Heres a list of my issues with them - 4 monsth waiting for installation - 11 months waiting for hive installation - 11 months with a faulty thermostat - wrong interest rate put on the monthly quote - talked out of a powrflush. So still 3 rads not working. - the worst customer service and call backs I have had. I strongly recommend you go to a local company over these guys.

Do not trust this company. They do not carry out there duties. Lie to you I do not even trust these good reviews on this site. Shambles Mainly contractors,false promises missed appointments, no apologies or help, ignore or never return your calls. Beware rogue trader alert My case will be going to ombudsmen and also reported to media.

BEWARE of this company thier representative spent hours with me promising me the world then took a massive deposit and a month later no work has taken commenced and they have told me they cannot install at all and will now will take 10% of the total value of the job to cancell the contract. (1) Record if you can the conversation with thier sales representative and any phone conversation you have they lie and get you to sign up (2) Read the fine print, they often quote from this to counter what thier sales person said, (3) You have very little rights under thier contract and only 14 days to cancell (they spend a month arranging varoious surveys to get around this timline line) (4) do everything via email to have an additional record. I had a very bad expereince with my £4500 bolier replacement and now out of pocket hundreds of pounds for a job they didnt even start ! Read this review as I relied on the others and this is where I am now.....

ruined my ceiling wont pay to repair - not even fee for emergency plumber - just messed around pretending to be away from office etc. Now taking to court

Price increased after surveyor visit. They messed me around when I cancelled and are now not answering my emails about my refund. I recommend that you avoid this company.

Aftercare is terrible, had boiler installed in 2015 and was supposed to get annual checks as to date no-one has checked boiler, have emailed company requesting a service of boiler but all emails go unreplied

Right from the beginning of this yet-to-be-completed installation it has been a catalog of woeful stories - unkept promises, unreturned phone calls, emails and texts. Awful customer service and experience. We are still waiting for someone to be brave enough to get in touch and let us know what has now gone wrong and when our boiler installation (which should have been completed two weeks ago) will finally be completed. Quite shameful, really. Never again!

This company has no respect for their customers they don't answer the phone or turn up on time very quick to take your money but very poor back up service British Gas are more expensive but you get what you pay for

I spent 11 months waiting to have a boiler fitted as part of the ECO2 boiler scheme. They took my money in November 2016, had to re-do the EPC and technical surveys twice, didn't turn up to fit the boiler 4 times and have just told me that the scheme has ended so they won't be rescheduling.

What went right? Nothing! New boiler installed 5 weeks ago over 2 days only to return home on 2nd day to a burst hot water tank & a leak through kitchen ceiling! Was promised new tank within 2 days but had to chase installation team for tank to be fitted over weekend so we would have heating but engineer was unable to get water to run from water tank to hot water tank. Further engineer out 2 days later & heating started working within 2 days but then noticed it wasn't turning off. More chasing & numerous phone calls for engineer to come out to put things right who eventually came but just did 'survey'. Now on 3rd booked & no-show appointment & unable to speak to customer service again!! At this rate I'll have my heating on for the whole of the summer! This really has been the worst & most frustrating customer service I have ever come across & find it hard to believe that Northern gas are able to operate as a reputable company when all they do is give out false promises. Northerngas please have the courtesy to respond to my review

Very poor customer service had boiler installed 3 days ago still hot water leak called 4 to 5 times still no one called back always saying engineer will call you in 10 mins now over two days no call they don't have any emergency number very bad experience left lot of rubbish out side our hose

Wow. What went wrong guys? Signed up with a very nice sales chap(Martin) who introduced me to my contact ( Mike) who i chased to pay the deposit then chased again for an installation date. called Mike to ask what time guys coming but got answer phone. Installation today( Thur 23 Feb 2017) and no-one turned up 9am. Called and waiting on line for 20 mins to speak to customer services who said someone will be round between 9-11am. i confirmed the house was empty and they had to ring me. Phoned again 2pm to say no-one rang and where are they! Said someone turned up rang bell then went. Funny he drove all the way there from London and turned back with no message through door or phone call! Rang customer services again who said they can install Next Thursday. I said rubbish i want deposit money back as i was certain this is a Cowboy company by then Jonathan(Customer services) who i have been dealing with at this time said he would ring me back to see if he can bring forward the time sooner than next Thursday. He never rang back. instead i rang him to say i'm sick of being fobbed off and want money back now and to put me through to accounts. After 20 mins of waiting i got cut off so rang back the sales department who said i need to email a Lynsey from accounts to get this back. so this is where i am, waiting........ I run a service company myself and if i treated my clients like this i would have no clients. This Company should not be on Which Trusted Traders. Shame on you Which!

We had a Vaillant Ecotec Boiler installed in 2014 and we have had nothing but problems. The install went well enough but we continued to have problems with the flue leaking, they sent out an engineer to replace part of the flue several times as the boiler refused to work due to this problem and water was collecting on the top casing, the kept on happening until the entire boiler had to be replaced due to corrosion. Fast forward to now (20/02/2017) and the flue has leaked again and now we are without heating or hot water for the last week. Vaillant sent out an engineer and he has condemned the boiler due to safety concerns. We are still waiting for Northern Gas Heating to come back to us with the date of when the intend to repair it. I shall need to contact Gas Safe to report these cowboys.

We attended the customers home and corrected all concerns. We have since been back to the customer and completed his annual service. He was VERY happy and has kindly said we can remove the above review as he has found our customer service to have improved. We have requested the removal of this review now, Thank you Mr Leggat - we will keep working hard to improve our standards

Bought solar panels from this company, they have not been working for over 6 weeks now. When an engineer came out to look at the system he said it was working and to keep an eye on it! Have been calling every day for the past week and a half and still nobody has got this sorted. Today I have been told the replacement inverter has been sent back to Germany, and they 'will try to send somebody out'. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company as Northern Gas before.

