A very poor company if anything goes wrong. They take weeks to resolve issues and expect you to get a signed declaration from the intended recipient (at your own cost and within 7 days!), if a parcel goes missing. Therefore, making the insurance worthless and non existent in the real world.

If I could give Hermes minus points, I would. Having previously had the incredibly rude courier who left all our gates open (with cows in the field) we now have the courier (probably the same person) who has magically disappeared our package, whilst sending tracking notification to say that it has been delivered safely to our shed. I know Hermes pay badly, and I sympathise, but that doesn't excuse the behaviour of the couriers (those that we've had anyway). I am now at the point of asking online retailers whether they use Hermes and if they do, writing to tell them why I won't be buying their products. The grief just isn't worth it.

P B: Thank you for your patience. P B: My scanning shows that this parcel was too large for our usual courier to deliver. Therefore, it has been re-allocated to a different courier with a much larger vehicle. Unfortunately, this means the delivery process may be delayed by a day or two because these couriers cover much larger areas. Once your online tracking shows ‘courier received’ or ‘out for delivery’, please allow an additional day from this date for delivery. t t: how can you not know the size when it as been sorted 3 times do you mean it will not fit in a car? t t: can I come to the depot and pick it up my self to save more waiting? P B: I understand your concern Trevor, however the courier might be using the small car for the delivery. So, it will be assigned to new courier with big van for the delivery. t t: that should have been done before I arranged to be in all day based on your tracking data it is not my fault you don't make sure all your drivers are suitably to do the job t t: can i pick it up? P B: Due to health and safety regulations we do not currently allow customers to drop-off or collect parcels from our depots. myHermes failed to deliver to an M1 postcode 3 times. I'm not sure what happened on the first occasion, the second time they tried to deliver to the wrong building and the third time they claimed that access was restricted. Upon further investigation the driver claimed he couldn't park. If I could upload a photo here I would, then you would be able to see how much of a lame excuse this is. When I tweeted I was fobbed off with the double yellow line excuse from my photo, and no response was given when I pointed out there are no markings on the kerb, which allows delivery drivers 10 minuets to deliver. I could give you an endless list of deliveries made by other couriers and supermarkets that seem to have no problem delivering. The fact of the matter is that myHermes delivery drivers make feeble excuses to avoid making deliveries and they are backed up by customer services on their on-line chat and Twitter. The end result is that you have to wait in all day for nothing and eventually have your parcels delivered by Royal Mail. Their ad line is "cheap parcel delivery and courier service" Cheap shoes I say

Absolutely disgusting customer service, can't speak to a real person just web chat and email. Had my locked front door forced open causing damage by one of their couriers and they seem to think it's acceptable. Avoid using this company!!!!

Very bad company, impossible to get hold of as they make you wait in a live chat queue for hours and have no actual people to talk to, and they didn't even let me know what the delivery timescale is for my item so i had to search within the website to find this information. not acceptable at all! admittedly they are cheep but not efficient and i would recommend going elsewhere.

I ordered around 3 clothing items from JD sports that I paid next day delivery for. I had ordered in advance of the cut off point for next day delivery, and expected it the next day. When it did not arrive, I called JD sports, who were very helpful and refunded he delivery charge, and they then advised me to call Hermes. I did this, only to get an awful automated answer, that told me to use the online web chat. I used this(after waiting nearly an hour), and explained that my package had not arrived, only to be told that I had to wait 24 hours for the tracking data to update. I tried to explain again, but got told the same answer. I then emailed, and got nothing back the to be told today that my clothes were coming between 2 and 6 when I needed them for 2:30 which was incredibly unhelpful. This is an unreliable company, with poor customer service.

If I could I wouldn't even give them one star. Absolutely the worse delivery service I had ever used. What ever you do don't use them. Waited in for 3 days due to there web chat told me my parcel was due the next day. Even had the cheek to say the driver has tried to deliver it and got no answer even though I or my partner were in. Complete bullcrap. Ended up having to get a refund back off the guy on ebay due to never receiving my parcel.

ordered collection of a parcel. Waited from 8am till 6.45 and messaged customer services. To then be told that the parcel was not ready for collection. It was ready, you driver just never turned up. Avoid at all costs. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I booked a collection and spent all day waiting for them, but they did not come. I chatted with them to askes about this, they said that it was unable to collect? Why? I was at home all day, dare not go out. They promised to come to collect in the following day but they did not come again. I chatted with them, they said I needed to wait for 24-48 hours while this parcel is really needed for my flight. Awful service. Never come back again.

Delivery never came. Don't listen to requests and don't help. Contact just ended the chat without helping. Awful service and I would pay extra not to use this service.

purposely broke my parcel after I packaged it carefully and wrote warning labels on, my package most of being thrown around and at least kicked or hit with a very heavy force, wont compensate or answer any questions, avoid cowboy employees
