When I first heard about Opendoor, I was extremely skeptical. We needed to quickly sell my Mothers home after she passed away. The house needed work and we live out of town so we didn't have the time or desire to fix it up for sale ourselves. We decided to get a free no obligation offer from Opendoor. We went online, filled out some information on the house, scheduled a video walkthrough and within a few days we had a very good offer. I kept thinking of the saying "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is." I was still very skeptical so we did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews. We felt pretty comfortable with them, plus we knew we could cancel right up until closing if we wanted to with no fees. We decided since the real estate market in Tampa was hot, we would go ahead and sell our other rental house if we could get a good enough offer. They gave us an offer we considered more than fair on that house as well and in two weeks we closed on both homes. The closing process went smoothly on the rental house, but there were a few last minute hiccups on the home which had gone through probate. Despite the hiccups,both homes closed on the exact date we chose, the money was in the bank within hours and all and all it could not have gone smoother. We highly recommend Opendoor. Do not think you would get more money going though a Realtor. It may or not be true, but it's worth it to give them a change to make you an offer just to get an idea of what it's worth. We did absolutely nothing to either home as far as repairs of fixing them up for sale. They paid cash, so there was no last minute negotiating for us to fix anything. They made the offers, we accepted them and closed exactly when we wanted to in about 2 weeks.

Working with Opendoor was a unique and good experience. Unique because I felt like I was in control and there was no pressure whatsoever. Closing was relatively painless. There were some technical difficulties sending photos on my end, but some eventually arrived and the closing took place as scheduled.

I just sold a condo to Opendoor. Very satisfied with the smooth transition from preliminary offer, video walk through inspection, final offer, two weeks stress free escrow. The offer price is fair, and repair cost is reasonable. I will definitely recommend it to friends.

Great experience working with Opendoor from beginning to end. They gave me a great competitive offer for my house and the process selling to them was easy and fast. Everything was done digital, housing viewing to signing paperwork. Closed my house within weeks. I would recommend Opendoor to anyone who is looking to sell, this is the future of real estate.

You can trust Open Door. We just sold our home to them and everything went exactly as they said it would. No hidden fees, no surprises. We got an extremely good, fair market value offer and paid only a very small amount in repair fees (0.3 percent). We had many people try to tell us we would end up paying more or we couldn’t trust the contract or we wouldn’t get good service but absolutely none of that was true. I’m so happy I went with my gut and trusted this company. Johnny was our representative and he was always easy to reach and really helpful. Happy, happy, happy.

What an incredibly smooth process - when selling a home can be anything but. My agent (Kayla) was remarkable. Friendly and personable and responsive. If she didn't know an answer, she'd ask for one until I was satisfied. Just an awesome experience - even with our last minute snafus causing us to use both the late checkout AND the extended checkout.

The agent Pete Bauch made efforts to assist us on the property purchased. Unfortunately, There are many factors , it does not go to a closing.

Caitlin my open door rep made the entire process very easy and was always available to answer any questions. I would recommend open door to anyone selling their home. It’s easy, quick and you pick your close date. I don’t know why anyone would go through the traditional way of selling. And on top of all that they offered a market value.

This was my first time to sale a house and I had the best experience with Opendoor and the whole entire team. Daniel and Cheryl were amazing g and made sure I knew what was going on in every step. The entire process was streamlined and I'd definitely recommend them.

Talk about making a very stressful time much less stressful -- Opendoor, and our partner Lori, made the selling experience ridiculously easy. We were building a new home and never were quite sure when it would be done, but by working with Opendoor and their flexibility, it was something we didn't have to stress about at all. Everything happened as promised when promised. Great job.

The Opendoor team were heaven sent!! The process from start to finish was under 20 days!!! The app , texts and emails made it easy for me to communicate while traveling state to state!! The fillable forms and electronic signature, yaaaazzzz! I swung into a UPS for a print, sign and email. I have encouraged two others to start the process and so far so good!!! I scored and off to start my new journey!! Chelsea, Kenneth and Midtown Law, I am forever grateful 🙏

Honestly Covid-19 has completely changed the housing industry. You would think that it would complicate the selling process however Opendoor has adapted and offers flexibility and are ridiculously accommodating " Like ridiculously." I know I am difficult to deal with " not proud it" just " accepting of it. " I worked with John. He was so customer service oriented and easy to speak with it, and more importantly extremely responsive. I will be in the market looking for a home and I will be turning to open-door since the experience has spoiled me and have set a bar of expectations that is difficult for many to meet. I think with this new program, the market will change and I encourage real estate professionals ( to which I am one) to change the way we do things in order to effectively compete and or keep up.

I was skeptical using Open Door (or Zillow) to sell a duplex I owned in Tucson (I live out of state) because I had read some bad reviews. Nevertheless, about six months before my tenant was going to move out I got initial offers from Open Door and Zillow just to see what the market might bear at the time. Not only was Open Door's offer better, but Daniel Nelson, the Open Door rep, was really nice and helpful via email and phone, unlike anyone from Zillow. Because I wouldn't be ready to sell for six months, and Open Door prefers a shorter closing time, Daniel and I agreed we would touch bases in about five months. In the interim, Open Door kept advising me that my initial offer had increased in price (it is a hot market). Once my tenant had vacated, Daniel arranged for Open Door to do an inspection so I could get a final offer with repair costs factored in. All I had to do was leave a key in a lock box and they took care of everything. The final offer was quite good, but I had a broker assess the house as well and tell me what she thought I could get. Although her number was a little bit better, it didn't take into consideration some of the repair costs that Open Door had identified. I went through the repair items carefully and determined that it wasn't worth the risk of going through a longer, more protracted closing through a broker with the risk that an inspection would uncover even more necessary (or buyer desired) repairs. Although I might have squeezed out a few thousand dollars more going with a broker, it wasn't worth the hassle or the risk. Plus, I really needed the cash quickly and Open Door was willing to do a 14 day close. Once I accepted the offer, the escrow and closing was a breeze. The escrow company was awesome and I had complete confidence in the closing officer. Notarizing the documents was a breeze ONLINE and I really was astounded at how easy it was.
