Open Studio Jazz is the best online source for anyone who want to continue studying music on your own. Both Adam and Peter are very knowledgeable and encouraging. In my opinion, I got lucky and signed up with them at a time where I think I got a real steal.

Open Studio is worth every penny! The guided practice sessions, especially in the beginner courses, take away all the guess work about how to put into practice what Adam and Peter teach on the theory side. The site redesign that just debuted adding course bookmarks makes it just about perfect.

Everything that I wanted to learn and know about is all here. The most knowledgeable and most kind teachers you could ever hope for . By far the best on the internet. Love every moment of the Live sessions. Always something to work on.

I benefitted from all the courses I opened to watch. See Rachel, found many missing links tho, but got workarounds/fixes within a day or so of each notification to her, which was great. Sound quality and speed of presentation and in some cases, lack of materials with the J Piano Method Course by Peter were not up to your later vids standards, I realize these are older, the info was good tho. Re speed often makes references to other concepts pretty fast, luckily I was familiar enough to follow, and where no materials available, stop to make notes of new tidbits as needed, but not everyone in that course--even uf level 4, like I am, would be able to work at that speed. Cleaning up the sound if poss. would also be nice on those. I am returning to playing after a very long layoff, so familiar with most of the topics and just reviewing, found some good tibdits new here and there or reminders tho. I have been using OS on YT and get your emails for GPS and You'll Hear It podcast, was waiting for the Parks course release to get in for that and other courses, knowing that much would be review for me. Thank you for all you do, keep up the good work!

I’ve had the subscription for 4 months but I haven’t used it until yesterday 4/6. I think what you’re doing is excellent! Unfortunately while you make an excellent water hole, only we the subscribers can make the choice to drink from it. I will be back to take more sips as I acquire a taste for this healthy water… forgive me, but I’m guilty of gorging on sweet tea and craft beer (youtube shorts and IG reels). I’m finally taking responsibility for what I ingest (invest) in!

I like learning jazz piano with open studio. It’s been seven months since I joined an OS member and I am pretty satisfied with various lesson which I never get bored. OS has given me an opportunist to increase jazz vocabulary such as Bebop, rhythm and voicings, it helps me to improve my level. Additionally, all instructors are world-class jazz musician!

7 stars, like the podcast, but I can't get that to work. I think the best thing is the sense of community, the bond with other students, that you can't get elsewhere. You feel like part of a family.

I love Open Studio! Its value is as large as the amount of time and practice I can put in. All levels covered well, by a large team of expert improvisers who also know how to teach, and discover new ways to look at music (=new courses!) all the time. Peace, and piano!

OpenStudio is a mega resource for all musicians - not just for piano but for all instruments. Not only are the courses brilliant, client service is also superb in responding to all types of questions. Highly recommended!

I don't think I use Open Studio in a very conventional way — which I think is one of its many great strengths. I was a touring and recording musician for 30 years, and although I don't play out anymore, I still play (and, more to the point) aim to improve every single day. Open Studio by now has accumulated such a vast repository of musical knowledge that for someone like me, who knows a lot and also knows how much I don't know, can find answers to really specific questions I have (and answers to questions I didn't yet know to ask!). But however you use it, it's invaluable, just an amazing resource.

I'm so glad that I've found your platform. The content quality is extremely high! Right there's only one thing I wish to enhance platform-wise. If you could have 3 states for lesson/practice session it would be better in my opinion: unseen, seen, completed. You'd still manually marked completed lessons but if you watched they'd be marked as seen automatically

I already recommended to a pianist friend. It is really very good .. even for a guitarist. I'm kinda working on the guitar foundations but wish it was split into some thematic sections .. feels a bit daunting, would like some sense of completion on a topic. Very cleanly put together site with the music, fretboard, keyboard and video .. very smooth and professional feel. I like I can go right back into several lessons from a dashboard.
