“Selling to Open door was very easy. All that I had to do was to take pictures of my home and upload a few documents, for them to give me an offer. They set a date to close and they sent a person to me to sign papers and I received my money electronically. It was easier than you would think. They were very nice and professional.”

“I liked the price I got for my house. I also liked the service that was provided. I liked how the people at Opendoor worked with me in getting my new home. The closing date was always changing because the home wasn’t finished. And Opendoor it was very flexible with me. And I appreciate that very much.”

“I may use an agent again to sell my home. I’m pretty sceptical about going outside my box. I always expect the worst and in my defense, it’s usually what I get. Not this experience! From beginning to end it wasn’t just easy peasy but smooth sailing. One word-WOW!”

“We took the plunge and used OpenDoor everything (Home/Title/Agent/Lender) and still left a 5 star! We knew the risk, we heard the stories (from independent Realtors at traditional Sunday Openhouses we toured), we knew of possible biases, but the mixture of promotions and honest responses we got from OpenDoor in the process made it worth it & I hope this really shakes up the industry from the Traditional Realtor fee model! Our story is so long, but want bring out a few key points that may help someone choose to read this review. We used OpenDoor agent to buy an OpenDoor owned home, sold by an OpenDoor agent, by using an OpenDoor Finance Lender, while also closing with an OpenDoor owned Title company! Yeah, the things independent Realtors or your long lost Uncle warn you about.... before jumping to conclusions, we choose to use all OpenDoor products on our own, it was never pushed, we also used our own hand picked Independent Inspector. The thing is... I think people get bad vibes from the 1800 yellow poster board "we buy homes cash" type companies that change their brand name every other month. However the thing to remember right off the bat is that OpenDoor is a real company, here as you see with years of some good and even some bad reviews; not a temporary yellow 1-800 sign, but here to stay, so reputation is important. I read a few of the bad reviews, mostly from sellers, it seems people tried sweeping issues under the rug, in which a traditional home inspection buyer as myself I would of asked for seller concession for anyway, or the seller just missed out on this odd housing pricing period we are in. The thing is, it is a service, just like moving; you can haul the couch up the stairs yourself, or pay someone else to do it and take the risk of falling down or denting walls. Real estate fees in general are already insane, 6% in what seems is just for pictures. I think Opendoor is trying to mix that up by consolidating the process while providing security and removing much of the anxiety, not having to leave the house for showings and more. We benefited from this as buyers as we could see any home, on the fly on our own, without bothering any residents, or even agents; simply key in your temporary entry code! So while we felt comfortable using OpenDoor thru our research, we still stayed cautions on every step of the process because we choose to use ALL of OpenDoor, all one sided; this fear actually turned out to actually be a PRO of the situation! Sometimes you buy something involving multiple parties, it gets lost; the shipper blames the retailer, the retailer blames the shipper and the circle starts. However, our experience of using OpenDoor everything was the likes of buying new cabinets from Ikea, made by Ikea, delivered by Ikea, and installed by Ikea, all one sided as well; but added benefit of coordination, a smoother process, and even savings passed on to the consumer. If there is an issue anywhere in the process, which admittingly we did have a few issues, since they are all essentially on the same team they quickly worked together to solve the problem as a team instead of passing blame! I just realized how long this is, so I'll try to wrap it up. I am not an industry worker or expert (and it depends on your State) but the thing is real estate transactions are so regulated that 99% of the document is legal filler text and nearly the only difference is how you split fees, appliances, dates, the price you want to pay, and the address of the home. There is no trying to 'Gotcha!' when working with OpenDoor; everyone in the process truly is looking out for you (except for the Selling Agent of course!), just like when you visit a good restaurant, they want you to be happy, which eventually you may tell your friends, so they too can visit and enjoy. As I am here dotting my i's and crossing my t's for the remaining paperwork to get to closing. I just want you to know, I felt as if I've always been in good hands with each party member I've worked with in the process and thankful for being able to tour homes on the fly whenever we could slip time in. I Love innovation and hopeful even more innovation comes by the time our little one is grown and we are ready to move again in the next decade.”

