About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“Very happy with purchase, and the customer service was outstanding particularly when it got lost in the Australia Post system & was sent to various states across Australia. We are traveling so needed it to arrive within a timeframe, customer service did an amazing job to get it delivered before we needed to move on to our next destination, very happy, & would recommend this company”

“My order was split into 2 deliveries. When l received the parcel it was missing a fitting. Call and was told to wait until the second delivery of water pipe was received to check if the missed item worth $12 was with it. I played the game and then had to send pictures showing that l had received 1 instead of 2 ordered. Another eeek went by. I finally had to request a return authority to send the whole order back as l could not do my install. Final another week until l received there missing item. I will never use this company again. They are slow and incompetent.”

“Bought wrong anti flap kit. Tried to send back to OE. Shipping costs two thirds of original price for refund of outstanding credit. Will have to sell privately. Not worth the effort. Make sure you buy the correct item. After sales is a joke!!!”

“Great quality, great size, looks nice without all the usual over the top branding. The only issue I found was that it’s hard on my Defender and also FJ to have it sit correctly as the back loop (behind the spare) can’t be pulled down far enough so the bag itself sits quite low on the wheel. Not the end of the world.”

“sorry for the negaqtive review, however the last experince was that you guys took an extremely long time to even get around to posting the article ordered. ordered on 6 Feb... posted 16 Feb.. Luckly time pressure was not extreme, Had a week up my sleev befroe being extreme and having to take other measures.”

“The Caravan LED tail and blinker lights started to fail so i looked online for replacements, I found the right size Road Vision lights at OUTBACK Equipment at a good price so i ordered 4 units, they arrived quickly and were easy to install. Thanks Outback Equipment for the speedy delivery as we were going away the following week and needed them asap.”

“The tail gate assist kit is impossible to install due to the bolt that it requires you to take out. The bolts in question are from factory locktited torx bolts that is extremely difficult to remove and will end up shearing itself before coming out. I highly suggest to not attempt it for your tools and car sake.”
