Absolutely appalling service completed with lies by the driver and the online chat colleague. Firstly I get a text to say I wasn’t in when they tried despite not going out, then I text the driver and he said he missed the address and would not come back. Online chat first told me again I was out then changed their story to “there was an address dispute”. Not by me, I know where I live and gave the correct address details. I am told they will text the driver but the driver doesn’t have to come back and nobody will update me if the driver is coming back or not. Absolutely useless.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. I was getting a parcel delivered to my work place due 9th Feb,2 weeks after this due date I rang Hermes to enquire where my parcel was to be told it had been delivered 9th Feb at 5.50pm and they had my signature(not true) which they kept insisting. I told them I had CCTV proving there driver did not enter the building on this date. now 6 weeks & numerous phone calls later I have discovered that the delivery guy had given it to his girlfriend that works in a business next door where she put it in the boot of her car. Hermes only started to pay attention when I suggest getting the police involved they soon got bored and told me if it didn,'t turn up just to claim off the person I had bought package from!! Surly not suggesting I committe fraud?? They then passed my mobile number to the driver who got really abusive and angry, admitted to me he had the parcel all along and gave it to his girlfriend last week to put in her carboot. Tried to make complaints with Hermes only to be told "sometimes to save time the drivers sign customers packages" they are mainly self employed and sometimes give parcels out to 3rd parties for delivery if they need help!!! So basicly it's ok to willy nilly hand parcels to people not associated with this company!! And we are fine signing packages and then telling customers that they have obtained legal signatures.

The delivery driver called Octavian was 5*. I missed his delivery. I rang his mobile number on the card he left and he came back specially with my parcel right away. It was very much appreciated. Hermes have always been efficient but he was over and above. Thank you.

My experience is limited to one instance but that was enough for me: I ordered a car part out of Germany on eBay to be shipped to the Netherlands. It was basically parked in Munich from March 2nd to 12 to be 'sorted'. It then went to Friedewald to be sorted some more. We asked several times what the hold up was and were told it could easily take seven days to ship an item internationally. REALLY?? SEVEN DAYS?!?! That's ridiculous in this day and age. Here in the US, I get fedEx or UPS packages within maybe two days. Any longer just does not fly here. The only thing that would be even more insane would be it take longer than seven days -- WHICH IT HAS! It is now 3/15 and has still not left Germany. When I now ask, I'm told I have to ask the original shipper to start an inquiry. Hermes is a horrible shipper. They are polite when they reply but cares about that? I pay for service. Hermes' service is getting a package from A to B, at which they fail miserably. Don't use them. If you buy something from someone (vendors, eBay, etc), specify that it cannot be shipped by Hermes. You cannot afford to have your package stuck in their warehouse for 'sorting'. This is total BS! We desperately need this part so were forced to buy it elsewhere. Got it within a day. Job done.

This is the reply to a lot package. They know who lost, or stole it, and can ot get it BACK. WHY. WILL SOMEONE BE REPORTED? . I am sorry that you have received the parcel. An investigation has also been completed but we are unable to find the parcel. Unfortunately, as you are the recipient of this parcel and not the shipper, we cannot proceed further with the claims for contractual reasons. Please contact your shipper, our customer and ask them to contact us regarding the parcel. If you have any further queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I sent a parcel to USA full of Xmas presents. instead it was dumped on my doorstep in the pouring rain three weeks later, soaking wet. I had taken out insurance and made a claim. however before that I had to go out like a mad women to buy new presents and send them via post office at an exorbitant price just to ensure my family had some gifts on Xmas day The outer parcel was like Weetabix and they accepted the photos of that ( although they have NEVER explained why it was returned,) however Hermes insist on internal photos, I supplied them but how do you show damp and smelling presents. so that wasn't accepted. Hermes then insisted on invoices of said presents I don't have them, there were 8 presents bought over months. No one has ever attempted to speak to me and all I get is mail, asking the same questions over and over ( does anyone ever read your mail) They then decided not to pay out as one present was a cheap piece of jewellery. I agreed that could be deducted but what about the rest of the presents?, so they decided to back track and go back to no invoices or photos I have finally given up , which is what I suspect is a triumph for them. Don't ever use this company, they simply don't care

I made an order from superdry which was due to be delivered by hermes, they received my parcel on 3rd March 2019 and the tracking said it was due to be delivered on 4th March, the courier then marked it as access problems to the property and took the parcel back to the local depot, I then didn't hear anymore from them so I emailed them and was told they will do a sweep of the depot looking for the parcel and get back to me within 48 hours, when they got back to me I was told they couldn't find it and I need to contact my retailer. Personally I think it is no longer the retailers issue as hermes are the ones that had the parcel and lost it!!

