About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I picked up the vest from Outback Equipment before heading inland—one of those buys you make hoping it’ll hold up when it matters. Out there, the mornings bite hard and the days don’t go easy on you. Dust in the air, wind that cuts through, and long stretches where you’ve got nothing but red dirt and your own company. That’s where the vest proved itself. Kept the chill off at first light, didn’t weigh me down once the sun came up. Tough enough to handle the rough stuff—scraping past fences, loading gear, sitting by a fire at the end of the day. Pockets earned their keep too, holding whatever I needed close. It’s not flashy, doesn’t try to be. Just solid, dependable gear that does its job without complaint. Out here, that’s all you really ask for—and this vest delivers.”

“The majority of the equipment order to date has been exceptional and delivered quickly. We have had one item we waited for over 3 months while the cost of the item was deducted on the initial date it was ordered, there was nothing on the web page notifying customers this item was out of stock. The way it was handled we would ask for a refund and purchase elsewhere this process could be improved.”

“Brought a hose reel bloody awesome bit of kit very happy with the build quality not only that the 1st one they sent got lost & I contracted them they raised a ticket confirmed it hadn't been delivered they sent another one straight out very easy to deal with great job team outback.”

“Working with this company has been one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made. They shipped the product—listed as “in stock” on their website—only after 1 month. When I tried to cancel my order, they kept my money and told me they would not refund it. I hope you stay away from these dodgy people when shopping.”

“Lists items as on sale ships within 7 days and weeks delays for delivery, so slow on my first order I had to pickup from store and the second order I cancelled because there was such a delay. Slow response receiving refund. Great pricing if not in a rush but wouldn’t recommend if you want the items in a normal timeframe regardless of paying for express shipping.”
