the customer or penalty for the driver for this. They just get away with it. Wasting time, altering lives for their convenience.

I have just received an email saying the package has been delivered. When I clicked on the link for details, it posted a photo of my package left outside the building next to the bins. Where is the logic in that!? Someone could easily mistake it as rubbish or someone could steal the package. If I come home tonight and find the package is missing I will be extremely annoyed.

Every time I find out that Hermes are the courier going to be used to deliver a package I'm expecting I cringe. They are the ONLY logistics company that cannot deliver efficiently. Whether I'm in or not I always manage to receive parcels via any other courier including Royal Mail and ParcelForce - and I order a lot especially recently because I'm renovating the house. I have had so many traumatic experiences with Hermes deliveries that I don't have enough space here to recount them all. However the latest: received a card at the weekend to say Hermes attempted delivery. Ok so tried to enter the calling card number through myhermes.co.uk portal as instructed on the card to arrange alternative pickup/safe place or any other alternative and the number is not recognised by the tracking tool. Received another today - again the number is not recognised in the tracking tool and there is no number I can find to contact them - but it doesn't matter anyway because the card says they have returned it to sender. I don't know why sellers use Hermes...

I received a message saying my parcel had been delivered and that I myself had signed for it.. However at the time it was signed for i was over 100 mile away from my home address. Tried to phone hermes to find out that there is no possible way to phone and speak to a person. Tried live chat to just be told that they will look in to it but the system shows that the driver WAS in my area when the item was delivered and they will rise the issue with the relevant department. None of this helps my get the item I have already paid for, refused to answer when I asked if its normal for drivers to sign for customers items themself.. As far as i'm concerned by signing MY name the driver has committed fraud

Disappointed on non-delivery :( I paid for next day delivery and the whole idea was to get my parcel today, but instead seen on their website after tracking - 'trying to deliver your parcel, but you weren't in'. I was in, and nobody came in nor called me, that looks like a lie and poor service to me. Spend some time trying to talk to live person there - no luck. Shame on you, Hermes.

What went wrong? Everything went wrong. I ordered a click and collect from Boohoo, which Hermes delivers. It was next day delivery. I get an update saying that Hermes cannot deliver to that click and collect address and to contact them so that I can have the parcel delivered back to me. These geniuses did not leave any clear contact address so I contacted Boohoo for a refund. Boohoo asked me to forward my address to them so they can pass it on to Hermes. I did that and I get a text message saying that Hermes will attempt delivery between 9am-11am. I get a text message saying that Hermes has delivered my parcel to some random address I have never heard. It's not even a house that's on my road. In fact there isn't even a house on the address they claim to have delivered to! This company is a joke. Don't ever use Hermes because 10 out of 10 they will lose your parcel. Just pay the extra for Royal Mail.

Shocking poor service, I phoned to request parcel be left in a specified secure place, this was agreed. I also left a note on my door directed to the courier. I now find on the tracking site they say tried to deliver three times but unsuccessful so parcel is being returned. Hermes lie - they haven't clearly even bothered to try to deliver. Avoid this company at all cost

The worst courier company I have ever used. The latest package I sent was a robust item that is designed to take a few knocks. Their 'courier' managed to smash to pieces, the only way this could have happened I am sure is that the item was thrown with force. It was insured and they will not pay out. I will avoid using this company like I would avoid a plague.

So, as Myhermes and Hermesuk are the same company, I’m leaving this review on both sites. If as a retailer you choose Myhermes as your delivery agent, it doesn’t matter if your dispatch is timely if their drivers don’t deliver. DO NOT EMAIL “TRIED TO DELIVER BUT YOU WERE NOT AT HOME” WE WERE AT HOME AS YOU WELL KNOW. Yes I am shouting, you not only show yourselves to be unreliable and unable to honour your contract, but you bring the company employing you to fulfill their orders into disrepute. I will not use that company, which is LOOKFANTASTIC again, not because of their failing, because I know they dispatched to you in a timely manner - but because the delivery agents they use are unreliable.

We have had parcels used to jam open doors damaging contents. On complaining courier said she does that all the time and it's fine - it isn't and contents had to be returned. Other times deliveries weren't made. Rearranged delivery via call centre and it wasn't made, asked to speak to manager but instead driver called back and shouted at me. Now try to avoid companies that use My Hermes as don't trust items to arrive safely and scared of delivery driver.

Company is full of liars and just pretend to deliver your parcel without even trying. Can't trust half of the reviews on here, they even have a Facebook group with over 10,000 members highlight the companies shocking behaviors!

The issue that I experienced was: I needed to carrier a television I had sold on eBay to the purchaser in Cardiff and chose to use Hermes. I went to the Hermes web site so that I could book and pay on line. I competed the necessary details, address, parcel contents and value required to send the parcel. The item description was selected from a drop down menu, I selected television. I next entered the content value as £280 and was then informed that cover for damage in transit was up to a maximum of £25 only; however there was an option to pay extra, approx £16.50, for additional insurance which would provide cover up to a value of £280. I chose to pay the additional fee for full cover so therefore assumed that as you had taken payment you had entered in to a contract and had accepted liability for damage and I was covered up to £280. The transaction was now complete I saw no reason, nor was I advised to check wether televisions are claimable items. The item was damaged in transit and I now discover that televisions are non claimable items so I paid extra when it was not covered anyway! I have had several correspondences with a Hermes but their decision is that I cannot claim so I would like your help with this issue. In my opinion this would not have occurred if any non claimable items did not appear in the parcel content drop down, I would have used a different carrier. The fact that I was offered extra insurance which turned out to be worthless is surely a case of mis selling?
