About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“This company is appalling to deal with!! I order 4 weeks ago & still waiting. Called the company & they promised to call back & nothing. I called a week later & was brushed off. Speaking to others I now know they have had this reputation in the past of sending wrong items & taking ages to deliver! Avoid using them if you can-they’ll take your money & send you a stupid amount of ‘specials/sale’ emails but not provide goods you pay for! They are also stupid enough to ask for feedback BEFORE items arrive!”

“I am totally disappointed. I ordered the Fiamma part I needed for my bike rack on the 11 September. The website indicated it was in stock. So far I have received advice that my order would be delayed and then received the wrong part. It was returned. It is currently the 20 October, the part has still not been delivered and I have received no ongoing information. It has been 30 days. That’s too long. I am dissatisfied with Outback Equipment’s service. Gordon Clipsham”

“If there was a box for ZERO I would have ticked that. You are quite happy to take my money, send me someone else's order and not reply to emails. Lesson learnt .. BTW .. STILL WAITING FOR THE CORRECT ORDER !!”

“Very poor service would never buy from again and would not recommend anyone else to buy from you. Was ringing about a lost parcel and the people I spoke to was not interested and was meant to call me back but didn’t.”

“One of the worst aftersales customer service experiences ever. It was like talking to a wall. He was uninterested and distant. Was like talking to a robot. He really needs to learn some people skills. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but I'm sure you could find out if you could be bothered to do so.”

“delivery took nearly a month - lucky did not need the item in a hurry. No consultation re long delivery time. Would purchase elsewhere next time.”

“Items were poorly packaged arrived with damage which was mostly cosmetic. The tank had one corner dented and was no longer square. The delivery took longer then was indicated at the time of placing the order. I did not consider the damage significant enough to return and and wait weeks longer for a replacement however I would not purchase again.”
