Open Studio is the best in the business. Between Adam’s guided practice session concept and Peter’s overall mastery of the genre and his charisma, OS has created their own market in the online music learning space. I haven’t found anything close to a rival platform. Well done to the entire team.

I purchased the piano open pass in November, and I love it. Adam Maness is a wonderfully organized and clear teacher. He uses a stepwise approach that is working for me. The guided practices make all the difference. I also appreciate the range of ancillary materials, like ear training videos, which reinforce and deepen what is in the coursework. The love that Adam Maness and Peter Martin have for the music is infectious.

I really find the passion and consistency of Adam and Peter wonderful and inspiring. I would offer two suggestions. One the lessons take a second to go a touch slower when showing chords, chord progressions and lines. And two, considering offering some batches on other sub-genres. We have brazilian, bepop, monk (and another I forget right now1!) but consider adding - holiday tunes, or three fundamental standards, or even funk or stevie wonder if those aren't too far off course of jazz. But fundamentally, this is the best jazz piano education course online.

Great piano lessons with teachers who make the difference: they show you not only the theory and technique but the idea and spirit of any piece of music they present.

Nothing will stop me from being a fan of Open Studio. It's the most amazing musical resource! I made a purchase of a PIano course. After working with it I realized that it was too advanced for me. I'm barely mastering scales. I asked for a refund and got it, no questions. I'll be back when I've gotten ready for further study. Meanwhile I use the Youtube vids to study the work of Adam, Peter and all the rest. Fantastic musicians and great people!

It is a great space. I learn so much but you have to spend a lot of time navigating the site. The pathways helps. And we’ll the lead sheets? IMPECCABLE! I wish he was teaching notation and music processing. I’m geeky that way! I think you are an incredible educational resource. So glad it is not a YouTube channel. And we’ll, the cost is perfect. It is similar to Master class at approx 225$. Thanks. And more tv theme songs!

Love the content, hate the website. The site is hard to navigate on both iPhone and computer and I end up wasting a lot of time finding my place in my coursework. Would be better if there was a personal dashboard that shows up after login, so I can make the most of my limited practice time. The content rocks and I’d love to get access to it more quickly and easily!

Open Studio is soup-to-nuts, hands down the best overall online education for aspiring jazzers that I have seen, especially for pianists. Adam Maness's creative direction sets a tone that is positive and purposeful, and his many course offerings provide students with clear roadmaps sprinkled liberally with innovative approaches to practice. The educators offering courses are each superb both as artists and as teachers. The production values are amazing, delivering a casual and intimate feel seamlessly and with the highest quality. And the administrative support on this team simply can't be beat; if you need to adjust your account or have any issues or questions, these folks have you covered. Class act!!!

The videos and teaching materials look great. I'm looking forward to improving my playing with a more structured approach than is possible using only books.

I am very happy to have these courses, here in Mexico it is difficult to find high-level teachers like you I feel that I have improved a lot since the first course I bought 3 years ago I really like how the courses are structured, they are very easy to follow and most importantly, you learn a topic and put it into practice

As a life long musician open studio has been a huge asset to my continuous learning. I have studied West African, Brazilian, and Cuban percussion and have dabbled with anything else that makes noise. Recently while finding myself at home more than normal during the pandemic I took up the piano. I started with alfreds piano books for kids, which allowed to get past my fears of reading music and understanding music theory. I got the all access pass and I love this style of teaching. The emphasis on listening and feeling the music reminds me of learning new percussion rhythm. I luckily self taught myself enough that I can jump into the beginner level courses without being lost, and I am excited I found a curriculum that will inspire me for years to come.

Happiness scale is super! Because I think this will get to the Root and 1-3-7-9-11-13 of my problem in using chords

My Full Notation @ 1/2 speed in My Wynton Kelly Segment does not work ? Also can you give relative Metronome markings for your 60,70, & 80 percent.
