“I'm glad I signed up for Open Studio. Peter is a great teacher. Just going through a few of the lessons in depth has helped my jazz piano study immensely. The instruction is practical, comprehensive, and inspirational. It makes you want to practice more. The You'll Hear It podcasts are fun and a great reminder that even though we're all at different levels, everyone's committed to the same noble goal: little by little getting better at playing this music. 7 Stars!”

“As a relative beginner not just to jazz but to the piano in general, Open Studio got me playing standards and improvising amazingly quickly. I tried a lot of courses before settling on this one. It's easily the best. Peter Martin is such a talented teacher.”

“Fantastic! I've been having trouble finding a qualified instructor in my area, and even then my work schedule makes it difficult to get to lessons on a regular basis. This is a much less expensive and much more viable option.”

“Really love the interface and ease of navigating back and forth. You're team is very responsive as well to any needs. I'm interested in the Brazilian Rhythm section but do NOT want to pay monthly for any online program. It looks great though. Watched the introduction to it and thought it was really well done with great players. I'm working on Lubambo's two programs and they are fantastic. I was really happy that is a one-time payment for both. My only fear is that Open Studio won't be around long enough for me to through it all!!! Thanks for creating this opportunity for aspiring musicians.”

“I am getting so much out of my Elements of Jazz Course. It is set out in such a logical manner and thus easy to progress. There are a few small details I would like filled in but this is by far the best course on in the Internet and I have looked at a few! I love the 2 Minute utubes and You'll hear It utubes as they pad it out”

“Open Studio is the very best place to learn jazz..period. Regardless of instrument (mine is piano) there is so much to learn, even if already an advanced player. And you are learning from exceptional musicians (and, interestingly, they learn from each other). But still, it is not magic. You must practice, practice, listen, practice.”
