“I'm a professional drummer and drum teacher who has flirted with learning jazz piano for years, but have never jumped in with both feet because it seemed like such a huge, intimidating subject. By the end of my first Jazz Piano Jump-Start lesson, I could tell that I had the perfect tools (chromatic warmup, interval etude) to open the door and work on what I can right now and not worry about the rest, and I felt REALLY EXCITED rather than intimidated! I even did some free play using the intervals and licks from the interval etude, and I started to feel (a little bit) like a jazz pianist! As a teacher, it's so cool for me to feel this little taste of the real thing and a burst of confidence about a big, new subject, and it's reminding me to foster that feeling in my drum students. Thank you, Adam!!! Love the easy 5-note ii-V-I voicings I have learned from you, too. So fun and a perfect sound. Thanks so much.”

“Thank you so much for a good advices! Just in one week after joining OS, my playing has got much better. Now I can see little (but important) things I’ve been missing. “The Keezer course is great. A lot of material to chew on. Scrolling options for the video could be improved (left and right arrow for 10 seconds back and forth like Youtube), but I'm otherwise very content.”

“Peter Martin's Open Studio is a great thing for jazz musicians. It's not easy to get lessons from a world class player when ever you feel like it. Some teachers are reticent to show you their best stuff, but Peter seems thrilled to do so. Even when the pandemic is over, nothing can beat this as a way to improve your improv.”

“It was a delight to hear Dianne sing (isn't it always?) and share her insights on singing, jazz and performance. She's warm, personable, and she's a very encouraging teacher. Mighty generous of you guys to share her lead sheets! I've looked for her songbooks in the past, and this is a real bargain for the price. I have already begun to re-compose one of my own arrangements, following Diane's advice. What a treat!”
