“I was getting extremely fed up with my contact lenses, they where always irritable and my eyes kept on drying up whilst using my laptop and I didn't really feel comfortable wearing my glasses. I booked an appointment at Optical Express in Cardiff and within a week I had an appointment and was told I was suitable for the laser eye surgery. I was over the moon and didn't hesitate to book the procedure straight away. I woke up on the day of my surgery feeling anxious, however from the moment I arrived at Optical Express I was immediately put at ease. The team was very friendly, professional and the surgery was painless. I had LASIK Wavefront and I'm delighted with the results. It has boosted my confidence and I've never been happier with my appearance. Thank you Optical Express”

“Have been very happy with the outcome of the sugary and with the after care which has been supplied by the staff. have always been seen on time and have been delt with a very profesional attude by all the staff and shown curtisy at all times. Would recomend the procedure to family and friends,”

“Wanted Lasik but had to have Lasek due to thin cornea's. The differences were explained to me. It really wasn't plesant for those first 4 days. I wouldn't recommend EK to others unless they were totally okay with the recovery period and the uncomfortable experience. My vision is getting better by the day and it has been worth it for me. I put a hat over my face and goggles for 3 days to really rest my eyes and this really seems to have helped. Boring though... I would recommend getting a digital radio and mp3 player that you can operate blind.”

“I Had Intralase Lasik Eye surgery on Friday 15th Feb 13 and I would reccomend it to anyone. The only negative I can give on the whole experience is the waiting around, prepare to spend the most part of the day there which i think if this was explained beforehand would prevent a high level of anxiety and nerves. Apart from that all the staff are very friendly and professional and make you feel at ease. My Surgen Dr M Patel was amazing talking me through the procedue as it was being done making me feel more relaxed. The surgery takes between 10-15 minutes total for both eyes and as soon as i opened my eyes I could see. It was slightly cloudy for the first few hours but the next day when I woke up my vision was clear and i could see more than what i could with glasses on. I have had no discomfort or pain and am truly happy with the whole experiance.”

“I was scared to have a surgery because some people told that it is dangerous. But i was surprised that the treatment took only 10 minutes and it wasn't painful at all! The next morning i already could see better than with my glasses before surgery! Now i can enjoy my life without feeling discomfort from contact lenses or glasses.I think it is the best thing i have ever done in my life and i would recommend it to everyone! Thanks to "Opticial Express" for changing my life.”

“The surgery was explained well from the outset. The staff at optical express were very understanding, as I was quite apprehensive on the day of the surgery. They immediately put me at ease and explained the procedure. The surgery itself was painless and quick (less than twenty minutes). The follow up appointments were equally thorough. I would recommend optical express to anyone.”

“I am amazed that one simple procedure which is so quick and painless can be so effective and make such a difference to my life. It is still a novelty after a month and keep reminding myself I dont need to find my glasses first thing in the morning! Everyone here is really professional and obviously know what they are talking about. I would recommend laser eye surgery to anyone suitable. It has not been the instant perfect vision with regards to working on a computer and looking at small type but this is improved even now after a month and my general vision for walking around is 20/20 which I never thought possible. My only issue with this store which I have mentioned before is that on the appointments for consultation etc. they tend to leave you hanging without letting you know what you are waiting for or how long it is going to be. This can be quite off-putting and worrying that they have forgotton you.”

“I was very apprehensive about having the surgery and my husband was the person who made the enquiries for both of us. To be honest I tried not to think about it before the operation and proably only went through because I didn't ant to be wearing glasses if my husband wasn't. The staff in the Belfast shop have been fantastic and the staff in the hospital couldn't have been nicer - very helpful and informative. If I had one criticism it would be that in the period coming up to the operation we were not contacted and my husband had to do a lot of ringing to find out if we were having the surgery on the day we had initially agreed. Saying that a massive thank you I still cannot believe that I can see better now that I did when I was 30!!”
