About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“Paid express post & it took over a week to get item, have used the bike cover once & it has torn where the hockey strap is, not happy as it wasn't cheap.”

“If you buy from these guys you’ll be waiting a very long time for your item if it should be sent by Their lousy courier service Do yourselves a favour and read there reviews Better still get it sent Aust Post. Had I read the reviews I would never had bought from them”

“So my order was placed on 18th of March and as 0f 29th April it is still transiting to Perth. So, I have had other deliveries from the eastern states and they get here within a reasonable time.”

“Whilst on the face of it, it looks like goods were sent, but that was over a month ago, still not recieved. Have contacted but no reply, mor from courier. I very much doubt i will purchase anything from you again.”

“The couriers you use are an absolute disgrace. Still waiting on my delivery that hasn’t arrived. Outback equipment promised delivery before Easter as I needed it to go away with for Easter. Aramex can’t tell me where it is after 7 phone calls and messages they can only tell me now it’s delayed somewhere between Brisbane and Melbourne. Not good enough. I will be requesting a full refund from either yourself or eBay, as I had to go and buy another one on Thursday afternoon so I could go away. Tracking no is QJ0001173280 I was almost committed to buying a 4wd winch but I won’t be buying anything from you while you use Aramex. No fault of you people, you have done the right thing -it’s your courier company. Regards. GeoffJohnson”

“Took a lot longer than expected and told on the phone fire delivery still missing fittings called up and told it was in a separate shipment. Never came. Poor communication. Just be honest with time lines”

“I am surprised I was asked to post a review since I had possibly the worst online experience with OE and I buy online quite a bit. I purchased 2x products early Jan, after a month I followed it up and was told they were waiting on stock from the supplier. Another month later I followed up and wa s told they no longer deal with the supplier and I will be refunded. The refund was short so I had to follow up again to get the rest refunded. Not once in this process did they advise me they didn't have the stock I paid for, nor that it was delayed, nor that it was cancelled. Shame, I like supporting smaller businesses over the big players.”

“I ordered my gear from Outback on the 21st Feb 22. To date I still haven’t received the gear. I have followed up a few times now and still according to Aramex Perth Depot still hasn’t checked it in. Check this morning and no surprises still the same status. Aramex Couriers are clearly useless and suggested to Outback they use someone else. I ordered gear from another supplier last week and received it yesterday. To wait 5 weeks now is ridiculous and simply want my money back if not delivered by the end of this week. Won’t be ordering from Outback again!”

“Useless. I ordered a towbar, that I required urgently. 2 weeks went by with no communication from the sales team. When I enquired about my order, I was told that they had been trying to contact me. That was a lie because i had received no phone calls or emails from them. They wanted to ask the particular model of my car (which they already had). When I gave them the details of my car again. A few more days went by and then I was told that the towbar was not in stock. Even though on the website it said it was in stock. I was given a refund after wasting 3 weeks of my time. Won't bother with them again.”