“My experience with Opendoor was nothing but superb. I was a little apprehensive in the beginning because this was new and at the same time the market was increasing or in other words hot market for sellers. After several discussions and weekly follow ups I became at eased as the process continued. I can’t say enough about Nesha and Stephanie, they put me at ease and answered all my questions without hesitation. If I had any questions they were just a phone call or email away. Let’s talk about closing, it was easy. Just have your home empty and cleaned without any debris left on property and upload pictures per detail. Notary was just a easy as long as you have valid identification… if you a passport card it’s not accepted for some reason, so I couldn’t use it. It should be removed or state Passport only. Wire transfer happened just as they stated unless it’s after transfer timeline cutoff for the day. Overall, happy and satisfied.”

“Everyone at Open Door was a pleasure to work with from start to finish including their third party title / closing company. Opendoor is very transparent, prompt, friendly and professional. We have bought and sold many houses before through traditional processes but this is by far the easiest transaction we have ever had. We received a great price for our house and there were no problems at all from start to close. We are considering buying our new home through Open Door as well.”

“Opendoor made the decision to sell my home easier. They gave a fair offer and deducted the repairs instantly. My home needed cosmetics and it got overwhelming. (I worked at an animal shelter for 10 years and bringing my work home with me came with 4 or sometimes 3 legs). Raul was awesome and helped me whenever I needed him and he was very quick to respond. The whole process was great. I used them for selling my home, at the time I contacted them I had already started looking with a broker and an agent. I wish I had known about all the programs Opendoor offered having their own agents (which saves you money) and their buying power that you can use to purchase a home. I wish I used them for all of the above, I feel like everything would have been so much easier. I ran into some snags on the buying side, however Opendoor worked with me for every hurdle I hit, I was able to move my closing date around and I took advantage of the late check out which was a lifesaver for me.”

“Selling my home through Opendoor was one of the easiest processes that I have ever been through. My initial contact was with a Sales Agent named Lori Nelson. She made the virtual walk-through process very relaxing and informative. I was told what to expect at different intervals throughout the entire sales process and was allowed to ask as many questions as I wanted to during the virtual tour. I was provided with the Sales Agent personal mobile phone number to text or call at anytime, if any questions or concerns arised after the virtual tour. I scheduled my external inspection of the house to take place two days later, and the Home Inspector arrived on time as expected. He did not have to come inside my home as promised. I was later provided an offer for my home by Opendoor that was very comparable to the fair market value for my particular neighborhood and size of my house with comparable amenities to others in n my neighborhood. Opendoor never reduced the quoted offer and that was one thing that I was very skeptical of in the beginning, because I had never sold a home outside of using a traditional realtor in a private sale. I was also informed about options on how to move out after closing with actually using money from the sale of the home for moving expenses, if needed. After accepting my offer, a Sales Manager by the name of Ashley Jennings guided me professionally & efficiently through the rest of the process until I reached my closing date & officially closed. The attorney’s office that I closed on the property with was extremely professional and did an outstanding job of having everything ready for me to sign upon arrival. They emailed an attached copy of everything that I signed with Opendoor's official signatures attached as well. The funds from the sale of the home were electronically transferred into my checking account in less than 2 hours after the sale. I would definitely sale another home through Opendoor, if the opportunity presents itself. I have actually been thinking about learning how to become one of their Sales Agent/Sales Manager, because I love the concept of the business and the fact that they have plenty of options for families who maybe facing financial hardship or simply need to sale their house fast, but can't wait on the traditional real estate company to find a buyer, show the home, & wait on offers. I referred a close friend to them early on in the process and I plan to refer plenty more friends and family. You literally can have your home completely sold with Opendoor door in about 2-4 weeks, if you are already packed up and ready to go or able to do so promptly. Their entire team was seriously that awesome. Good luck with your future home sell or buy!”

“Open Door was a pleasure to work with they mad everything so easy and were very accommodating when I had to keep changing my closing dates at the last minute. No showing was a major benefit for us because we are not the neatest, most tidy people. I would definitely use Open Door again if I had to sell my house.”
