“Last Saturday one of two boxes being delivered was dropped- this box cntained 2 bottles.. I expected to be notified of arrangement for replacement promptly. Oh Wednesday I had heard nothing and followed up with emails to DPD and OBriens. The replacement was delivered yesterday and O’Briens apologized for the inconvenience caused. I had hoped for an extra bottle to compensate for my time responding to many emails in order to sort this out.”

“Went to order online but couldn't see a gift message option. Rang the contact number and spoke to a very helpful young lady. As we were talking through the steps I realised that I had missed the popup message option. Carried on with the transaction without problem. Delivery was flagged for next day and it was duly delivered. All in all, happy with the process.”

“I ordered a gift recently for delivery to a family member. As the delivery was to a rural area, I did not have the eircode, only the address. This created difficulty. I managed to source the eircode. The order was then delivered promptly. Thank you.”

“Hi. I’m a long standing customer of OBriens wines. We even got all our wine from Barry in your Drogheda branch. Barry is so knowledgeable and friendly 5star. I will say regarding the online deliveries, never have we once got a complementary bottle of wine or even a corkscrew in our orders. Secondly the packaging is excellent but is there a way to return the boxes for reuse? Thanks Paul Cravepa@gmail.com”

Hi Paul, Thank you for your feedback and for your kind words about Barry and our Drogheda store. Unfortunately we do not have a process of recovering the packaging at this time. Our online orders are packed to avoid damages in transit and to keep in line with our couriers insurance standards. We apologise for its bulky nature but as a company we have committed to reducing our footprint with our packaging and so do not use single-use plastic in our shipping. Please note that the outer box is fully recyclable and the inner 'egg carton' packaging is fully compostable. I will pass on your feedback about the demand for complimentary items for our loyal customers so that this can be considered. “Good quality/price, rapid order processing and delivery. Only criticism is that the country range is very conservative. OK, Greek wines have been introduced but there are emerging Eastern European and middle Eastern countries etc.”

“John Wilson recommended this Chenin Blanc in the Irish Times. I’m enjoying it. Interesting wine at this price - he described as fresh and vibrant. Can drink ok it’s own. I like that it’s screw cap.”

“Good service with regard to product and delivered in good time.....however, the website states free delivery yet I had to pay to have the wine delivered just 2 minutes down the road. I paid it because it was a special gift but you may wish to update your website if delivery is no longer free.”
