Hermes seem to be the worse courier service to use. I am now waiting nearly 4 weeks for a parcel to be delivered and you can not speak to anyone on the phone. Sent an email to customer services but still no response back!!

If there is a worse courier company any where in the world, I'd be fascinated to hear about it. Standard practice appears to be to 'deliver' your package somewhere, get an indistinguishable 'signature' with no name associated with it, send you an e-mail 'confirming' delivery but then when queried as to where your package actually is, have no clue. then try contacting customer service and see how far you get. Have fun. This has happened more than once.

delivery driver couldn't find address 2 days in a row - apparently finding it difficult to tell the difference between 80 & 82... When he phoned he was already elsewhere and wouldn't come back even though we had waited in for him. Hermes tracking no good as the 'contact tel number' was posted into the wrong door (twice!)

I received an email from myhermes saying my parcel would be with me between 4 and 8pm. I waited in for it. At 7.55pm I received an email saying the parcel had been put through my letterbox at 6.40pm. It had not. I emailed myhermes. They replied next day to say it had been delivered - with a photo of what was supposed to be my front door and telling me my complaint had been closed. The photo was not my front door! Same door number as mine but this door was black and mine is white. It has definitely been delivered to the wrong place. Now I have to go through the complaints procedure again. If they can't get my parcel back from wherever they delivered it - then what? I am not happy, terrible service and to actually speak to someone at myhermes to complain I would have to pay for the call!

Awful experience with Hermes !! they’re a shocking delivery company. My item was never collected, I did contact them directly and was told that the pick-up driver didn't have access to the garage as it was locked. The garage door is NEVER LOCKED, then was told he tried again the next day but no one home. We were home the whole day and def not come to the house. chocking appalling company AVOID !!!!!!"

Feeling really sad about using Hermes last week. My daughter sold her razor trike in order to raise funds so she could raise some money so she could afford to go abroad on her summer activities next year something we couldn't manage this year. She got £125 for it on ebay for it sent it via Hermes and the parcel has now been lost, we have had to refund the buyer so no trike and no money for it. Not insured because that was about £12.50 and we didn't charge anything for delivery to the seller. Take it I will only be able to claim £20 compensation, have been on live chat twice for a claim form and on both occasions the link emailed to me to claim isn't working (using chrome), at a loss as to what I can do next. Dreadful service won't use ever again!

Extremely rude staff who don't care about the parcels they deliver or where they deliver them to. If possible avoid!

Following on from previous comments, although I don't know why we bother as you would have thought Hermes would be posting their thoughts on all the bad reviews. My parcel never reached me. My concern is what happens to all these apparent lost parcels, I wonder if Amazon got mine back because otherwise they may think I was trying it on, to try and get freebies.

Awful experience with Hermes !! they’re a shocking delivery company . My item was delivered to the wrong house they posted a picture of someone else’s letterbox , I tried to contact them directly was charged £6 for a phone call and I didn’t even get through to anyone !! I left a voicemail . Nobody from Hermes have spoken to me , shocking appalling company !!!!!!

Utter garbage. No parcel was delivered. No attempt to deliver was ever made. Apparently there is a customer dispute at my address. Is the dispute that I NEVER get my parcels when Hermes is the designated courier? Most likely. I’m beyond fed up of this company. I thought this dispute was settled but it would seem my address is still blacklisted for some unknown reason. Even with the app, live chat and email Hermes’ customer services were a failure to help. Useless. 1 Star is generous.

update to my review yesterday- Parcel lost for 3 weeks no response to 3 emails and chat hard to find. then an annoyingly long q and a session with an automated assistant before finally getting thru to a chat advisor. chat disconnects and chat also does not send a copy of conversation to email.last chat they gave me a reference number and said id get a call back in 24hr then next chat told me that reference did not exists but a call back could be 24-48hrs. no way of knowing if this 4th chat will also be erased. useless customer service when something goes wrong UPDATE- tried chat again (5th time) after being sent a non working link to a claim form (yes they finally agreed it is lost) and the said it IS possible to get a call back withing 4 hrs. I had tried the link and could NOT get into the account despite resetting password 5 times .I suppose it depends how many swear words and CAPITALS you use as the last 2 chat people told me point blank there was NO way to get a call back. They also said there was no way to call any number but an hour ago the CEO office sent me an email and lo and behold in it is a direct phone to the CEOs office . 03445227190. They confirmed there are 'issues' with chat training, they also explained how you get to speak to real person (which chat said didn't exist) You locate their phone number 03303336556 (good luck on their website! ) and choose option 1 which says it is for tracking and then option 5 as 'sender' then option 3 for advisor. Wait on hold for 5 mins. The ceo office have now sent me a copy of claim form by email rather than link and also have said that they have put in for a compensation for my time and effort and their poor service. Be aware that if they do find the parcel within 14 day of claim being submitted they will deliver to buyer even if you have refunded them and then they will not compensate you for loss. impossible company. I have always avoided 3 rd parties but if you must use hermes , go 3rd party and allow them to sort the mess out for you.

They send me a e-mail saying they don't know what's happened to my parcel and still after 6 days they are still unable to get in touch with the courier or his manager. I sent an item over 10 days ago and have not still received my refund. This company is dodgy. I think they are stealing peoples items. AVOID at all costs. I will not give up until I get my money back even if I have to take them to court!

Very disappointing service by Hermes! I sent a parcel to Cardiff on 09/07/2019 and it was supposed to be deliver within 2-3 days but did't delivered my item within 5 days. Then contact their customer service and spoke to Sikander Hussain he took my 16 digit of parcel tracking number and told my item is been default from their system and could go to national hub. He took my all details including my email address and ensure me that I will receive an email within 24 hours regarding my item I said can't wait 24 hours he told this is their procedures then I said it's fine but I have to get positive news.He didn't apologies for missing my item. After 24 hours I did not receive any email from them then I have contacted them again then I spoke to different person and she was saying same thing that my delivery is not their system and she don't know anything about my previous call. Then she was taking information about item I gave her all the necessary information, after that she started harassing me why sending expensive phone without any insurance and I got shocked and I told her my phone already have insurance also Hermes doesn't cover more than £300. Again no apology and she was blaming her colleague for not doing his job properly. She was not giving me any exact solution for the incident instead was trying to give me lost form and £280 claim form. I denied her offer and I got mad because my phone was £1008 (had receipt with phone insurance) and she was playing with me. I have realized something is fishy may be they are trying to steal my item. After all this conversation I told her if they don't deliver my item by today then I will go to court against them for stealing my phone. Then she said wait at least another 24 hours but I refused and told her maximum tomorrow by mid day I can wait. Finally next day around 2 pm they delivered my item with different level of return address but my phone was fine. However their manager ensure me I will get compensation and they will refund delivery charge but unfortunately did't get anything. I will never command anyone to use Hermes I think they are dodgy.

Two days I've waited in. No Hermes. Just a message like the following: 15:55 - Tue 23 Jul Your friendly local courier couldn’t collect your parcel today, we're sorry about that. We'll try again on the next working day

Folded a vinyl record in half and forced it through the letterbox. I had to refund my buyer the item price and postage and yet Hermes tell me, after waiting nearly two months, that I cannot be reimbursed. I cannot trust them to deliver and worse than that - when things go wrong they do not take responsibility. Shocking service.
