“Open Studio is a wonderful community of engaging and supportive teachers/performers and like-minded students, all intent on improving our Jazz skills and appreciation of this wonderful art form. All are welcome, with egos checked at the door. The live classes, online content, and performance opportunities (not to mention master classes with some of the top names in Jazz today) are incredible. OS has had a huge, positive impact on my musical journey. I can't recommend it enough.”

“The best part is the community of people with similar goals and passions. There are many great teachers who are enthusiastic about teaching and offering different topics and styles of playing. There is such a wealth of courses you can spend hours every day learning something new and practicing. The downside is the lack of guidance for the new members of OpenStudioPro. You have to just jump in and figure it all out where to go on your own.”

“I've been with OS now for years, and joined OSPro as soon as it opened up. I cannot stress how much it has improved my playing, and how it has changed my thinking about music, and approaching music "professionally" - in the sense that I commit to engaging with the material in a deep and consistent way. Adam has been and continues to be an inspiration, and there is so much more to discover. It's a blast and worth every single penny!!”

“The concept is great. Opportunity to learn a universe of jazz concepts and techniques from live jazz artists. But I have decided to quit. 1. Growing pains never-ending. In the background the website navigation changing so much it was hard to find continuity, and sometimes would be unable to find a regular offering. That has gotten better, but then another glitch. 2. Some downright bad pedagogy. Worst was the focus of one teacher on himself, watching that narcissism get in the way of his own goals. He would try to demonstrate something by playing it excessively fast and then saying "how good is that?!" as though he needed adulation more than anything else. I have returned to a great teacher I know well and given up on the fantasy that OS is a cornucopia. I loved Peter, and Bob DeBoo and all the master class teachers and the enthusiasm of the other students.”

“This is a fantastic resource. Something you can immerse yourself in when you have time, or dip into when you’re busy. The advice, from heavy duty jazz NAMES is second to none, and the mutual sort of the OS community is a joy. That’s without mentioning the listening sessions and podcasts! So many riches for a very reasonable subscription Big up especially to Bob De Boo, who is the very definition of someone who wears his learning lightly. A great musician and a great teacher”