Northern Gas Heating installed a boiler for me three weeks ago. They recommended and installed the wrong boiler- one underpowered for the house. in addition as it was a combi boiler it was incompatible with our shower. They came out to "fix" the shower and proceeded to break it. We then had a continuous leak from the shower which I had to get another plumber to fix as they couldn't come out.Once that was fixed another leak appeared which damaged our hall and landing. We had another independent plumber come out who was astounded at the poor quality of the installation. The old boiler was left abandoned in our back garden, there was standing water left in dog legs in the piping (which is apparently a health hazard) and the old water tank had not been removed. After a number of calls (the staff were always friendly and competent but there was never a manager around- they were either in Tenerife on holiday or on two hour lunch breaks at 5pm!) an "inspector" came out from the company. He confirmed that the wrong boiler had been installed and made verbal promises about everything that would be done to put things right. We have been chasing for the two weeks since to get them to confirm this in writing. When I get through to them now, having told them I will be going to the Dispute Resolution Ombudsman and the Financial Ombudsman and that I am cancelling under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, my phone, which works perfectly well during my 25 minute wait in the queue, mysteriously drops coverage so they can only hear half of what I'm saying and then the line drops. Am amazing coincidence. So in short do not be attracted by the competitive pricing, the Which Trusted Trader status and the string of logos and accreditations on the site. At first sight they do appear a professional and friendly outfit. Sadly this is not the case. Do not put your money at risk. I'll be posting this on as many review sites as I can find in the hope it protects others. Incidentally, Kiran who has posted on here was one of the front line staff who dealt with me. She was very professional and prompt in her responses so it doesn't surprise me that she has been badly treated by them. Kiran hope you find something better soon- you're better than this company.

boier fitted 16/01/2017 after weeks of problems with this newly fitted boiler. now the boiler is showing fault codes on display unit (f-29) etc etc vaillant engineer came out to fix problem vaillant engineer informed me that the system was not flushed when boiler was fitted so because of this the pump is not working. vaillant engineer fixed problem and told me to contact northern gas heating and tell them that the system needs re flushing. on contacting northern gas and informing them of this problem they have given me the excuse that the system in the house is over 30 years old and it needs a power flush which my 89 year old father would have to pay for in excess of £300 +. now bearing in mind when the surveyor came out to inspect the property and to see if the property was suitable for this particular boiler he never mentioned anything about the system being to old and may need a power flush. also the system has only been in the property for around 13 years and i know this because i was the person who had the central heated fitted into the property. I am still waiting for a response from northern gas heating as to what they plan to do about this problem as there is a 89 year old gentleman in the property who has no heating or hot water. if northern gas heating would have informed us that this problem may have occured then we would have just left the old boiler in the property as it was working and at least my father would have heating and hot water. the whole situation is a total disgrace.and so very disappointing

We have since been in touch with this customer and provided a solution to the point where she has now put a 5 star positive review on and we are just awaiting this old review to be taken down.

Advised them to get new boiler in august. Sales great promised me they had loads of workers in South. When I have problem only one. Didn't manage to get started until November. Then got cancelled. Then re arranged all at expense to myself. No controller fitted to the system. Waited a few weeks and many calls that they never returned. I always chased. Had a small leak in December from there work. had to wait until mid January to fix. Still got a hole in the wall from the flue that has not been sealed and this is in February. Customer service very poor. Don't return my calls or any e-mails. Just use contractors to do the work. Still no paper work either r.e guarantee t and conditions. Very similar to Billy Newport review now have leak on floor that they said oh this is cos of the added pressure of combi. Would of been nice to hear this could be a problem before you did the install and I decided what to choose.

Had a boiler put in paid £250 on top and the job they done is cowboy job left with no central heating working called so many times they sent a engineer out he said your radiators got rust in them they can't get warm until you don't get new raditors . They left us with still no heating we switched off all the raditors couple of times because of airlock then they started to work the problem started of again when we didn't want the central heating on it was switching on its self we had no control on the boiler called so many times at last sent engineer out who sorted it out and then when he seen the job which was done in a bad state he took pictures repaired some bits which he could and could not do other bits because he didnt have all the tools once he left we started to have same problem again central heating working we had no control over the boiler I called up and they said we seen the job in pictures it's a mess a engeneer will be out on the 11 Jan 2017 and sort it all out for you waited no one turned up called up at 13:00 got to talk to someone who said will call you back in 10 min no reply called again at 14:00 got to speek to some one else they said I transfer you to my colleague who will help you waited 55 min still on hold I disconnected the call and called again got to talk to someone again and they said let me check I will put u on hold waited for another 40 min still no reply still on hold so I decieded to disconnect my self Very very disapointed they don't turn up waste our times I would never recommend this company to anyone

What went right is my answer, before,during and after, however !. My main concern is that I was promised £300 rebate by the salesperson that came to my home (max £400) within 1 month of completion of fitting a new boiler. This due to having loft insulation,double glazing, cavity wall insulation etc. This I am still chasing after 9months and having read all of the reviews, I concur with numerous, on the phone waiting all the time (if you can get an answer,cut off,promise of a reply,email. I have written 3 letters raising my issues and no one has had the decency to respond at all. I also will be taking this matter further and have no hesitation in stating that ! this company is the worst company I have ever dealt with and being a Project Manager myself, do know what I am talking about !! Northern Gas - Please make sure this review is followed up and that I get a reply.
