The car parks weren't labelled as full correctly and we spent almost half an hour driving round trying to find a space. The free shuttle bus was also not labelled clearly

The car park is how you would expect it to be, however it is not serviced well enough by the courtesy buses. We had to wait so long for our bus on arrival, it would have been quicker to walk. On our return we waited for about ten minutes then decided to walk and was not overtaken by a bus. This is not good enough.

Going to an airport is a stressful event to some people, found to layout of long stay car parks very confusing. Drove past several signs saying either full or no entry so keep driving round for quite a while till we eventually found one space after driving up and down the rows of cars. Also some drivers parking skills are not good taking up 2 spaces. Would be better if there was white paint markings of each space to minimise rubbish parking. Parking change fair, shuttle bus service good both ways, numbering the bus stops great idea because if they were not I would still be looking for my car.

vehicle recognition does not recognise personal registration plates would help if customers were informed of this prior to trying to exit barrier

When we arrived we found all the car parks full and were a little confused where the over flow one was. We did find it but better signage in that situation would be a benefit.

I was disappointed when we collected our car that there appeared to be works near our car. This seemed to the cause of a layer of dust on our car.

Shuttle bus system worked well but barrier did not open on existing. Fortunately there was an operative on hand to open the barrier.

Positive points - signs easy to follow, found space quickly, bus to and from terminal available quickly. Negative points - parking space very small, unable to access my car door on return. Returned to car in the dark it would have been helpful when the bus stopped to say what car parks that stop serviced.

It is difficult to find the exit from block B in the dark. I drove round a couple of times before I found the way out. More exit directions neede.

My wife and I were disappointed at the system for collecting passengers from the Long Stay Car Park Bus Stand 13. At 04:00 on a wet & cold morning the bus passed the stand twice full, on the third time around the bus was again full but after appealing to the driver he condescended to let us on. Is there not a system that allows the driver to alter the route so that he can collect passengers that appear to have waited along time and are becoming increasingly agitated that they may have problems with being late checking in. After my holiday the return journey was very satisfactory.

Originally I booked in the long stay car park for 7 days as I usually do, but I was offered an "upgrade" to the short stay park outside the terminal building. As we were getting back late, to save the hassle of waiting for the bus to the car park I took up the offer. We were a little apprehensive when we saw the notices saying 3 days maximum stay but the instructions on my email clearly told me where to go so we left the car. On return at 11.30p.m. it was very easy to walk straight to the car, but on arriving at the barrier it would not lift and said because we had overstayed we had to pay. My paper work was in the case, no one was around and it was quite a walk to the office and the whole point of staying in the short stay was a quick get away so I paid £157 at the machine. I e-mailed the next day and was quickly contacted by phone. After a quick check I was told that the automatic number plate recognition camera had made a mistake and the money would be refunded to my card. The matter was swiftly and efficiently dealt with and the money refunded within a day or two.

The day we left the car park there seemed to b various problems regarding the raising of the barrier and there was a queue to leave as some people were stuck at the front. We had our own problem as we had lost the card on holiday however this was quickly resolved in the office as we had all paper work needed.

Very hard to find a space!! On returning home, all of us on bus knew where our cars were I.e. J or C etc, but bus driver went on number of bus stop. So make sure you take a note of where you get on!! Was very confusing in the dark.

I wanted to give a higher mark but we waited 20 minutes for the shuttle bus after parking our car. There were several small children waiting at the stop on a cold, rainy day and the service should have been more frequent

While the parking is very handy when using the airport I feel value for money it is not that good. Directions to enter and leave are a little confusing and I found myself going around in circles as notices directed me to areas that were free only to find I ended up in a dead end and could not reverse, this should be looked at a little more. The costs are also a little ambiguous to be informed online saves 60% and then to arrive and it is cheaper to pay when you leave is very annoying. Overall handy because of where I live but that is the only good points.

The medium stay car park is important at Newcastle as the long-stay car park buses are intermittent and you risk missing a flight waiting for them. It is expensive but convenient for the terminal.

Signs guided me to area A which was full , have driven around all the roads went to overspill and parked. When walking to terminal noticed man in a van removing spaces sign from area A - bit late for me.

Confusion over which part of the long stay carpark was open. We were not the only people to be told that the new part of the carpark was not open despite having a lot of cars in them. This was the case both outbound and inbound.

Easy to use but expensive compared to Manchester We found configuration of buses poor, hard to lift cases into storage racks & generally difficult to manouver with heavy cases

I've used the airport parking quite a bit over the years, and always found it fairly easy if ridiculously expensive - very much like the absolute rip-off if you ever have to collect someone at the terminal in short stay. Anyway, this is the first time I've been asked to write a review. I normally choose to walk from wherever I park to the terminal, to keep the blood pumping before a flight and all that, it's not far. However the time before last I was late and tried to catch the "transfer"; I saw the bus coming and decided on my closest next pick up point, so started running for that. The way the bus snakes about I was sure I could make it, and it was obvious to the driver what I intended to do. I even made eye contact with him at one point - he turned his head and looked at me dragging only a carry on, clearly in a hurry and heading towards the stop. I even slowed - I was so confident that he'd seen me and appeared to acknowledge what my intent was - actually I did make it, only for him to shut the doors as I levelled with them and off he trundled, in a bus with about six people on board. I was furious and if I'd had more time would have found him and asked why he did that. Therefore, whilst the facility is fairly good (two lines painted on tarmac between which I park my car, how could it be anything else?), I find the whole issue of parking at the airport a distasteful one for two reasons; 1) It's too expensive, and 2) I can still see the driver with grey hair and glasses looking stupidly at me through the window as I was running towards the pick up point.
