More buses are needed to pick up and drop off to the long stay car park.

Everytime I use this carpark the barrier never opens with your ticket when leaving, I always have to go into the office to get someone to sort it out, sick of it and also cant you have some sort of easy way remembering where your car is parked, Arriving in the middle of the night and after getting easily parked having to look at what bus stop and car park number your in and then fumble for a pen to write it down as the lighting is so bad to take a good photo on your phone and not everyone brings their phone on hols. Vamp it up, your an International airport and making a fortune on parking, gave something back.

Airport parking is very expensive eg 25% of the cost of the fares for 2 on a flight into Europe. For that one expects 5 star service, and it isn't provided. The signs telling you which parking areas are being used could be clearer. The entrances and exits could be marked more clearly. The bus transfer could be more frequent and tailored to flight arrivals and departures. On our last return on 24th June at about 10pm, we were told by the bus driver that we had to read the bus stop numbers for ourselves in daylight hours. It wasn't daylight, it was after sunset and overcast, it was raining so that windows were covered in water, and there was some idiotic advertising wrap over the bus which made it impossible to see through the windows anyway. The driver did in fact call out the bus stop numbers, but that initial comment was unhelpful and annoying to people tired from a long day's travelling. For the large amount of money charged, you need to do better. If you didn't have a monopoly, your customers would desert you.

Easy walking distance to terminal. Courtesy bus service needs sorted out. If you are parked in letters beyond G, bus gets full from A to F pick ups and goes to terminal. Next bus then repeats process of picking more passengers up from A to F. I was parked in H and waited at 4.30 in the morning for over 20 minutes for buses (4 passed me and were all full), decided to walk to terminal.

The parking itself is straight forward and very good, but expensive for 3 days (it was the same price to park for 7 days). The short stay was £10.00 more for 3 days and when I arrived the short stay was virtually empty.

I have used the parking service quite a few times in the last 5 years but since I acquired my 63 Reg vauxhall mokka about 3 years ago I have ALWAYS had to use the help facility at the exit barrier before I could exit. Your staff are relatively courteous when I do so but it's a bit irritating when they always ask me if i'd put my ticket in. Is it my car registration or your system that's the problem?

Found it very stressful on returning to my car this time as the markings to exit the overflow car park were unclear

Drove in, got the ticket from the machine as you enter through the barrier system. Found a parking space with no bother! Just waited a few minutes for the bus to take us up to the doors of the terminal. On the way back the pick up point is just outside the terminal, we must have waited nearly 10mins for a bus to take us back to the car park. The bus was full. We were sat 3/4 of the way up the bus but could hardly hear the bus driver as he was calling out the bus stops but not the car parks! We knew which car park we were parked in but you need to know which bus stop you want to be off at as you can end up at the completely wrong end of your car park It was dark as you'd expect at 1.30 in the morning so you can't see out the windows for the lights inside the bus reflecting on the Windows! Luckily I just caught sight of the car park letter which we were in and rushed to get off! We were 3stops later than we should have gotten off at but we weren't too far away just a 2minute walk. We weren't the only ones on the bus to be confused! Next time I think we will just walk to the car from the terminal especially if it's dark and as it took nearly 25mins to get to the car from passing through customs. It probably would only have been a 5-10 minute leisurely walk to the car anyway! No problems getting out the car park. Just remember to have your ticket that you take from the machine when you first entered the car park! LESSON LEARNT THIS TIME- make sure you make a note of the bus stop number of where you get picked up from! Take a photo if needed as after 2weeks of relaxation you will forget!

Booking easy and later offer of upgrade to short stay appreciated. However, I understood that number plate recognition would be used to enter and exit. Not so. After an embarrassing wait and no reply from the help button (why do you continually assure us the call will be answered?!), I took a ticket to just get in, feeling that the problem would have to be resolved before departure as return was 1.00am and did not want to get stuck at that time. No one was available to sort the problem out - just well meaning airline staff saying all would be OK. As anticipated, barrier did not open on departure and a rather blunt (tired?) person on the end of the help button said put my card in as if I where thick. As I had not paid using the card I could not understand how it would open the barrier..........perhaps a bit of adjustment needed Newcastle Parking?

It wasnt easy trying to find a parking space spent at least 20 minutes driving around perhaps people could get allocated space so they are not wasting time

Booking was easy online. On arrival finding a space was the usual drive around looking for a space but this is normal at all airports. What was poor was the total absence of transfer buses which for a seven o`clock flight with many flights at that time of the morning with the number of flights departing was terrible. Luckily it wasn`t raining. Same on arrival with no buses. Return flight delayed over six hours with the parking ticket showing showing out of hours and only the pleasant helpful chap in the exit booth drags this up from poor to normal

car park does get extremely full and would have appreciated being able to book disabled parking did struggle with disabled pensioner, 18month old child, 3 suitcases, wheelchair and buggy ! and only 2 able bodied assisting. Do make a note of your nearest bus stop number as one person actually asked the driver if he could remember where he had parked !!!

An electronic display at the entrance, showing just where in the long-stay car park there are places to be found.
