Absolutely terrible we had a boiler fitted, the engineer who did the after check tore big holes in my flooring, northern gas said they would cover the cost of new floor, after lots of emails and phone calls and 5 months later they stopped contact and now avoiding us, so no payment lady, trying to take it further often involved now, we are a venerable couple my partner is disabled, would never recommend northern gas

Sad experience, we had a new Worcester Bosch boiler fitted by Northern Gas 18 months ago after three failed appointments the Guys turned up to do the installation, the poor guys were given a day to do the job that was quoted as a two day job for two engineers they worked hard and finally left our property at 10pm after providing them a meal as they had 50mile journey for their overnight stay, we had problems with air in our system soon afterwards engineers revisited and made some adjustments, 18months later the boiler failed and had to be replaced due to heavy corrosion and leaking pipes within the boiler casing, this was rectified very well directly by Worcester Bosch who honoured their Warranty and sent 3 engineers and a foreman to over see the job 10 out of 10 unfortunatly the cause of the failure is the way the boiler was plumbed, we are still waiting for a visit, four phone calls in the last 10days with no reply, finally got an appointment for tomorrow 13th March was cancelled at 7.30pm as doubled booked, strange never heard this excuse before!! I am looking forward to giving a better review as I have never written a bad one before, but somebody at Northern Gas needs to Listen please.

Admin/customer service is shockingly bad. I should have realized this when they took so long to arrange fitting. Now that the thermostat has broken down, the 2 year guarantee apparently doesn't cover it - which was never mentioned - and their attitude was shocking. Sorry I ever dealt with them.

The initial installation experience in Scotland was a nightmare with shoddy workmanship which was only resolved when I with held payment. Now two years later my annual service is now months overdue. I have phoned and been informed that the service engineer for Scotland has been on long term sick leave and service engineers will be deployed from England but no dates given. Disappointed that this company which were sold to us as professional and had customer care at the forefront of their operation- a) have only one service engineer for Scotland and b)when I phoned to enquire (twice in July/August) when I would have my boiler serviced I was informed that they have been unable to recruit a replacement engineer in Scotland and would dispatch service engineers from England but could not give a date for this. Avoid this company

Absolute waste of time, appointments not kept to do survey, no contact from them and then lame excuses as to why they didn't show up. Do not use this company, I've no working boiler but that makes no difference to these cowboys. AVOID

The installation was okay, 2 men took one day. They did, however leave a lot of mess in the attic in the way of boxes. My main issue was the men had a long drive afterwards from Wiltshire to Wolverhampton and said they didn't have time to sign it off. We had no manual, and more importantly no warranty. After nearly 4 months of pestering them and being told each time that they would definitely send it, they finally managed to email a copy for us to print off. A gas boiler by law has to be signed off so would not recommend.

Do not use this company, they gave me a price of £2600 to fit a boiler, when the fitter came out he wanted a further £400. I refused to pay extra money and cancelled within the 14day cooling off period. I had paid a deposit of £525 and have been trying to get my money back for over a month. I get excuses like manager taken her children to school, accounts manager not in today. Will call you back with update. Will send a cheque in post. Accounts manager left. You name it and Ive probably heard the excuse from this company. Do not trust them with your money.

Stay away... far away... After couple of weeks after installation we had a leak from new pipes. Of course Northern Gas did not have anyone to sent out so we were told just to wait. By the time they came out 2 weeks later the ceiling was dry but bulging, but anyway guys said the leak has sealed itself so it's fine and off they went. Not even a year after the installation another massive leak from pipes going to the boiler. Trying to get someone from Northern Gas to come and have a look at their poor work is like winning a lottery! No chance! So I was left with no heating, no water and no lights because of the leak in cold at end of November. After spending all day on the phone to them the only thing they could offer was Vaillant service the next day and one of their plumbers in 2 weeks time. Mind I had to switch off the water as it was pouring down from the ceiling, tripping my lights and at that point no heating. Freezing cold and 2 kids at home. In the end I asked them what to do and thoughtfully someone said to get a plumber and they will reimburse the costs. Next day both Vaillant service engender and independent plumber looked at pipes installed by Northern Gas and said they have used Old pipes that had pin holes in them not even year after installation!!! Northern Gas agreed to pay for damages to ceilings, drying of the house and cost of plumber. No communication and No sign of Money till this date!!! But I'm left with damaged ceilings, pipework that may still break at any time and uncertainty. Not worth the money. Broken promises. Do not trust them.

Boiler incorrectly fitted with wrong amp fuse and silicon not render around exhaust pipe. Condensing pipe leaking on my newly fitted wooden floor. Contacted David Mabon who said they would fix things. After engineers report when boiler needed safety work to avoid it being condemned have not been able to get hold of anyone. Looks like will end up in court, have reported to Gas Safe. Very concerning after they seemed so good to start, total let down!

Left my grandad with no help !!! Fast to take money !!! Full of promises that they can not deliver !! Over priced mr Khan will lie and trick you into buying something they can’t deliver !! Stay away!!!

4 days without heating & hot water, have to chase them up & when valiant come out the engineer finds a fault which should have been picked up on the northern gas service ( 5 weeks previously) which within a year would have caused damage which may have destroyed the only 5 year old boiler! Disgraceful service by northern gas

I’m waiting now 5weeks to get refunded. Evertime when I call they play games with you. When it comes to payment suddenly all the managers are available to speak to you. When it comes to refund suddenly managers are in the meeting for the last 3 weeks or off sick. I need my money back!!! SCAM!!!

3rd time I’ve posted this review. Salesman was nice to start with. But when I corrected him on his calculations and inaccurate fact he turned nasty. He tried to sell us a larger boiler than our property needed. Also products that we didn’t need. Told us that we had to sign there and then and he wanted a deposit.

Shockingly irresponsible in meeting commitments and responding to inquires. Don't buy a new boiler from this company if you live in London. They will not show up when promised. They do not respond to requests for reschedule. They do not answer repeated requests for refund of deposit.

Do not believe any of the reviews on this website. I have posted my review 3 times and 3 times they’ve taken it down. They left my house in a dangerous state, floorboards not put down properly, left unsafe electrics, unsafe gas pipes and leaks all over my house. They came back and fixed some of these issues- 3 months later but there is still ongoing works from November 17. I will continue to keep posting my review as a warning to others.

BEWARE of this company thier representative spent hours with me promising me the world then took a massive deposit and a month later no work has taken commenced and they have told me they cannot install at all and will now will take 10% of the total value of the job to cancell the contract. (1) Record if you can the conversation with thier sales representative and any phone conversation you have they misrepresent themselves and get you to sign up (2) Read the fine print, they often quote from this to counter what thier sales person said, (3) You have very little rights under thier contract and only 14 days to cancell (they spend a month arranging varoious surveys to get around this timline line) (4) do everything via email to have an additional record. I had a very bad expereince with my £4500 bolier replacement complete shambles on how they work and what they promise is not what you get and now out of pocket hundreds of pounds for a job they didnt even start !

Installation not brilliant turned up late , they forgot to cap a pipe which could have flooded the airing cupboard and caused untold damage to the ceiling if I hadnt spotted it. We took out a boiler service pan but they never showed up or phoned to cancel on days they should have come, eventually I asked for my money back, after 6 months 9 phone calls and being constantly lied to and being treated with contempt they finally paid me back my money

I have reviewed all the notes for this customer and cannot find anything relating to the comments that have been made. We are investigating internally to see if there is any other knowledge as to why our customer has put this detail.
