“Overall I am really pleased that I decided to go ahead with the surgery, it has helped me in my chosen career path which is photography as it is important to see what I am photographing, wearing glasses was sometimes impractical. I wish that I had of had the surgery sooner.”

“The operation to aftercare went as expected with great results. I have not experience any discomfort or problems post recover period and my vision is now the same as when i was wearing contact lenses...so very happy.”

“I was put at ease by the staff and they answered all of my questions. The surgery was quick and the aftercare has been thorough. I am pleased with my vision. I wish I had laser eye surgery sooner! Two of my friends have already had laser eye surgery after hearing about my experience.”

“It was very professional, staff were all very friendly and helpful, making the overall experience much easier to deal with in the initial instance. The actual surgery was very quick and pain free which was a relief post-op, and recovery time was very rapid. Ive worn glass for over 20 years so now I almost feel like anew person altogether. I would most certainly recommend laser eye surgery to anyone who wears glasses, it is the best investment I have ever made :-)”

“Although initially the experience was very nerve wracking and if I hadn't been frozen in fear when the procedure was taking place I may well have bolted I'm so glad I went ahead with the treatment as it has literally changed my life. I've gained more confidence, my sight has never been as good and although I have a little dry eye discomfort at the moment, I know this will pass with time. I had been thinking of having laser surgery for many years but never had the courage and was always worried about it being a realitively new procedure (I am talking about years ago now) but having spoken to a number of people at my current workplace who had gone through the procedure themselves, and with new and improved technology, it resolved all of my fears. I would definately recommend this to any of my friends and family and so glad that I mustered the confidence to go ahead with the procedure myself. Thank you all so much”

“Every day waking up and seeing clearly is the most amazing experience in the world. I have been wearing glasses for 17 years and my eyesight was sooo low. i was not able to do anything without glasses. Paying allot of money has not been an issue because i believed that i would get the best experience and the best eyesight. Ever since i have got my eyes done i have experienced everything differently and has also changed my personality. I love the new me. I would like to thank the optical express in giving me a chance to change my life Thank you :) :)”

“I booked in for a free initial consultation and was happy to go ahead with treatment after the staff answered all of my questions openly. On the day of surgery I was welcomed into the clinic and given a lot of reassurance. The surgeon took his time with me and made sure I was still comfortable with what was going to be done. Despite one of my eyes needing multiple attempts to apply the laser treatment to, the treatment was a success. Both eyes were a bit sore and heavy afterwards for a day or so, but vision was quick to return to what it was like with glasses prior to treatment. I now have better than 20/20 vision and feel 10 years younger! Due to mild dry eye symptoms, I still need to apply eyedrops two or three times a day, but seems to be decreasing over time.”

“I had laser eye surgery to correct my short-sightedness on 11 November 2011 at the age of 33. It cost me about ?1700, as cost is dependent on how poor your eyesight is, and my right eye was a pretty low -8. The staff at the Cabot Centre in Bristol were very professional, and I felt in very safe hands. I was quite nervous while waiting, as it was a weekday and sadly no-one was able to accompany me, but the procedure was very quick and painless. It literally only took 10 minutes from the moment I lay down to the moment I got up. It was a very odd thing to go through, and I was worried about moving my eyes, but I concentrated on looking straight above me and it was fine :) The surgeon was very nice and reassuring throughout. I could already see pretty well when I got up off the operating table, and I was able to take the bus home afterwards. As the surgery happened just after 11am, I spent the rest of the day in bed. It was pretty uncomfortable, and I had to refrain from scratching my eyes, which felt like they had sand in them, but there was no pain. The next-day check revealed that I already had 20/20 vision despite still being fairly blurry! Wearing sunglasses out for the next week was a bit odd, as was sleeping with goggles on, but it was soon over. I haven't had any problems since, and I'm so glad I did it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get rid of their glasses (I sponsored a friend and she loved it too). It's not as expensive as you think, and it's so worth it! And like many others, I do wish I'd done it sooner! :)”

“This was the best decision I have ever made. I feel so much confident in myself now and its great not to have the hassle of glasses or contact lenses. Although I still have difficulty with my night vision, I am confident that this will heal in time. All the staff here are so friendly and helpful. They don't make you feel bad when you ask questions, and they answer every question you have in a very friendly manner. I would recommend Optical Express to all of my friends and family.”

“The whole experience was much less traumatic than expected - I think a visit to the dentist is actually more invasive The only negative I would say regarding the surgery was losing most of my eye-lashes when the sheet was pulled away from my eyes - but they are starting to grow back now”
