About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Ordered a BMpro temperature monitor back in late November. Called the week before Christmas advising tracking # wasn’t showing details. Outback staff member was going to follow up with the freight company and email me as well. Another week later still waiting for call..very disappointed.

I purchased a Redback exhaust system from OE back in October. When I placed the order online it said the exhaust configuration was in stock. A week later after not hearing anything about my order I then called up and was told parts were on back order. I was fine with that and am aware of the current shortages and shipping issues. I then called again weeks later to be told everything was in stock and it would be shipped that day. Weeks went by again and I was told one item was on back order. I then called again last week to be told everything was in stock and it would be “shipped that day”. Every time I call OE I get a different answer. The sole reason I ordered from OE was because their website showed in stock where as other companies said no stock and back order. Definitely won’t be doing future business with OE.

If you don't have the stock say so. And don't charge for express post when items aren't even in the country.

Faulty item on arrival, Took 4 weeks to arrive and customer service team is next to useless. Apparently have to send it back taking weeks then to the manufacturer then back to them to come back to me. Asked for a refund as I need a oven and was a mistake dealing with them. Now I'm stuck with a faulty $400 oven. Never shop here again

When I received the tyre deflators, I set them as per instructions to 18 psi. I then tried them out and they did not stop at the previously set pressure. I noticed tyres seemed quite low in pressure and they were still releasing air from the tyres. I removed the deflators and checked pressure to find them at 10psi. Havent used them since. Although cheaper than other brands I had expected better.

Hi, my item is yet to be delivered. Tracking info has not updated since 23 Oct. Goods were to be here by 2-8 Nov, you haven’t replied to two emails I’ve sent asking for an update so I’m not happy and will be reluctant to order from you again

What a disappointment! Your management team and dispatch is appalling. My fridge was left sitting without being sent for 18 days. I was offered a $20 refund (which i never received) even after speaking with your management team another 3 times. I will be sure to let people know about this and to not use your service. This is totally unacceptable.

The compass I bought doesn't settle. When trying to calibrate the screws fell off. Cheaply made. The packageing it was sent in is so bad for the environment

Not a good experience, at the beginning was told would arrive between 3-5 days max. I waited more then 2 weeks for the parts to arrive. 3 phone calls to find out what was going on.

Worst snorkel ever made, stencil for cutting and drilling holes on fender didn’t match anything, actual snorkel didn’t fit the fender, product ad with all piping in picture wasn’t supplied and when contacting customer service was told the picture of product was just a generic one. Customer service was horrible. Don’t buy this snorkel

Sorry but I cant even bring my self to give Outback Equipment 1 star. Ive had nothing but the worst experience ive ever had when ordering something online. I cant even put into words the drama this has been. If I never asked questions or chased up this order I probably would never of recieved it all

The customer service was rubbish. I was sent the wrong part which is not a problem these things happen. What was poor was that I had to ring three times to sort it out even though I was told each time someone would call me back. It is clear to me that the support staff don’t understand the products you sell, the remedy they initially provided me completely wrong. I eventually after calling for a fourth time had to be put in contact with the manufacturer who sorted the issue out in less than 5 minutes .

Took them 2 weeks to actually send the item (taking in to account it was one item,own boxed all it needed was a shipping label), then after numerous phone calls, finally got a tracking number. On top of that found out later if I had ordered through Ebay on their site (Rather than direct) I would have saved $140.00 on freight !!!!!!

Very poor service. Your choice of freight being Openfreight is just disgusting! If I’d been told it would go out for a courier agent I would have never have purchased from you. If you choose to use someone open because of size then use pack n send. They are excellent
