About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I have mixed experiences with outback equipment. I received my 1st package of 2 on time but with missing components for one of the products, then Experienced great customer service after voicing my concerns. Offered a $50 refund, but never actually received it, then got told my other package would arrive in the next week. Keep in mind I already waited 2.5 weeks. This package then proceeded to take another 2.5 weeks to arrive. Great customer service, lacklustre handling and stocking.”

“This store sells things online that they don’t have in stock - communication is difficult as was getting a refund for an item that kept getting ‘delayed’. Wish I’d read other peoples reviews before purchasing from their online store.”

“You're pretty brave emailing me requesting a review. Not only do you sell stuff that you don't stock, but then it takes no input from your company to advise of this. You even accept priority express shipping fees, knowing that the items are only going to be express posted once you finally get the item in stock in a month or so. Just take the money, sit back and wait for the customer to ask where the goods are that they paid for weeks prior. Then, when we say bugger it, you don't stock it, give my money back, we then have to argue for weeks again to attempt to get the money back. Only when the purchase is disputed with the bank do you finally refund the money. Would I buy from you again? HELL NO. Would I recommend using Outback Equipment to a friend or colleague? ABSOLUTELY HELL NO...”

“We ordered a new awning for our caravan and the team at outback equipment were very helpful. It had to be ordered in and when it arrived they let us know and when we picked it up a staff member helped me load it to the roof of my car. We have always loved outback equipment and this time the customer service was like every other time. It was amazing. Thank you outback equipment.”
