“I decided to give Open Studio a try because I wasn't making good progress in my piano lessons with my local teacher. If you already have a solid foundation and want to get into jazz, Open Studio is perfect! Peter and Adam are not only great players but also very motivating teachers. The lessons are well thought out, and there are lots of courses for all kinds of levels. Thank you so much, Peter and Adam, for the work you put into these courses; you are doing a great job! These courses are perfect if you have the self-discipline to work through the material at your own pace. For me, it works better than having lessons from a local teacher because it is really hard to find a good teacher who is willing or capable of teaching these concepts in such a concise and structured way.”

“I am enjoying the piano jazz etudes course very much! I am a 69 year old pro musician and I wish to improve my jazz improvisation skills, which need a lot of work. So far I have found the etudes to be very informative and helpful as I work to improve my jazz piano playing. Looking forward to the next lesson. Thanks!”

“I've tried several online piano courses before discovering OpenStudioJazz, but none of them met my needs quite like this one. Since joining, I've been improving faster than I imagined. Not only have I been playing more, but I've also been enjoying the process a lot! The key part that makes OpenStudioJazz great for me is the 'Guided Practice Sessions' (GPS). They are engaging, fun, and easy to follow along with, making practice something I look forward to rather than a chore. The pacing of the courses is excelent as well, striking the perfect balance between challenging and manageable. The courses emphasize picking things up by ear, which really helps with improving my musicality. Overall, I couldn't be happier with OpenStudioJazz. Highly recommended to anyone serious about mastering jazz piano!”

“I'm only on week one, but the depth of information and the Adam and Peter's accessibility makes me feel confident that this is going to be worthwhile. “I recently joined as a monthly member and after a few weeks into it, I am very happy that I joined! I've played piano my whole life, but never pursued jazz music. So far, I have worked on some of Adam's courses which have been very helpful in learning my scales in more depth, as well as other theories that I'm not familiar with, but am becoming more familiar with. I like that I can go at my own pace and that I can go back and listen to the video courses over & over, even skip around a bit....depending on what I want to learn that day. Adam's teaching style is fun, clear & quite perfect! Thank you, Adam...thank you Open Studio!”

“I can't stop telling people about Open Studio! I have wanted to learn jazz piano for years but have felt overwhelmed by how much there is to know. The Jump Start course has given me the confidence to just get started. I find Adam Maness very engaging and motivating and the interaction between him and Peter Martin is relaxed and positive but most importantly they are full of fun! My progress is slow but steady but the most important thing is that I am enjoying it and sticking at it. Great job, guys!”
