I purchased a king-size mattress on May 9th from National Mattress at their Woodbine location. The in-store experience was smooth—Henry was courteous, informative, and helpful. Since the king size wasn’t in stock, the mattress was delivered the very next morning, which I appreciated. However, the mattress delivered was smaller than the standard king size (should be 80x76"), measuring around 76–77" in length, including the stitched edges. I reported the issue the same day, but getting through to customer service was frustrating. After multiple calls with long wait times, I finally reached Henry again. I was asked to wait several hours for it to expand, but there was no noticeable change. I was then instructed to email a central address and send photos. I complied, only to be asked to resend the photos with a measuring tape, even though I had already confirmed my bed frame was a standard king size from a reputable Amazon seller (4.5 stars with 50k units sold, so no issue with bed measurements). I included pictures of the Amazon bed dimensions, clearly showing the mattress was significantly short of the edges—this was undeniable proof of the issue. At one point, I was told the mattress might have been placed incorrectly—horizontally instead of vertically. Of course, I checked and tried before complaining, but I did reposition the mattress, took pictures, and shared them as I told the measurements still showed it was undersized. The biggest frustration is the lack of urgency. The last email shared with them was 40 hours back with measurement pictures, followed by a reminder after 24 hours finally I heard back from them, and the answer I received is absolutely outrageous and unacceptable. They reached out to the manufacturers, and as per them, it can sometimes take up to a week for the mattress to expand. First, I was told it would take 4 hours, then 24 hours, and now it’s 7 days. So, it’s my duty to monitor the mattress, send more pictures, and that it might be fine in a few days—and if not, I can reach back out. It’s a vicious circle. It’s the 6th day days since I made the purchase, and I’ve received no resolution. No phone calls, no action taken to replace the mattress. This is especially disappointing because the mattress is for my elderly parents, who have spine issues, and National Mattress team is aware of this. This experience is a clear sign of sellers who are only interested in making the sale and couldn’t care less once the transaction is complete. A faulty product can be tolerated if the service is strong, but when both fail, you feel unheard and stuck. For such a high-price purchase like a mattress, I expected far better customer care, faster responses, and more responsibility. I hope this helps others make a more informed decision.

I drove down from Orangeville to Mississauga to pick up my boxspring, and was very disappointed when I got home and unwrapped it. There is damage to the one corner exposing the wood, the black fabric on the bottom all the way around isn’t even attached. Most of the staples just went through and it’s flapping, hanging on by a couple staples, one of the pieces of wood inside is broken, and one of the plastic corner pieces is broken as well. I don’t know whether you can bring me a new one free of charge (ideally before Wednesday as I'm moving and need a boxspring by then), or just refund this one and I’ll go elsewhere. My mind is blown at the quality of this boxspring.

Online store rejected order twice due to incorrect fraud alert, with no message that my order was canceled. Drove one hour the store, but credit card terminal was broken. Had to come back another time the next day.

Product ended up coming at 11 pm when it was initially set to come at 3 pm. I stayed home from work that day and had to stay up late to receive the order. When I called in the first guy said someone would call back they didn’t I had to call back and get head office to call me. The driver did bring it up to my apartment but still overall not a good experience.

I haven't received my mattress. The website indicated I would get delivery on the 23rd before I ordered and I would get confirmation within 24hrs... I received confirmation 4 days later, I had to call in twice.. it is now the 27th still no mattress... there is definitely something wrong with your website and details.

I have always wrote a very good review (this is the 3rd mattress I bought from here, 5th from the family) but this time my experience was frustrating. I bought a mattress at 2:17 pm, the sales roll out the mattress and load it in my car. Then we went home to unload the mattress however we noticed there was a hold in the mattress. So we drove back to the store and ask them for an exchange. The sales said we can't exchange at the store and had to reach out to customer service for a replacement. So we went back home and file for a request with customer service at 3:39 pm. It was only 1 hour and 20 mins between buying the mattress and asking for an exchange. I simply do not understand why I can't exchange then and had to do this whole process of reaching out to customer service for a replacement. It is very frustrating. I could have enjoyed the mattress then instead of waiting back and forth email exchanges for a replacement delivery.

I am really disappointed with the service. I must say that national matress customer support staff are useless. They don't even know their own policies. Peter better learn more about your policies. Requested a return/exchange on a product and I received an email stating it's not possible. Then another member of the customer team sent a review request 2 weeks after the exchange eligible date and acknowledged the issue but clearly stating that they won't do anything about it. Even though we clearly initiated the process within the eligibility period. I simply can't trust the service.

Customer care team guy named Arnold W was very rude. He didn't have etiquette how to handle the customers. He was least interested in answering the questions and didn't care less if you buy it or not.

BEWARE of purchasing a mattress in a box. They sell mattresses that have been condensed for longer than the manufacturer recommends resulting in a mattress that does not expand to full size. When asked to remedy the situation I'm told to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer says contact retailer. What a headache. I purchase a King Tuft & Needle Mint Hybrid and it has expanded to 76" in length, whereas, is should be 80". I am waiting to see if National Mattress will resolve this issue. Will update review as needed.

Purchased a Bed Frame... staff is friendly and knowledgeable . However with no tax bed frame should have been $176.00 and charged $cdn 200.00 which is not appreciated.. Taken advantage of the tax and raise up the price .. no honesty
