As others have noted, very bad customer service. I also received and was charged for a subscription box that was a surprise to me, and the back and forth with their customer service team was uncompassionate, unhelpful and unprofessional.

This company is a complete scam. They offer discounts and take your credit card information without informing you that you are being signed up for a subscription. When they charge you it is in USD even though the product is made 45 minutes from where I live. When I advised them of the error (being charged and subscribed without consent) they told me I had to sign up for an account in order to cancel (meaning that I never actually signed up for anything willingly). When asked to cancel repeatedly I was told I needed to sign up to do so. I was not willing to put my payment information at further risk as I had already been charged without consent. I was told by Shaylee that the company does not have a phone line (bizarre) and that they do not provide refunds. I was also ignored regarding my concern of never signing up. Third company is a scam. They also did this to a friend of mine who had the same experience. They do not make it clear that they are taking your payment information for further charges. They do not offer decent customer service. And clearly are not even legitimate enough to offer a phone line. I am in customer service. I am well aware that this this not reasonable. Never ever use them. Terrible company.

The customer service is horrible. They are unwilling to work with you to solve problems and are short over emails. Their customer service team is the worst I’ve ever contacted and will NEVER support their company or their sister companies again.

This is a company who operates in modes of predatory business practice. This company is a scam that will opt you in on a subscription, charge you unknowingly, run you in circles, and waste time and resources. Which is ironic for a company who operates on the premise that it offering products that are sustainable, zero waste and inherently good.

This is a scam. I was not told I was signing up for a subscription, nor was I sent the two emails they told me I had gotten before they charged me and shipped a second bundle. You literally don't even have an account (I had to sign up for an account before I could cancel my subscription) and somehow they think it's okay to charge you. I asked for a full refund, but was told I could only take my time to ship the product back with shipping at my expense for a refund. This was an easy fix but they refused to take responsibility for their error.

Be aware, that if you order anything here, they will make it a subscription without any notification and will charge you the full price the next month! I had to make an account to cancel the subscription.

I ordered several products in February and haven't received anything yet. I've emailed customer service several times, and each time I get a promise that my order will be shipped soon. These delivery times are complete fiction.

Misleading bordering dishonest- extremely difficult to cancel the hidden subscription. Shampoo and conditioner contain sulfates/ the kind of ingredients I wont be putting in my hair.

Order products 2.5 months ago and nothing. I’m promised a refund and no money. They say they will add to the order and ship immediately for my patience and nothing. This is ridiculous.

Their customer service is a complete joke. I had to repeatedly email them about the whereabouts of my package. Every time they just told me what I wanted to hear and essentially tried to sweep the situation under the rug. What makes it even worse is that I put my faith in them to get me a much, much needed essential during a pandemic - hand sanitizer. This at a time when it was obviously scarce to come by. They deserve zero stars and a kick in the ass.

I have been waiting almost 2 months for my shipment and still have not received anything. I even filled out the email form they sent me to help with questions, and I received no email or answer back. I have a tracking number, but it tells me nothing. You will never receive my business again no matter how much I love the product...if I ever receive it 😡

Absolute horrible company to deal with. I ordered products two months ago, and still have yet to receive anything. I have asked for a refund and I was told I would be issued double the product because a refund was not possible. I’ve been back and forth for over a week now and still haven’t heard or received anything from them.

Do not purchase from them. They lie and take your money. I’ve been waiting since 3-22 and contacted them Numerous times only to be told it’s lost, we will re-ship, sent me a bogus tracking number. I will be contacting my credit card company since they will not refund my purchase which they cannot fulfill. You should be ashamed Of your company right now new or old, taking advantage of people during a pandemic.

I also ordered hand sanitizer and soap March 26 and was charged with an order number and no follow up email. Numbers us emails later, apologies and the last one that maybe my address was wrong and it “was lost” and they’ll ship again—I’m figuring I’ve lost this money. I really thought Pela was a light company and wanted to support another grass roots green organization—makes me question whether Pela is ligit either. Can’t add a photo as I’ve received NOTHING!!

Ordered on March 30. Still no product or expected delivery date. As of April 30 I am being told to give them another week or so. This is not acceptable for the cost of this product.

DO NOT ORDER! Ordered 4/6. Inquired about order status since "shipping label" was created on 5/5. Also inquired about process for refund if order isn't received next week. AND inquired why they are still accepting orders when they can't even fulfill current orders. Got this response: "This is ____ from Habitat Botanicals, one of the care specialist and we would like to thank you for putting your concern into attention! I will be more than happy to attend to your needs! Upon checking your order is ready and is waiting to be picked up by our shipping partner for dispatch! Once done, give us 2 - 8 days for processing and 7 - 14 days for the actual delivery. We do our best to get your orders to you as fast AND as sustainably as possible! Please note, all shipping times are estimates only provided to us by our delivery partners. Shipping times are subject to many variables such as volume (think Christmas), weather (think snow or hurricanes) and human error (think mis-scans or lost packages) and we try our best to give you accurate times! As for your question: If items are not received by next week, how do I go about requesting a refund? I wish I would not be the one to break this news to you. We would not be able to process refunds for any order before April 15th as the company is now under a new management. As of the moment, we no longer have access to the previous company's accounts since they went bankrupt. If it was physically possible to refund you I assure you, it would already be done. I truly wish this wasn't the case so that I could fulfill your refund request. We are still accepting orders as we were told, "to stay open as an essential business, we needed to make hand sanitizer and antibacterial soaps." To continue to stay open and make sure customers are getting their orders as well as customer service support, we had to stop everything we were doing to accommodate this. So, we got right to work! We are projected to be caught up in 1-2 weeks. :) We're all hands on deck and sending out over 200 orders per day.Our solution to the problem was to immediately actively problem-solve to make sure this everyone is taken care of. We made sure all the items are in stock, then we hired several employees to help fulfill orders as fast as possible as we now have to keep up with COVID-19 related orders in order to stay open as well as our previously delayed orders due to our move to a new warehouse. We are all hands on deck!We are working very hard and keeping up with this in a way that allows us to stay open! Our customers' experience is very important to us. So basically, it will be ANOTHER month until I get my order...with no real accountability. I am a fan of Pela and received a recommendation from them for Habitat. I wanted to be supportive of their green initiative. I'm truly disappointed as I AM the "emergency personnel" they are referencing. Seems like a lot of lip service at this point. I have been patient, but come on...guess we'll see what happens...

I placed an order on March 17th 2020, and received shipping notifcation on March 30th. However, it was just as SCAM. They printed the shipping label, but did not ship anything and then blamed the shipper for falling to scan the package.

This company is a scam. I placed an order on March 8th. Just like the previous review - zip, zero, nada - except excuses. I should have known when they charged me as the order was placed rather than when it shipped that this company was bogus. DO NOT BUY FROM HABITAT BOTANICALS or NATURAL VEGAN. They are thieves.
