About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I purchased the battery fan for camping. I’ve recently had knee replacement surgery and been laid up for several months. The fan became my best friend as I could keep it close to me in bed. The light was great while taking pills during the night. The battery is amazing and lasts for days between charging. This fan serves many situations and I just love it. Best purchase I have made in years. Thank you.”

“Purchased Emperor padded chair not realising that even when in the most upright position it is still reclining which after a weekend of being away and using it I was left with severe back pain. Enquired about swapping for a different chair but unable to as it had been used. Purchased a new chair elsewhere went away camping for Easter no back pain. Chair needs to be advertised that it is always in a recline position”

“From my personal experience with Outback Equipment I can vouch for there customer service as being top notch. My recent purchase with them was excellent and I couldn't be any happier with them and there cookware kit absolutely rocks, definitely would recommend them as being reliable and very efficient on there deliveries. “Very disappointed! Ordered a water tank as it stated it was in stock online. After a week of no contact or emails regarding dispatch of water tank I called and staff told me they had it in stock and it would be dispatched that afternoon. A further three days until I got a notification saying it had been received by the courier. Ended up being 3 weeks to receive from when I ordered. All this to have one of the plastic welds in the tank to have a leak in it. Didn’t have time to ship back and wait longer for another to get shipped back out as a trip around Australia was already planned. Very disappointed to be honest!”
