“the dress is different than the picture”

“I brought a dress from New York Dress for my daughter’s senior prom. The day of the prom after she put the dress on before her date even arrived to our home, the zipper splits and we can’t zip it down or anything. The dress should have had a more durable zipper unlike the plastic one that was on it. Very disappointed. Beautiful dress, horrible zipper.”

“I ordered this dress is teal for my daughter's wedding. The color is darker and the fabric is stiffer than I anticipated. However, the appliques and beading are nice. My problem is that I ordered according to their size chart, and this dress is huge on me. I would guess it is 2 sizes bigger than what I should have received based on their size chart and recommended size. There is no option to return the dress, so now I am stuck with an ~ $600 dress for which I have no use. With the beading, and the amount that would need to be taken in (at least 4 inches), I am not sure that it can be altered. I used to be a tailor, and I wouldn't attempt it, but maybe someone else would. To me, it is not worth the extra expense to try to have it altered. Nordstroms has the same dress, but for a higher price, If I had bought it there, I would have had the option to return/exchange it.”

“I think it's ridiculous that you guys are charging additional 10% because I want to exchange a $650 dress for a size that can pass through me. That's poor customer service. Most of my dresses are size 6, but this brand Most have a smaller cut. It's really pathetic.”
