About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“Purchased a DO35 Hitch but I ordered the wrong item (should have ordered the hitch set that includes the handbrake). The company were good and sent me the correct one after I paid the difference. The biggest problem, due to my incorrect order, was the hefty cost to return the original hitch.”

“I bought 2 footwell water tanks at the Acacia Ridge store last month. The staff were extremely helpful and advised me on the best hose/tap fittings. They carried my purchases to me car for me. Couldn’t be happier 😁”

“7 weeks delay before item finally arrived after dispute. Every time you call or emails unanswered or given excuses. Overall product works but for the hassle not worth the small discount. Better purchase elsewhere. Overall product does the job as intended”

“A very disappointing supplier. Send me someone else's order. Fail to send the instructions on how to return their error. Had to be asked twice. The item I ordered is yet to be supplied as they are out of stock. I would not reorder from or recommend Outback Equipment”

“I purchased the 3D tough Terrain fllor mats for a 300 series landcruiser, the rear and passenger mats were perfect but the drivers side mat does not seat prpoerly for the floor mat tags to close”

“I purchased a water tank from Outback equipment for the advertised price of $240, however when i completed the deal they charged me $348 ! They did reimburse me when I complained but then made me wait weeks for delivery. Not a good first time dealing with this company.”

“Great gear and some awesome bargains were scored, we’re loving the footwell water tank and 12v pump, it makes camping and travelling way more organised and space efficient and the recovery gear now gives us that piece of mind when driving offroad, knowing if we get in a spot of trouble we have the gear to get us out. Also the storage tool rolls and seat organisers are great quality bit of kit too… love it all guys, thanks 🙌”
