“All details were explained clearly from the start. I came in with a request for possible laser treatment and left convinced that intra ocular lens replacement was the best for me. I am now sure that the advice was correct and am extremely happy to have followed this advice. The surgery was abolutely painless and fast and I had no discomfort whatsoever afterwards. The use of the plastic cover and drops was explained carefully to me and easy to follow. The staff from reception through to the clinics and operating room both in Bristol and Cardiff have been helpfull, cheerfull and professional at every stage. To date it has been a pleasure to attend and be part of Optical Express.”

“Staff at all branches of Optical Express that I have visited have been friendly and helpful. I only experienced one minor issue with the booking of a follow up appointment, it didn't appear in the diary so staff had to squeeze me in which they managed with no fuss. The Optometrists and surgeon have also been fantastic and made me feel completely at ease. Overall I have received a very professional service and would highly recommend Optical Express to friends and family (and have already done so).”

“Having lazer eye surgery has changed my life. I can do things now I couldn't do before when I was wearing glasses. I am still amazed every day at being able to get out of bed and see. The care that was given was very good. This was particularly important in my case, as I seemed to require a lot of aftercare. Overall very happy!”

“I had underestimated two things; the quality of my distance vision after surgery (much better than expected) but also the number of post-op visits I would have to have (there were many more). Generally, I felt well-prepared for the surgery and most of the care has been good or better. The only dampner is with regard to reading in low light after surgery - still quire bad (e.g. I couldn't read anything on a menu recently as the restaurant was pretty dark) but I am hopeful (and have been reassured) that it will get better.”

“I had Lasik with intralase 1 week ago on 13th February. I had a great experience from the outset - the staff at the East Kilbride store where I had the initial consultation were very friendly and so helpful, answering all my questions and taking time to explain the procedure in detail. On the day of the surgery itself I was excited but nervous. I needn't have worried - all of the surgical staff including the surgeon were fantastic they reassured me all through the very short 10 minutes I was on the table. The procedure itself was painless and although I had some discomfort for a couple of hours afterwards that went after a short nap. One week on I can't believe I didn't do it sooner. 10 out of 10 for Optical Express!!”

“Very apprehensive at first but was always put at ease. Staff in shop very friendly and cheerful. Clinic staff really lovely and cheeky n cheerfull. Was quite fun to look like a pirate for a day for each eye. No qualms about having the second eye done. Very happy with the end result. Also the follow up checks were equally professional and I was still looked after very well.”
