“i had considered laser treatment for a long time but was put off because i knew that i would still need glasses for reading. i finally went ahead with it because i could not see my daughters whilst we were swimming! i am really pleased with the results for my distance vision, it actually seems sharper than before, and it is lovely to be able to go out without glasses on etc. the only downside is i do need glasses at work as i do alot of close work, and it is annoying that i have to put reading glasses on to look at my phone(for texts etc.) but overall i am pleased i finally took the plunge!”

“Whilst I had some reservations before having laser surgery, this was short lived.The teams both in Hove and London have been exceptional in terms of their professionalism and friendliness putting me at ease thru the treatment and after care. I highly recommend Optical Express to any one considering Laser Surgery.”

“I was a little nervous before the actual procedure but was put totally at ease by the surgeon, and felt very safe in his hands. The surgery went well. Recovery was a little tough in the first few days, but once I had the bandage lenses removed things improved immensely. As time has passed my vision has got better and better - I am looking forward to enjoying many things that I couldnt do in the future.”

“Alltogether: good care and aftercare from optical express. So much better without glasses. Should have done it 10 years before. Nevertheless, better now, than not have done it (be 40). Sport, waking up, clothes changing, etc. you just see clearly and have no hassle anymore.”

“make sure you get a surgeon who not only has good statistics (don't be shy to ask for this information) but who you feel personally comfortable with. this will make the surgery itself far less stressful - at least it did in my experience. i had LASIK, the most accurate and most expensive one. the surgery itself was pretty weird but the surgeon - Manick Patel, who I would totally recommend- and nurses helped by talking me through it, including counting down to the end of certain stages of the procedure. it really helped to know how long was left. after the surgery i felt very faint and shaky - lots of hot sweet tea helped. make sure you eat properly before your surgery! even if you are nervous- it will stand you in good stead afterwards. after the anaesthetic wore off, i was in quite strong discomfort - not pain exactly, but discomfort, too much to sleep really -for 4-6 hours - then it was gone. you will need someone there to look after you, for sure. i felt pretty fragile for the first few weeks of recovery, especially in crowded tubes etc, but my vision was pretty good straight away. my right eye is slightly less than perfect, but may improve with healing. I am def. glad i have done it, even at £3.5k.”

“All in all it was a very good experience havnig the surgery done. I would certainly get it done again. My eye sight is much better then it was with my glasses. I did have a little amout of dry eye afterwards but this is normal.. But i would advise anyone thinking of doing it to just do it.. Its a whole new life without glasses..”

“For the past 15 years I have been wearing contact lenses. This brought in a huge amount of hassle as it lead to dry gritty eyes. Having done laser eye surgery I dont have to wake up in the morning worrying about wearing contact lenses. It saves me alot of time and now I can carry on with certain sports and activities without having to worry about my contacts moving or falling out. Overall I am extremely happy! It was money well spent!.;))”

“easy,quick and almoust painless. The laser treatment was in shopping centre, easy to get there. The treatment it self was very quick, bit confusing, because you can see everything, not painfull at all thou. Money worth spending 100 % Dont have to worrie not to forget glasses anymore, brilliant!”

“Optical express puts you at ease, ensuring your visual journey is a relatively simple one. The Lasik procedure that I had only took 5 minutes and now I can see fine, perfectly in fact. I would definately recommend this to anyone my age becuase why waste money on glasses or contact lenses anymore?”