TLDR Hermes decided to take my two parcels for a stroll and then return them to me without even attempting delivery. I have yet to receive my returned parcels after 2 months and they are refusing to open a claim to have my fully insured parcels refunded to me. Posted two parcels 2 months ago. I paid extra to cover the insurance for both parcels. After a month, none of the parcels had been delivered and one of the parcels had been showing as “out for delivery” for 10 days in a row. I wrote to customer services. I gave them the contact details of the recipients in case they needed help in finding the address. Customer services said that they would look into it and they would let me know within 2 days. They never contacted me back so I wrote to customer services again after a week and they still didn’t know what was happening. The recipients never received any notifications of attempted delivery nor they have ever been called so delivery was never actually attempted. Furthermore, they refused to open a claim for losing my parcel because the parcel was “being scanned” everyday and was showing as out for delivery everyday. This process of me writing to customer services, Hermes saying that they would contact me within 2 days (and never actually doing so) and me writing to them again went on for 3 weeks. Now one of the two parcels is showing as “being returned to the customer” while the other one was shown as “returning to customer a few days ago” and was updated to delivered yesterday. I don’t know what they mean by “delivered” since neither I nor the recipient have received my parcel. Hermes is still trying to postpone the date when I’ll be able to open a claim and they said that I have to wait 8 weeks for the parcels to be returned to me. Therefore, I waited 8 weeks for them to update the status to “returning to customer” (and I highly doubt I will ever see my parcels again) and apparently I will have to wait another 8 weeks for them to accept that the parcels are lost. After that, I will have to open a claim and wait for another 3-4 weeks to actually look at the claim. In total, it will be at least 5 months until I can actually try to get money back for my fully insured parcels (and I already have a feeling that they will make up more excuses to make me wait extra time and not pay me at all).

Awful service Awful service, AVOID AVOID AVOID I have had problems with this service every time I have used them. If I could give them no star, I would! Had their delivery guy walk away with my parcel after falsely claiming that he was waiting for me to open the door after he rang the intercom for 10 mins... Lie! In truth he rang my intercom, I answered and within a few seconds went downstairs only to find that he was no where to be seen! I called their call centre and the guy at the call centre sent the post man back who then started to shout at me and be aggressive on my door step whilst I did nothing to provoke him just wanted my item! I made a complain to Hermes who never came back to me, police was informed. Today I discovered that they have lost another one of my parcel. Will not be using the seller again until they stop using Hermes. Again I was at home yet no card was left and then suddenly after many days the item appeared to "be delivered" on their system! In the past on 2 occasions, the parcel was claimed as delivered by the Hermes postman, my signature was taken ( by my ghost) because I was at home on the days, no one knocked on the door or left a calling card. And my items were no where to be seen. Called Hermes, management was rude and kept directing me to the seller. For you call who don't believe me, message me I'll give you my tracking number of the current item they have lost! Shows delivered on the 9th/ march/19 and then shows its with the courier. Hermes classes it as "lost". Which translates to us in laymen terms "stolen by our own delivery men". This company employs aggressive thief's who'd shout and be verbally aggressive if you dare to get your parcel from them or simply petty thief's who would do a fake sign on your behalf and keep your items for you. Ps message for for my current tracking number. It's a brilliant proof to show you guys and expose this thief of a company. I will be contacting the press too! Kind regards S

I sent a large parcel containing a pair of shoes and two tops to a lady who had purchased them from me and she only received a top and the parcel had been tampered with. The parcel had been shoved through the letterbox according to my trusted buyer. Hermes took over two weeks to "investigative" my complaint and eventually told me that that the driver and field team confirmed that all was "in order" with the parcel on delivery. They then had the nerve to ask me to request a form to take this complaint further! Basically my word against theirs. Their customer complaints department is a joke, you get the same cut and pasted message from various people who ask you to repeat the complaint because they cannot be bothered to read the original message. NEVER use this company they are untrustworthy

Just the worst. I payed 6 £ to have a Sunday delivery, I stayed at home the entire day And no one came. The site told me that a delivery was attempted but as a lot of other people already wrote here, the reality is that no one came! I complained about this and they said that they will have another attempt the day after. No apologies from the customer services, just lies. The next day? Apparently they forgot to tell me that the delivery guy didn’t work on that day. So I never receive my parcel, I will never use this service or any other shop that use it again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Sent an item that was not excluded in their terms of exclusion for compensation but when claimed was told "they will not cover it because it contained glass" my item did not contain glass and on review of this got told "its an excluded item" Liars and are only after your money and once they have it they do not care about how its treated or even show empathy that the item is even damaged by them. I have now lost money because damaged it and i even paid for extra insurance! STICK TO THE ROYAL MAIL WHO ACTUALLY GET IT THERE IN ONE PIECE AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

Dishonest courier company. I received emails from Hermes claiming that delivery will be made yesterday and that they were running late from between 1 to 3pm delayed to 3 to 5pm. They never turned up until this morning at 9.30am but on their tracking system, it was recorded as delivered and signed yesterday at 3.25pm. Dishonest! Wouldn't use them if I had a choice.
